We found this restaurant on trip advisory. This place really made our night in Nice. It's located in the beautiful old town area. They have the option of ordering from the regular menu or prix menu. The type of food is Corsican which is super tasty! We loved the risotto and lamb. And the Nutella dessert was mouth watering! I would def visit this restaurant again. The arugula salad was hands down the best salad I had on our entire vacation. Pros Takes reservations Cute outdoor seating Delicious menu Great service Reasonable prices (by France standards)

Cute spot with lots of outdoor seating in a picturesque small street in Nice. Service was very friendly, and food was good. I got the large burrata salad, which was delicious, and my friend got the fish stew which she said was very good. Our other friend ordered the gnocchi but they came back and said they were all out, so she got the risotto with basil foam instead, which was surprisingly good (we had never heard of basil foam before but it was interesting!). We also got the bon Mille feuille for dessert which was like crisp wafers with a delicious cream and caramel. A beautiful spot to hang out with friends and enjoy a glass of wine on a warm evening in nice. Highly recommend!

Mouthwatering lamb shank with mashed potato! Very tasty

Food, service, ambiance, wine is outstanding!!!! It's a little hidden in one of the less travelled streets in Old Town Nice but definitely a must try! Had dinner and enjoyed everything the staff recommended. Get the fix menu if you like choices, it's absolutely worthwhile!!!

Great little spot for dinner. There is a set 30euro option which featured a few options for each a starter, main and dessert. Service was attentive, the recommendations was sincere. It was a little quiet at first then after about 30 minutes, the tables were filled up. At the end we couldn't really make up our minds on a dessert, we understand minimal french. The server did his best to get the right dish for us and the souffle was great. Thanks for a great night.

This is a hidden gem. Unassuming with amazing daily specials and a few southern French staples forming the back bone of a great menu. Service is attentive and helpful with recommendations and informative descriptions of many dishes. We had the beef filet and gnocchi and each was delicious. We will be back on our next Nice weekend.

We were lucky enough to get a seat at this place, it was on the outside table so it was dreadfully cold as it was the 4th December 2015 in the middle of winter. We managed to eat the first course outside. It was a wonderful mushroom pasta dish with a parmaham mousse which was just so delicious and delicate. We got our main meal but by this time myself and my friend could barely feel our fingers anymore and asked to be moved inside, the staff were ever so helpful and found us a seat almost immediately when saw how cold we looked. We got a lovely little spot that was so warm and comfortable and we were able to finish our main course inside. I went with the lamb shank with mashed potato as the photos I saw from previous guests showed how amazing it looked. I went for the tart for dessert which by this time I could have rolled out the door I was so full, it was probably one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Yes as a lot of other people have said the place is somewhat hard to find but it's certainly worth the effort and try and get a reservation if you can apparently upto a week in advanced. It's also a wonderful location if you are looking to celebrate a special occasion while you are staying or just visiting Nice.

Very very good. We went without reservation and we had place only inside. The atmosphere was cozy and very nice! The food was tasty and enough for dinner! I am not a fan of duck, but this one was full of flavors! We could not take the dessert because we were full. Not to cheap:))) Love it! Thanks the yelp community for the reviews!

Great meal in France!…read more This was a fantastic first dinner in Nice right off the main drag. We had reservation for 7pm and arrived a few minutes early. We waited a few minutes while they prepped our table and we were seated promptly. The vibe was cool, very French cafe feeling on the streets. The waiters were kind and attentive was you settled in. They patiently answered all our menu questions. We ordered the fois gras (because when in France), the duck and the octopus. All the food was excellent, the fois gras was perfect (although probably wouldn't order it again for ethical reasons). The octopus was absolutely perfect, very very easy to screw up, but they nailed it; every bit melting in our mouths. The duck breast was perfect, juicy and cooked to perfect. All the dishes were served with plenty of accompaniment. Great meal for a great French experience. Would highly recommend.

Maybe not fair for them, but on our previous night, the previous chicken dinner was 5 stars for her. I got the beef stew over gnocchi. Not bad, but even for a light eater, it was NOT enough food for me?!?! Got a glass of Bordeaux which was good, until I noticed the locals got twice as generous of a pour?!? The second time I noticed this while dining out... Happy for them, but to see the inconsistency affects me... Ambiance - Small local business/restaurant. Prime tourist location/area. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. One unisex toilet. Service - Welcoming. Made online reservations, but because we are NOT tech savvy, it booked the wrong time. So since we were in the area, we just walked by and asked them to change the time and had no problems. Price - 49 Euros, $57 USD. Expensive for what we got IMO. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.

Also note there is no cell service or WiFi service in the restaurant. Nice ambiance in the restaurant and away from the hustle and bustle of Nice. We ordered the squid, Foie Gras and Filet Mignon. All 3 were very good though I am not a fan of the Fois Gras but it came with a nice salad and bread. The squid was seasoned well and cut thin and flash fried. The filet was sliced and cooked perfect The potatoes were great and also nice salad came with it. Service was ok. Prices Moderate.

I was sooo looking forward to dining here, but unfortunately, I was left with cheese on my face (sorry no eggs here, only cheese, cheese, and more cheese). We arrived a bit early for our reservation (15-20 minutes), but we were seated immediately, which was nice; the table was stuffed into a corner, but at least we were seated. Unfortunately, that was about where the niceness ended. The restaurant is supposed to be housed in a former cheese cave, which I thought would be exciting and romantic, instead it was just hot and cramped. This is one of those restaurants that tries to accommodate as many diners as possible, so we were basically eating right on top of another couple (who were incredibly displeased, even stating, "this service is abysmal"). We could literally hear every word spoken up to two tables away, so don't expect to have any privacy, except from the servers that is. Service was unpleasant and extremely minimal. Our server took our food and drink order, delivered our drinks, another server apologized for the delay in receiving our meal, and our original server delivered our meal...and that was it. They didn't refill our water bottle, ask if I wanted another glass of wine, stop by to see if we liked our meal -or needed else (which we did), or even bring a check. After waiting too long for our check, table full of finished plates and empty cups, we eventually just got up and headed upstairs. Apparently you're supposed to head upstairs to pay, but we'd have never known since our server was doing they're best David Copperfield impression. Now for the food. The kitchen was tiny tiny, so it's no wonder the menu consists of cheese for the starter, cheese for the entree, and cheese for dessert. Sprinkled in-between the assortment of cheeses was a steak masquerading on the menu as "Aubrac Bib", whatever that means, and the Tartiflette, think pork belly scalloped potatoes and the only thing you should order here. The Tartiflette was microwave-lunch small, but it was hot, rich, and pretty meaty for the size. I got the Camembert (takes 30 minutes) and it was pretty awful as a meal. It's not even really a dish. They literally opened up the wooden wheel of cheese, peeled back the paper, sprinkled a few things on top, then baked for 30 minutes, so it was more of just a cheese dish. It arrived-paper still covering the top, and was served with some under-seasoned fingerling potatoes and a salad. The salad was good and potatoes were okay, but the cheese was so one-note, it needed meat or veggies to dip in it. Unfortunately, I only had the few potatoes and two small bits of baguette to dunk, so my only option was to eat it like soup, which I did not-so half remained wasted and uneaten. We would have liked to have eaten dessert, but after the poor meal, and lack of even offering dessert, "How could we?". I'm giving 2 stars for the Tartiflette because it was delicious. I would not return and DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This was our favorite meal of our trip to Nice!…read more Warning: Reservations are hard to come by we dropped by and only reservations available were for 9pm two nights later. We took it. The place is super relaxed. 5 maybe 6 tables which made the difficulty of reservations more understandable. Prix fix menu - 4 appetizers to choose from, 4 entrees and 4 desserts. We were there with somewhat of a limited diet, but the options were awesome. We got a cauliflower appetizer and an artichoke one. Both were excellent. We all had the cod for dinner also delicious - served in a bath of traditional fish soup and with potatoes. The dessert was also excellent - we got the goat cheese in olive oil and garlic, the cream cheese with blueberry compote, lemon cheesecake and cinnamon "tiramisu". Every bite was full of flavor and such cool takes on the food. Now the intangibles - we arrived for our 9pm reservation, restaurant closes at 9:30 and we probably didn't walk out until 11:15 and there was still another table of 8 people dining. The host/waiter, Sebastian, was awesome. So friendly and we at no point felt rushed. In fact the opposite. When our daughter was slow in finishing her meal he joked with her instead of hurrying us along. Once we finished our main dish, he casually brought us our dessert and because we didn't order his favorite (we didn't know) he brought us out an extra to enjoy. We felt a little bad so somewhat accelerated the dessert phase so we could square up and leave. Instead he was unhurried, he casually cleared our table and chatted with us for a bit. It took us another 15 minutes before we finally said could we get the bill. He brought it to us another 5-7 minutes later. We had a great experience and one of our best meals in France, if not the best.
