What I wish they'd improve on is their customer service which has been lacking for years. I mean, it really feels like the employees here are miserable and don't want to be there. I bought a hoodie at Marie Laveau's this week and the lady rolled her eyes at me and gave me attitude from the get go. I had asked for the hoodie by number (their apparel is numbered) and she tells me with feistiness 'we only have one'. They actually have two. A black one and a tie dye one but I didn't want to spare with her. Apparently they didn't have my size up front and she says 'i don't have your size here. There may be some upstairs' and she pauses, hoping for me to say 'oh, it's okay, Don't worry about it'. She clearly did not want to sell me anything. I told her I'd like the hoodie if she could please check for me. That is when she rolled her eyes at me and said she'd be back. The hoodie is not cheap. $60, which I gladly paid. The previous day I had purchased several books and figures from Reverend Zombies and same crappy service. Do they want business or not? Sometimes I wonder. Again, to reiterate, their merchandise is awesome. If you're into horror, voodoo and the occult this is your shop. Just don't expect a smile from their employees or appreciation for your business.

They have the most amazing and creative items at incredible prices. They really try to support all women or small artisans all around the world. The ownership of the shop is by two women, and they are both local to New Orleans. Their policies about shopping and refunds are very clear and they have great customer service. In particular if there's something you want that is not in the shop, you can always inquire if they have it in storage or at another location. There's a lovely dressing room for two individuals to try on clothing. There are cold drinks to purchase in the cooler if you're walking through the French Quarter. There's a lovely selection of items from all over the world, but mainly it is the clothing design designed by Passion Lilie and the jewelry design designed by Beatrix Bell. There is a series of book shelves devoted to her work with the coffin frame around it. They have both autographed vintage copies of her work and newer editions. They have an excellent selection of local writers and locally-based work in addition to general fiction, nonfiction, LGTBQIA+, and more. There is also the Epilogue Bar if you want to enjoy a drink while reading the book you purchased. I picked up a few books centered around NOLA that were intriguing to me. The two staff behind the front counter were chatty and friendly as we made our purchases. It's a great location to check out at The Rink building in the Garden District.

A Large (10-12) is more like a Medium (6-8) pre wash. Absolutely need to size up if you're willing to run the risk of the shirt just falling apart on you. Went back to exchange for non-defective shirts but they would not offer any assistance because we didn't keep the receipt. Man worker first said he could try to look it up because we charged it, but the woman worker with the shoulder length dirty brown wavy hair kept telling him not to help me make it right. Standard gimmick store tourist trap. The staff is very friendly and helpful when you're asking questions about products pre-purchase. BUT, zero customer service skills post sale. Money grab store that doesn't take responsibility for their defective products. Unless, allegedly, you have your receipt. KEY POINTS 1.) Keep your receipt or TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR RECEIPT. 2.)
