THIS is the place for BIPOC customers looking for laser treatments! It's so easy to work with Shelly and Maya. Shelly is the owner and incredibly accommodating. For those who are shy on the phone or screen their phone calls against scammers, she texts so you'll always know what you're getting. Maya is also incredibly easy to work with and she will teach you how to care for your skin and check that the laser is working! She's always making sure you're safe and that your skin looks great. The first time I got laser, it DID hurt...but Shelly held my hand haha. And Maya instructed me how to breathe as to help me manage the pain. This is a private room so there's nobody else there. The waiting room has a bathroom and water station so if you come early or need to take a call, it's very easy. And it's very centrally located, right off of Madison square park. These women are just so nice and easy to work with. I started going to Le Parlour NYC Laser Spa because I was going insane (and broke) trying to find skincare products that would help my acne/rosacea. Previously, I used Tretinoin 0.025% for 1 year and the dermatologist said I had reached max efficacy with the product...but I still wasn't happy with my skin. I wrote the same review on Google Reviews, but my results are so good that it needs to be shared on Yelp! After weeks of comparing different facial laser spas and reading a lot of off-putting reviews from other businesses, I came across Le Parlour NYC Laser Spa. Throughout my life, my skin has been an issue but thankfully the issues have subsided with age. However, due to previously having a lot of acne, I still have a lot of hyperpigmentation/discoloration/redness and uneven texture. I saw a photo review from a prior client of theirs and was amazed at the before and after results. They wowed me so much that I immediately took a leap of faith and booked a phone consultation in which Shelley reached out and kindly guided me regarding what treatments needed to be done in order to help reach my skincare goals. She suggested I do the laser facials, laser skin brightening treatments, and the led light therapy. Since one laser is not enough to see results, I got a package of 6 sessions which spanned throughout 4/5 months. During the laser facial sessions, Maya was super gentle and reassuring with her techniques. The lasers were tolerable and did not hurt for the most part, plus there was barely any downtime at all afterwards. Maya thoroughly explained to me what was necessary for the aftercare, and they offer a variety of skincare products which surprisingly helped my skin a lot. After each session, Shelley would reach out, asking me how my skin was doing and if I had any questions, which I found helpful. Now that I have completed 6 sessions, my skin tone and texture is looking better by the day. I'm so happy that my skin is looking great in time for summer, so I don't need to cover my skin in foundation or concealer just for it to melt off in the heat -- I just need to apply sunscreen, and that's it! I felt compelled to write a review after all of my friends have told me they had done laser hair removal and I should do it as well but warned of the pain. I have to tell you it was pain free and I have a low tolerance of pain. Le Parlour NYC Laser spa cares for you during you service. Maya was fast and efficient after only one session my hair was all gone . But she reminded me I have to come 6 time to ensure no more hair growth. She would ask how I'm feeling during my treatment so I felt safe in her care. I even bought a laser facials package when my hair removal session was over. I cannot say enough good things about my entire experience at Le Parlour! My skin has changed so much in the last couple of years, unfortunately stress and years of not wearing sunblock and hours in the sun finally took its toll. All of a sudden I was oily, I had obvious sun spots and pores that were just too visibly large for comfort. Maya and Shelley were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in discussing what was going on with my skin and how to treat it. First, they pointed out that my skin care products were definitely not helping my cause and were in fact exacerbating my oiliness. Second, they recommended a new regimen that flipped everything I believed true about what you're supposed to do in your morning and evening routine upside down. Third, I took their recommendation on the products to use instead (which are available at the studio), and let me just tell you that I have cut down on my skincare product spend drastically with far fewer steps. Fourth, after following the treatment plan of 6 laser facials and 3 microdermabrasions, my skin is now so much more even toned and has basically resurfaced itself. My pores and sun spots are noticeably smaller and I am definitely not as oily. Now I can walk out the door with under-eye concealer and feel confident in my own skin!
