Tri-color tortellini with truffle Alfredo sauce, and Italian sausage

Beautiful little ByOB with wonderful servers and talented chefs who go a bit extra, above and beyond. We've been here twice now and have enjoyed every dish we ordered. Right next to the Elkins Park train station so you can get here from midtown Manhattan with only one transfer and Center City direct.

Le Onde was really delicious. Flavors were on point. The bread was amazing, and the truffle butter was even better. The side caesar salad was sizeable, with a surprisingly faint sweet note. Note: all pasta on the menu is homemade, minus the penne. I ordered the lobster ravioli. It was so delicious. My only gripe and why I knocked a star off, there was SO much shell in the sauce from the crab. Luckily I am not off put by this, but it was a ridiculous amount of shell in at least 8 of my bites. Not appropriate, especially for a $29 dish. The shrimp and bucatini was so fresh. The chicken and manicotti was delicious. Portions were plentiful and service was very accommodating.

Special of the day, Squid Ink Pasta w/Grilled Branzino. My brother had the Lobster Ravioli. Both 10/10!

All I have to say about Le Onde is WOW! The meal, the service, the atmosphere--everything was nothing short of amazing. What I loved most about Le Onde is the intimate setting on a cozy corner in Elkin's Park. The moment you walk in, you feel like family. The outdoor patio is gorgeous, spacious & provides you with the perfect setting to commune with your family and friends. I ordered the special of the day which was a Squid Ink Pasta with Grilled Branzino. The pasta perfectly al dente and the fish was fresh, tender, & flavorful. The meal also came with complimentary bread that was warm and delicious, and a lightly salted butter than tasted like it was freshly churned this morning. This restaurant is BYOB, so keep that in mind. But if you're looking for high quality service with even higher quality ingredients, dishes & flavors, then please check out this local gem. Kudos to Chef Artur!

What a gem! We sat on the patio on a beautiful day and the statue fountain made it more nicer. I loved the lights and the grape vines as well. Food was perfectly cooked and fresh. The waitress was wonderful and very attentive! They give you a good amount of food as well. This will be my new favorite spot! Oh and it's BYOB!!!!!

We had a lovely meal on the patio. Make sure to get the peach burrata appetizer. Portions are huge. Service was great. I even had some good luck between courses. Check out my photo!

Delightful place. Offers some different menu options to the usual Italian fare. The fresh anchovy & artichoke salad is a must.

I called for a reservation on Sat. afternoon for that evening. Was told to come at 5:30pm (!) because they were going to be crowded later. No additional customers came to be seated outside. A handful of customers arrived for dinner after 6pm. When we asked why we were told to arrive so early, the manager said that the kitchen gets crowded, so they have to limit the number of customers to not "overwhelm" the chef. But at 5:55pm, there were only 3 couples inside and we were outside. We think that it may have been a simple mistake, but we will never know. The second problem is that for the last two Saturdays there, they have been hosting a daycare center (?) with several kids running around pretending to water the plants, playing with the hose, etc. for over 1 1/2 hrs. The outdoor dining area was soaked. Not optimal for a Saturday evening dining with a fine wine. Also, the outdoor music speaker was broken for at least 2 weeks. No music to enjoy. Just the screaming kids. Lastly, our check listed prices that were higher than those on the menu. Normally, we would not have even paid attention. But we were so unhappy already, we asked for a menu. Perhaps we were mistaken? No. We were told that they are raising their prices, but the new menus were not yet printed. We suggested that, to avoid further confusion, they simply charge the prices that were listed on the menu. And this is where the worst insult came in for us. The manager said that if we were worried about a few dollars, then we were......(cheapskates was implied, not spoken). We didn't argue. We wished them well. For several years we have enjoyed La Piovra and before that the Trattoria Sicilian. The food is decent to very good, and the atmosphere had a relaxing, European feel. It has now turned into an active daycare on a Saturday night with an insulting, fundamentally dishonest manager. And an honest apology would have sufficed.

I made a reservation and selected that we were visiting for a celebration and wanted a regular table, not a high top. When we arrived we were escorted to the bar side of the restaurant and brought to a high top. The hostess was happy to move us to a nearby regular table when I mentioned it, which we were happy about. We started with cocktails - a white sangria and one of their signature cocktails - the orange blossom. Both were presented nicely and really good. For our apps we opted for the pizza bread with pesto and calamari. I don't like calamari much, but my bff loves it. However, I ended up having 3 pieces because it was so good. The pizza bread wasn't what I envisioned. It was a very thin, almost flatbread like texture, with a thick layer of pesto. I should have opted for the tomato topping instead. For our entrees, we did the make your own pasta dish with gnocchi, grilled chicken, peas, and a Rosa sauce, the chicken piccata, and a side of the parmesan roasted potatoes. The gnocchi was the standout here. It was pillowy, light, and so flavorful with the Rosa sauce. I could have eaten the whole thing. The chicken piccata was a little strong on the lemon side and the sauce needed to be a bit thicker. If it was served over pasta I think it would have taken it up a notch. The crispy parmesan potatoes were a hit. They were seasoned very well and delicious. They have a selection of desserts as well, but we decided to skip this time around. Our server was hustling and did a great job checking in on us. The establishment feels more like a nicer pizza place than a date night spot, but I'd go back for the gnocchi alone.

I visited for the first time (definitely won't be my last!) on Sunday evening with a few girlfriends. The area is popular due to the Keswick Theatre being nearby, so I definitely recommend a reservation. Every dish here is authentically Italian and made from scratch. It's a BYOB establishment and gives off an early 2000's Tuscan vibe. Props to our waitress, Chelsea, who didn't miss a beat. She made the dining experience so enjoyable. I was with friends that are regulars at Trevi, and she remembered what they typically order. It's clear she genuinely enjoys her job and goes above and beyond for her customers. Our group ordered a few appetizers to start - the Brussels sprouts and fried burrata ravioli were great options for vegetarians like me. The Brussels were seasoned nicely and the fried ravioli was crispy. I highly recommend the eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was thinly sliced and breaded. I asked for spaghetti on the side and it came with the perfect amount of sauce. Chelsea also stopped by with a cheese grater and sprinkled some cheese on top. We couldn't leave without having desserts and there were plenty of those to go around. I personally couldn't wait to try the banana gelato and I was not disappointed one bit! It was thick, creamy and full of banana flavor. From the food, to the service, to the customers, everything you encounter at TreVi is wholesome. The energy inside just makes you feel at home. I look forward to dining here again soon!

You'll find on-street parking during lunch time pretty easily. The inside is closed off so you have to order and pickup from a take out window which is a big con. I'm not sure if it's a lingering policy from the COVID shutdowns or the neighborhood not being as safe as it once was, but I really wish they'd let customers in! The lady at the window was very nice. Now the important part, if you enjoy a soft crust you'll enjoy theirs. I prefer a crispy crust, but theirs is fresh, soft and not chewy. The cheese had a good looking melt and flavor (they advertise using Grande cheese), it complimented the sauce well. Sauce wise was a tasty mix of sweet and tangy flavors. On both trips the pizza was consistent and they were NOT a greasy mess! I'll have to try their tomato pie on another trip. I'd recommend ordering pizza from here and would repeat. There wasn't a printed menu inside, so we were directed to view it online. We ordered the square white pizza because we were told it was thinner than the round pizza. We added chicken and sausage, and the total came to about $20. The pizza was okay, but it wasn't my favorite. I would have liked more sauce, and I found the chicken to be a little dry. The sausage had much better flavor. The crust was not crispy like I prefer. The restaurant itself is very spacious, with plenty of seating if you want to dine in. I also liked the old-style bench near the front where customers can sit while waiting for their order. Parking is probably the biggest challenge. There isn't a dedicated parking lot, so you'll need to find street parking, which is limited. Many of the nearby spaces seem to be occupied by neighboring businesses. One thing I did observe that concerned me was food handling. I saw a few employees using their cell phones in the kitchen area. After using their phones, they appeared to go back to handling food without first washing their hands or putting on fresh gloves. The employee who prepared my pizza was not one of the people I observed doing this, so I felt okay about my order. However, cell phones can carry a lot of germs, and proper handwashing before handling food is an important food safety practice. I hope management reminds employees to wash their hands and change gloves after using their phones. Overall, the service was fine, but I wasn't particularly impressed with the pizza for the price.
