The owner (I'm not sure if it's specifically female-owned vs family-owned) was so hospitable in tempering my disappointment (I was visiting the area). I instead went for a croissant breakfast sandwich (also a backup option as they offer this with the biscuit dough) and it was delicious. Not over-weighted on the croissant bread, it was just right. The next day, my colleague ordered ahead and got a box so I got to taste a variety of scronuts. It tasted like a slightly crispier coffee cake. While my colleague thought it was too sweet (she sugars her coffee), I had a black decaf with mine and it was just right. Our other coworkers also dug in and there wasn't any left over. They are very easy to slip up on and are somewhat dependent on how strong you like your matcha.
