Bread and peppers to start the meal.

Classic Italian food with attentive staff. Great low light ambience. Good for family or date night. Probably some of the best Italian food I've had in the Philadelphia area. Will go again.

April 28, 2023 - First time here. Went with my Uncle and my wife. Ordered fish entre of sole and bronzini. The fish was okay but not very flavorful. The filet/portion was surprising diminutive (it looked like my uncle and wife both got half portions??) with lots of vegetables and potatoes. Our service was okay and we felt rushed in the beginning as the restaurant went from empty to filling as I think our waiter was hoping to quickly turn the table..... we got dessert all three of us and no appetizers. No drinks. The bill was almost $250 for three people?????? Wow.

Veal saltimbocca. Look at all that oil.

The service and the atmosphere were both very nice. The food was very, very mediocre for the price point. We had: - Bread: The bread was fine. It should have been served with olive oil, not two plastic packets of butter. - Calamari: This was ok. It did not have the jalapeños that were advertised. - Arancini: Not good at all. Very, very mushy with a layer of beef that didn't need to be there. - Veal saltimbocca: Also not good. The veal was tough. The prosciutto lacked any crispiness. The cheese wasn't quite melted all the way. There was no sage flavor. The dish was covered in oil. - Ribeye: Very, very not good. The steak was big. The temperature was right. There was zero-- and I mean zero-- flavor. - Crème brûlée cheesecake and tiramisu were both fine. Neither were particularly large portions. It was $135 for two without tip or drinks. I can't imagine we'll be back.

Very tender and lightly breaded Calamari May 2022

My first time in Jenkintown, my son had a Football game in Northeast Philly and after the game he wanted Ravioli. Using Yelp, I found Ristorante Marzano. Walking in I got the feel of a family run restaurant. The hostess and waitresses happily greeting regular customers by name, even though it was our first time here my family received a very warm welcome. I note that because I've been to small local restaurants that I've felt slightly like and outsider compared to the regular patrons, but not at Marzano we felt comfortable and welcomed. Our waitress Josephina, was attentive and efficient with her service. Marzano provides complimentary fresh hot bread and butter for your table that was excellent. We ordered Calamari, Arancini and Antipasto as our appetizers The Calamari is very lightly breaded and tender, the Antipasto was enjoyable and the rosted peppers are excellent, my favorite was the Arancini which was very close to my Aunt Maria's Arancini (by Italian Family law I can't say it was as good as hers) I could have easily eaten 2 orders of the Arancini myself! My son, who's craving for Ravioli was the reason for our visit to Marzano, got his Cheese Ravioli with red sauce. He loved them so much that unfortunately he finished them all and poor old Dad didn't get to eat one!(He's grounded!) A friend of our also order Ravioli with Pink Vodka Cream Sauce (as listed on the menu) she also cleaned her plate and was happy with her meal. My wife ordered Paccheri Cremosi, again I was angered because she enjoyed her selection so much she didn't leave anything behind for me to finish off! I order Bolognese Sauce with Linguine cooked Al dente, the menu had it served with Rigatoni which is logical, so that the sauce is captured inside the Rigatoni, but I love to twirl so Linguine for me. To my delight my Linguine was served, as ordered, Al dente!!! Marzano is a real Italian Restaurant but this confirmed they are a proud Italian Restaurant! I always order pasta Al dente but sadly, either the waitress in other restaurants doesn't relay that to the kitchen or the kitchen in other restaurants doesn't comply to my request. Marzano cooked the Pasta perfectly Al dente and the Bolognese was delicious! I finished the pasta and cleaned my bowl with the fresh hot bread. Nothing left for anyone to sample! Think we are done?! Nope! Dessert time! We got Oreo Cheesecake, Raspberry Cheesecake both excellent!!!! And and order of Creme Brule Cheesecake to go for my Daughter(she loved it!) When we were done my wife had to roll me to our car! I was full and happy on our drive back to South Jersey! If Marzano was closer we would definitely be regulars, if we're ever in the area again we'll be back.

This restaurant has a spacious parking lot at the back. Very spacious dining area. They can accommodate a couple of groups of private parties. They do not have paper menu. You can see it by scanning the QR code or they will lend you an iPad. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The complimentary Italian bread is warm and crusty. Fried calamari wasn't heavily breaded. Instead of being served in rings, they came in bite sizes. Fresh and perfectly cooked. Pear salad: arugula with poached pear and goat cheese. I normally do not the bitter flavor of arugula but this one isn't bitter at all. Very delicious and didn't have too much dressing. My entree is halibut with crab meat served with potatoes and vegetable. Big slice of the halibut, the crab on top is a bit too salty. Dessert menu isn't available online. Instead the waitress brings you a tray of the available dessert options, very inviting. Peanut butter pie is delicious and so is limoncello cake. Tiramisu is ok.

Tender chicken with ham & chz in a garlic lemon butter sauce & a side of pasta! Bravo

I had a taste for authentic Italian food while I was on vacation, so I went to this place for lunch. Everything was so good, I had to restrain myself & eat only half. Plus the service was superb. I'll be back!

Delicious! They make the food themselves and the prices are reasonable. The quantity is good. I don't feel like it's so little that it feels like a rip off, and it's not so much that it feels like I'm trying to be stuffed. Parking and entrance are in the back (the front entrance is closed off.)

Food was decent, glad we tried it but there are other Italian restaurants in the area that offer higher quality food at better prices.

The vibe…read morewas chill and welcoming as soon as I walked in, nothing too fancy but still really nice and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and checked in just enough without being annoying. The food was the best part for sure. Everything tasted fresh and actually well-seasoned, especially the seafood. You can tell it's not just thrown together--it had that real Mediterranean flavor. The portions were good too, I definitely left full. There's also a nice variety on the menu, so it's easy to find something you'll like. Overall, it's a really solid spot. If you're into seafood or just want something different with good flavor, I'd definitely recommend it. I'd go back for sure.

We were looking to try a different restaurant this weekend, and decided to try Seven Seas…read more We started with a yummy roasted eggplant remoulade with tomato. I put it on the fresh pita and it was an excellent starter. We ordered the Caesar Salad - it was very good - fresh, green leafy lettuce - crispy croutons, a sprinkling of grated cheese, and a delicious dressing. Next up, the Crab Bisque. I lived in Maryland for 30 years and had crab bisque many, many times. This was the first crab bisque that wasn't tomato based - it was a brownish, creamy version. It was more like chowder - although when I looked up 'bisque', it most certainly can be creamy. I might have been fine with the 'creamy version', but it lacked any crab flavor and had no crab in it - not one shred. I've never had any fish soup that had no fish in it. I took a few spoonfuls and left it. My partner tried it and came to the same conclusion. The entrees came next - I got the Seared Branzino and my partner got the Shrimp and Scallops. The Seared Branzino was okay - there were bites where I had a very fishy taste - and it was a very small piece of fish. My partner's Shrimp and Scallops came with steamed garlic spinach and mashed potatoes. The Scallops were tender and cooked perfectly - they were in a delicious sauce and had a very nice sear. However, the Shrimp were tough and chewy - we were both very surprised to have one item (scallops) so good, and another (shrimp) on the same plate, that was so bad. The steamed garlic spinach and mashed potatoes were very good. While our Caesar salad, Scallops and side dishes were very good, the rest of the meal was lacking.

I kept suggesting we go there one night for dinner and finally on a bustling Saturday evening we did! We were asked if we wanted to sit outside or inside and we chose outside so we could listen to the music and enjoy the ambience. We perused the menu and decided to start with a cocktail. I ordered "the Unicorn" which is described as having "assorted fruit liquor" and the server told me they were out of the fruit liquor. So I went with Robert's dew, while my bf got the Dragonberry mojito. Our drinks arrived fairly quickly and they were decent. We decided to start with the cheesesteak egg rolls as an app and for our entrees I did the crab cakes and he did the fried chicken. The egg rolls were also served very quickly, but it was at this moment we realized we had no silverware or napkins while everyone around us had cloth napkins on their laps. We managed to flag down our server and asked for napkins. She came back with cocktail napkins. It was our fault for not explaining we did not have silverware either, but our table was bare so we didn't realize we needed to be more specific. The egg rolls were served with a spicy ketchup, and were hot and delicious, with fried onions and a crispy coated outer shell. When our entrees arrived we still didn't manage to get silverware but the person delivering our food brought it over quickly. Now it's at this point I should mention I'm quite the foodie, who not only dines out frequently but also loves to cook. My crab cakes were a little on the "fishy" side and lacked flavor. All of the flavor was on the lemon aioli they were served with. That being said, they were definitely filled with crab and didn't seem to contain much filler. They just need some additional seasoning. The risotto it was served with could also use seasoning as well. My bfs fried chicken was served with French fries, Cole slaw, and corn bread. I tasted it and would give it all a 3/5 rating. Not bad at all, but nothing to rave about. It was on the dry side and again lacked flavor. We were considering dessert since we saw there were a few cookie style skillets when we looked up the menu in advance, but we were on the fence about if we should. When our server didn't ask if we wanted dessert we opted to skip it this time. Overall, the ambience is fun and it's a great place for a drink and apps with friends. The flatbread pizza seemed to be the star of the show and I think next time we will order from the sandwich, burger, or pizza menu rather than a full on dinner. Our server was HUSTLING and may have had a few tables inside too, which can be stressful, plus the restaurant was busy. We will come back and try again.
