I really enjoy this breakfast spot. It's not your aesthetically pleasing small portion breakfast spot, if that's what you're looking for. It is very satisfying, huge portions, and very home-y. The cinnamon roll is amazing and always comes out piping hottttt. So so sweet and so soft and just overall tasty. As for my main meal I always go between the lumberjack breakfast or buddy's favorite skillet. There were a bit more tortilla chips than needed but the presentation was good. The southern Benedict was good but I thought the meat was a little lackluster. That said, their phenomenal ranch potatoes were so good they can overcome any part of the dish that could have used improvement. I could eat those suckers for breakfast lunch and dinner. I don't know why Le Peep puts raw vegetables in their omelette (is it a timesaver?) but it is pretty weird because all other omelettes I've had feature cooked vegetables. So TIP: if you want cooked vegetables in any of your Le Peep entrees, be sure to request so when placing your order. The accompanying grits are also pretty unimpressive. +EXPERIENCE+ The food took maybe 15 or so minutes to arrive, just on the verge of seeming a little long for eggs. I love breakfast food so I like to try as many breakfast restaurants as I can. I am new to Houston and I saw this place because it was nearby and the reviews I saw were pretty good. I went there in the early afternoon during the week. Parking was good and there was no wait to be seated. I sat at the bar and the server was fairly attentive and friendly enough. I ordered a scramble and it was pretty good, but nothing special. Nothing stood out, but I would definitely go back if I was just looking for a decent quick breakfast that was reasonably priced. I would give this restaurant 3.5 stars, but it doesn't seem to let me leave half stars. 1/2 stars! Next time I'll have to try a mimosa because it looked like they had some good ones! read more

When dining out there are several things that remain constant with me. I am expecting good service, great tasting food, great presentation of the food and reviewing the condition of the restaurant. This restaurant is very outdated. It looks more like a diner stuck in the early 90s. We arrived right when the restaurant was opening. My coworkers and I were seated in a matter of minutes. We all scanned the menu and were unable to decide what we wanted as there was a wide variety of choices. However, we kicked off our meal by having dessert first. We had the Texas size cinnamon roll that was dripping in sauce and butter. It was served hot and boy did it give you a nice sugar rush. Thank God this was being shared between three people! This was delicious, but the presentation could have been better. Literally the cinnamon roll was SWIMMING IN ICING AND BUTTER. For an entree I had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was slightly over cooked and the chicken strips were seasoned well. Again, the food tasted good. However, it just didn't look appealing when it was brought to me. I would like to give the restaurant 4 stars, but the food wasn't great enough to overlook the other aforementioned concerns I had.
