We went back to Moma for New Year's Eve, and the food was every bit as good, if not better, than the last time we visited Moma. Ironically, we ordered the same dishes, except for the appetizer. The appetizer, crab cakes, were excellent! I lived in Maryland for 30 years....I know good crab cakes. While these were not the typical cakes with Old Bay Seasoning, the seasonings and sauce used were very unique and luscious!! I ordered the Pomegranate Braised Short Ribs, which were so tender they practically melted in my mouth. The gravy and couscous made it a decadently delicious dish. My partner ordered the Spaghetti with clams and swordfish. It also was so appetizing and the swordfish especially was heavenly. I've increased my rating from 4 to 5 stars as this gem of a restaurant may be the best in Glenside. read more

Moma Mediterranean Kitchen Maria and I had an amazing dinner at Moma Mediterranean Kitchen. The restaurant is beautiful inside, the vibe is upscale but still comfortable, and the staff made us feel taken care of the entire time. Ardor was seriously fantastic super attentive, friendly, and made the experience smooth from start to finish. Everything we ordered was full of flavor. The tzatziki was fresh and creamy, the burek was crispy and delicious, and the paella came out perfectly cooked with great seasoning. The real standout for us was the lamb shank tender, rich, and absolutely worth ordering. We also tried a few sides and honestly there wasn't a single miss. If you're looking for a great Mediterranean spot with quality food and great service, this place is a must. We'll definitely be coming back. read more

This is a gem in the neighborhood! The food was amazing. I wish I'd taken some pictures. My husband had the Dorado whole fish. That was the special of the night and it was so sweet and succulent. It was really really good. I had the lamb shank, which was also amazing. I'm looking forward to going back again in the future and many many more items on the menu!! We enjoyed a very nice dinner here with my son and his girlfriend. Food, service and ambiance were incredible. Only negative was that my wife ordered the tuna special and when bill came we were a bit surprised they charged $66 for the price of tuna. Food is very good but is quite pricey. I can't say enough about Moma. My friends and I decided to have a ladies night out. We decided on Moma because it was a Friday Night and also Lent and they have seafood options. We were seated in the upstairs dining area. Our hostess was very sweet. She explained the specials to us and they all sounded amazing. We ordered a few appetizers and decided on the Rainbow Trout and the Pasta seafood dish. All the food was so fresh and just delicious as well as our desserts. The Tres Leches is thee best. The restaurant is also BYOB and that was a plus. We loved Moma and had such a great time. I'm sure we all will be back. read more

We went to Moma for the first time recently and had a wonderful experience. It's a small, lovely and intimate space. As far as the food goes - everything was great! The kind of great that makes you smile when you eat it. I'm so happy to have an upscale place like this so close to home. BYO restaurants are my favorite, so I love that aspect as well. I absolutely love this restaurant!!! Everything is soooo fresh, they are so accommodating for gluten free diets, and the ambiance is more like a little restaurant in Greece! Food comes out so beautiful, hot and delicious!!! I love the Bronzino, the Albanian salad, and the Tzatziki!!! The bread is made from flour from Greece- so it doesn't have the kind of gluten that would make you sick if you just have a gluten intolerance like me. The service is so personalized and has a family feel. We've already been back 3 times in a month!!!!! read more

This charming little restaurant on a side street In Glenside is a gem in the rough. Fresh seafood that you get to see and choose emphasizes the care and quality being offered at this restaurant. The food is a Mediterranean mix and fusions of Italian, Spanish, Mideastern, the likes of which I have never seen outside of a big city. I had grilled Dorado, excellent, my wife had the Short Ribs with pomegranate sauce, delish. For a starter I highly recommend the Israeli Duo. Just do it! I'd heard great things about Moma and was so excited to be invited there during restaurant week. We arrived to a packed house of happy people. We had to wait a little longer for service, but it was understandable. The menu looked great, but sadly the food didn't meet my expectations. The eggplant appetizer was bland as was the short rib, the main course. Salt and pepper weren't on the table and I couldn't get the waitress' attention to get any. Dessert wasn't included in the prix fixe menu and I'm sorry I bothered to spend the additional money since it didn't look or taste as if it were made in Moma's kitchen. I see rave reviews and was hoping I'd be dazzled especially since there are so few good restaurants in the area, but Moma isn't that. read more

Could be a 4.5 star but given the price point in what is a modest-rent suburb 4-stars reflects its solid offering. The place is a small restaurant which is generally a plus although conceivably it could be a bit tricky on service but our experience was totally fine. Being a BYOB is a plus, especially given the menu. The portions were reasonably sized and our table's favorite was the shrimp appetizer which was tasty... would have been better if accompanied with more bread for the table. The ingredients are fresh which perhaps also explains the modest use of spices, although just having simple access to salt and pepper on the table (there were none) would have enhanced individual discretions. A very solid place if in the area especially for concerts at the Keswick, but not quite a foodie destination per se. read more

It was our first time at Moma and we were overwhelmed! The food was delicious and beautifully presented We shared two Mezzes, the Israeli duo and the roasted cauliflower Both were excellent and came with vegetables and pita For our entree we ordered the Seafood paella for two. It was a great choice! There was so much seafood and fantastic rice that we ate every last bite Love the fact that it's a BYOB too. All in all it was a fantastic date night!
