The spaghetti lobster with steak is so bomb the flavors all together is exciting and fulfilling! Thank you chef! This is my first time at this location, I use to go to the one DTLA when I use to live there! Many memories there and now I'm starting new ones here! THANK You Teagan for your best service! We will be back!

Yummy food and drinks with great vibes. The ceviche was delicious as well as the truffle fries. Cocktails are delicious as well. For my entree I got the steak and lobster spaghetti. My steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster was nice and tender.

It is particular place around Galleria. Valet parking is $12 plus. The food service is very fast. We order Mini Short Rib to share and had Crispy Nigiri ( sushi on rice cake instead of rice) and Tuna Poke Bowl as main dishes. The flavor was not exceptional and the portion was kind of small for the price you pay. The Poke Bowl had too much rice not enough tuna. It is a convenient place to dine. I am not around here, but Houston has so many great places to choose from.

Service was great as usual, delicious food as usual! Went for a work lunch and ordered their Chicken Parmesan always 10/10 and tried their Lobster spaghetti it was super good! Portions can be shareable. Classy spacious restaurant. I've come back several times and will continue to.

Valet is a few steps from the front door of JOEY Uptown, which is super convenient because the Galleria is so huge. The place is open and airy with a garden vibe; lots of huge windows. Service was impeccable! The drinks are fantastic! My steak was cooked to a perfect medium. My husband's blackened chicken was super juicy and tender as well. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.

Finally made it to Joey Uptown and it did not disappoint. I ordered the steak and ravioli, and both were sooo good. perfectly cooked, flavorful, and honestly the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. I also had a peach bellini and it was just as good--light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The vibe was really nice too, great for a night out or even a cute dinner spot. Definitely coming back to try more things on the menu. Also our waitress brought us a complimentary crème brulee cheesecake, and it was so delicious!

We came here for lunch on Easter. We were seated right away. You need to make reservations here as there was a wait This is a beautiful restaurant. Complementary mimosas or a glass of orange juice was made available to all guests - not sure if this was an easter gift or if this is done on the weekends; nonetheless, it was a nice touch. The server immediately came over with menu and spoke to us for a bit. The server had some recommendations, both yays and nays - I liked this when he suggested certain dishes and was not a fan of others. He also suggested side orders - we were receptive to his thoughts. Service was outstanding. The food came out and it was picture perfect. It is an expensive place. For a special occasion or holiday this is a nice place to go.

Within walking distance to The Westin Hotel @ The Galleria, we choose this place over Del Fresco's because we are in Fort Worth and wanted something we could not visit at home. On Easter Eve, we were worried we would have a hard time getting seated. The wait for a party of 3 would have been about 30 minutes, not bad for 7PM. We requested the bar top in order to avoid the short wait and were settled immediately. The bar staff, as individuals were pleasant and stayed busy the entire time we were seated. Unfortunately the service was not so great. We ordered our initial drinks but seemed to wait a little long to place our food order. Service never came back to ensure our food came out correctly or to check on our drinks. My husband had to physically wave down one of the bar staff in order to order an additional drink. The chicken fajitas, lobster spaghetti, and steak & shrimp raviolis were thankfully cooked to order and were good. The lady sitting next to us ordered the steak & shrimp ravioli as well and requested sauce from the server. She waited for about 5 minutes before asking for the sauce again from one of the bar staff. By the time her sauce arrived, her entire meal for cold. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and has great patio type seating. The mixture of visitors were interesting. There were numerous groups eating at Joey's with what might be described as club attire. The lighting during our visit had a low setting that could create ambiance for dates and special occasions. As good as the food and the setting was, the low rating is a result of the lack of service we received after seeing the reviews posted here. I hope others have better experiences than we did. When these challenges were raised with the manager he was interested in hearing what improvements could be made and did not make excuses.

Came here with family and once again Joeys is consistent! If you want great service and fresh, flavorful, and filling food?! Go ahead and make that reservation. Also! This was on a Sunday afternoon and we only waited about 20 minutes without a reservation.

Even though Joey Uptown is a chain throughout the US, this Galleria location is always gonna be my favorite. I've celebrated special events and birthdays at this location, but this time around, I came in for a little happy hour with my mother. Right after checking in at the host's table, we were greeted with champagne. The wait for a table wasn't that long. My mom and I were able to order super quickly and we already knew what we wanted. We came for their espresso martinis and seared salmon sushi. Both of these two items are amazing here!! We also got the spicy crab dip. The spicy crab dip was meh but tasted so much better after we added some lemon and pickled ginger from the sushi on top. Side note: the cajun blackened chicken and butter cake are so bomb here. If I wanted a full-on meal, these two are non-negotiables along with the seared salmon sushi.

Went here the other day and once last September for small birthday reservations. The service this time was really disappointing and slow. Sat at the table for 20 minutes before getting even getting water!! And then we had to wait another 20 minutes to get our orders taken. We were sat right by the kitchen so all of the servers passed us sitting with menus on the table for 40 minutes before being helped. Was a bit frustrating. Despite the terrible service this time, the food here is surprisingly good--which I would hope for given the high price point. The chicken on the carbonara udon wasn't as flavorful as the first time we went here though so I'm worried about inconsistencies. The creme brulee cheesecake they gave is the best I've had, was sad when we finished it

    steak and potatoes so delicious!!!!

This lovely modern upscale Canadian chain restaurant came highly recommended by our Dior salesman and I can't wait to see him again so I can thank him profusely. This chain also has restaurants in California like Newport Beach, Miami and all over Canada. Wow, from the minute we walked in we were welcomed on a busy Saturday night without a reservation. We were offered a glass of champagne while we waited for our table!! What? Wow and Thank you!!! I have never ever ever been offered a complimentary glass of champagne at a restaurant while I wait for my table. It made the very short wait worthwhile! Our waiter was sweet and we ordered the most amazing delicious potstickers! We continued drinking champagne which was a nice celebratory festive way to start our meal. I ordered the lobster pasta and steak and WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW, OMG the most delicious meal I have ever had in a long time. Mr. G also had some steak with some mashed potatoes that were hidden inside an egg roll wrapper? What?!! Wow, so delicious! The portions were plenty to we got the rest to go and I got the enjoy my delicious meal one more time! I can't WAIT TO GO BACK!! The only downer to my meal was a light from outdoor that reflected right on me, but next time I'll request a different table. Everyone was dressed to impress. Don't miss!

Ask the Community - JOEY Uptown

    To they still have valet?

    $12

Is there handicapped parking (van accessible)? We don't valet because of our specially equipped van.)

They have valet parking that is very convenient.

    Does Joey Uptown validate parking?

    They don't validate

    What are the prices?

I would budget $80-100 pp with 1-2 drinks each

Do they take reservations for 15 people?

Yes, call ahead. I called a few days before our dinner to make a reservation for a large party.

Are you allowed to bring a cake to celebrate a birthday?

They discourage it, however if your party is larger than 6 they will, due to the mandatory 20% gratuity added for large parties.

What time is happy hour and what days?

Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 4pm to 7pm

    Is there brunch?

    Yes.

What time does their kitchen close?

    11:30pm

Do you have a private room for groups? If so, for how many people? Thanks!

    Yes, they do

    Do they have valet parking?

Yes! It's a third party with the mall but it is an option.

Can you bring your own wine bottles? No one answers the phone btw - have been on hold for over 10 minutes

No. They have their own bar, it's a regular chained restaurant. It's not a byob.

I heard there was a table minimum on groups over 6 ppl. Is this accurate and what is the amount (per table or person)?

Hi, I recently called the establishment and they have informed me that there is a minimum for groups over 14 people -- which will entail a direct deposit and a minimum spending of $100/per person, which is insane!

What time do they stop serving food??? It's 9am and no one is answering the phone when I called the restaurant?…

They don't open until 11:30 am until midnight

    What's the dress code?

    Trendy and business casual

Do they have a weekend brunch menu?

    No they do not

How late they stop serving food?

They stop at Midnight. At least on a Thursday!

    Are kids welcomed?

It's not really a place for kids, but would say it's ok for a mature kid who could enjoy the food. Maybe you want to be seated in the air conditioned patio area where it's has bright sunlight and is a little more casual. That's where we sat and…

I was so torn inbetween all the options that were presented to me, but decided to go with Blk Mkt Birria. Their birria tacos were great! There was something slightly spicy about them (maybe the tortilla since it was a literal red color?) so if you are SUPER sensitive to spice I wouldnt order these. They did have limited edition Birria Tamales which I just HAD to try. Honestly they were just a tad bit dry on their own but drenching it in the Birria consommé (which is what the consommé was meant for) it was great! I didn't have a car and this place is conveniently across the street, so it became the default option. I remembered my first experience wasn't great, but I couldn't recall exactly why--this second visit quickly reminded me. When I ordered over the phone, I was a little taken aback to learn they don't use traditional Mexican white cheeses like Oaxaca or queso fresco--only mozzarella. That honestly stumped me, and the woman on the phone could probably tell by my pause. The tacos themselves were good, but very small. They also came with only one corn tortilla instead of the usual double tortilla you'd expect from street tacos. On top of that, the order was five tacos instead of the more common six for around the same price point ($14.99), which seems to be a growing trend but still feels disappointing. There were no complimentary chips and salsa, so I had to order those separately. The upside is that the salsa selection was actually pretty good. I also ordered fries, not realizing they were $7. While the portion was decent, they definitely didn't feel like a $7 side--more in the $4-$5 range. Overall, the tacos did satisfy my craving, but not enough to make this a go-to spot. They've got darts too if you want something to do between matches. Will be back to actually try the menu.

Ducky McShweeney’s Pub - Hawaiian pizza. Nice flavor... a little too floppy in the middle. Wish it had a little more crisp and structure.

Not every seat would Have been as good as ours was. We sat on the patio right in front of one of the TVs, and I was pleasantly surprised that they had the game audio playing both inside and outside. That's something you don't always find in the Galleria area, and it really made the atmosphere feel more like a true sports bar without sacrificing the nicer restaurant vibe. I ordered the Thai chili chicken, which was honestly really good. We also shared the guacamole, and one of my friends got the white chocolate brownie with ice cream for dessert. Everything we ordered was worth it, and we had a handful of drinks while watching the match. No specials on the weekend but happy hour M-F 3-6 My only real complaint was the Texas summer heat. The patio fans did essentially nothing when it's 100° outside, so while the outdoor setup was great, it would be much more enjoyable in the fall or on a cooler evening. Overall, I'd definitely come back maybe for a happy hour next or when the weather is a little more forgiving.

His service was simply outstanding and he went above and beyond to make sure my companion and I enjoyed our meal! I enjoyed not only my meal but also the fun energetic atmosphere with World Cup games on their overhead TV's in their bar area. I also liked their open view kitchen concept which sparkled like new. I am already planning our return visit and of course I'll request Paul again!

Our waitress gets 5 stars for letting me know the drink I was ordering was $28 and then recommended a cheaper and probably better option. My Mahi Mahi sandwich was perfection and I loved the crispy right out the fryer fries. I am sad to see this place go but glad we were able to say goodbye and enjoy the food.

Grand Lux Café -- Big Space, Big Portions, Big Win…read more This was a great find. We stopped by the Grand Lux Café to share lunch with one of my mom's first cousins while we were in town for a family event. When we arrived, the restaurant felt almost empty -- but that's only because the place is huge. In a smaller restaurant, the same number of people would've had the place packed to the gills. The decor immediately caught my attention. It gave me Cheesecake Factory vibes mixed with a touch of European flair. Lots of cement pillars, reliefs up top, and floors that looked like marble (though I'm pretty sure it was tile). Either way, it worked. The space felt grand without feeling cold. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, and the food was delicious -- which is really all you can ask for. This is definitely going on my list of go-to spots when I'm visiting the area again. This place would be perfect for large family gatherings or group meals. On our way out, I noticed a really nice bar area that looked ideal for small group meetups or quick lunch meetings. It felt versatile -- whether you're there to linger or just grab a bite. Now let's talk dessert. Right at the front entrance is a full dessert display where you can buy slices of cakes and pies -- or possibly the whole thing to take home. That part really reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory. And the food portions? Almost obscene. Generous doesn't even fully cover it. Huge plates, bold flavors, and nothing tasted bland. Maybe it's something in the Texas water, or maybe Texans just like their food rich and flavorful -- either way, my California taste buds didn't even need to reach for the salt. I highly recommend this place. If you're in the area, give it a try. And if something isn't quite right, let the staff know -- I get the sense they'll do their best to make it right. Enjoy the food journey.
