I love Joey. Everything from the aesthetic to the food is always on point. If you're boujie and love a good upscale dinner, this is definitely the spot. They even greet you with a complimentary glass of champagne as soon as you walk in which sets the tone for the whole experience. I brought my girl here for a anniversary date night and we had such a good time. Madeline was our server and she was amazing. I believe Monica was the manager and she made sure everything was perfect too. The food came out fresh, flavorful and every dish was delicious. It is particular place around Galleria. Valet parking is $12 plus. The food service is very fast. We order Mini Short Rib to share and had Crispy Nigiri ( sushi on rice cake instead of rice) and Tuna Poke Bowl as main dishes. The flavor was not exceptional and the portion was kind of small for the price you pay. The Poke Bowl had too much rice not enough tuna. It is a convenient place to dine. Finally made it to Joey Uptown and it did not disappoint. I ordered the steak and ravioli, and both were sooo good. perfectly cooked, flavorful, and honestly the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. I also had a peach bellini and it was just as good--light, refreshing, and not overly sweet. The vibe was really nice too, great for a night out or even a cute dinner spot. We came here for lunch on Easter. We were seated right away. You need to make reservations here as there was a wait This is a beautiful restaurant. Complementary mimosas or a glass of orange juice was made available to all guests - not sure if this was an easter gift or if this is done on the weekends; nonetheless, it was a nice touch. The server immediately came over with menu and spoke to us for a bit. The server had some recommendations, both yays and nays - I liked this when he suggested certain dishes and was not a fan of others. He also suggested side orders - we were receptive to his thoughts. Within walking distance to The Westin Hotel @ The Galleria, we choose this place over Del Fresco's because we are in Fort Worth and wanted something we could not visit at home. On Easter Eve, we were worried we would have a hard time getting seated. The wait for a party of 3 would have been about 30 minutes, not bad for 7PM. We requested the bar top in order to avoid the short wait and were settled immediately. The bar staff, as individuals were pleasant and stayed busy the entire time we were seated. Unfortunately the service was not so great. We ordered our initial drinks but seemed to wait a little long to place our food order. Service never came back to ensure our food came out correctly or to check on our drinks. My husband had to physically wave down one of the bar staff in order to order an additional drink. The chicken fajitas, lobster spaghetti, and steak & shrimp raviolis were thankfully cooked to order and were good. The lady sitting next to us ordered the steak & shrimp ravioli as well and requested sauce from the server. She waited for about 5 minutes before asking for the sauce again from one of the bar staff. By the time her sauce arrived, her entire meal for cold. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and has great patio type seating. The mixture of visitors were interesting. There were numerous groups eating at Joey's with what might be described as club attire. The lighting during our visit had a low setting that could create ambiance for dates and special occasions. As good as the food and the setting was, the low rating is a result of the lack of service we received after seeing the reviews posted here. I hope others have better experiences than we did. Even though Joey Uptown is a chain throughout the US, this Galleria location is always gonna be my favorite. I've celebrated special events and birthdays at this location, but this time around, I came in for a little happy hour with my mother. Right after checking in at the host's table, we were greeted with champagne. The wait for a table wasn't that long. My mom and I were able to order super quickly and we already knew what we wanted. We came for their espresso martinis and seared salmon sushi. Both of these two items are amazing here!! We also got the spicy crab dip. The spicy crab dip was meh but tasted so much better after we added some lemon and pickled ginger from the sushi on top. Side note: the cajun blackened chicken and butter cake are so bomb here. Went here the other day and once last September for small birthday reservations. The service this time was really disappointing and slow. Sat at the table for 20 minutes before getting even getting water!! And then we had to wait another 20 minutes to get our orders taken. We were sat right by the kitchen so all of the servers passed us sitting with menus on the table for 40 minutes before being helped. Was a bit frustrating. Despite the terrible service this time, the food here is surprisingly good--which I would hope for given the high price point. The chicken on the carbonara udon wasn't as flavorful as the first time we went here though so I'm worried about inconsistencies. Not my first Joey's experience so I knew what we were walking into. They do a great job with most of their dishes here. Almost a can't go wrong with what you order type of place. It's also still the only place I've been that serves you free bubbles when you check in. Which is such a killer idea. The ambiance makes for a good date night or could even be a work dinner event. This was a really tasty dinner! J and I stopped by for his birthday during happy hour with a reservation. The hosts greeted us with complimentary champagne which was a nice touch. We were soon led to our table - the restaurant is very spacious and includes a nice covered patio area. We were seated inside the restaurant at a table for two. Our server was kind and attentive throughout our meal. We decided on their regular menu as it sounded the most appetizing - we opted for the crab dip appetizer to share. J ordered the Joey classic steak and I got the steak frites. We also decided on the passion fruit and good life margaritas. Our drinks came first - we enjoyed the spice level and the presentation was really nice as well. They were quite well-balanced. The crab dip was good, but not quite the level we expected based on the price tag. It was creamy and the baguette slices were nice and crunchy. Now for our entrees - J really enjoyed his classic steak. I tried a bite and found it delicious as well. The potatoes were also cooked in a unique way and very tasty. My steak frites order was also tasty - the steak was heavily spiced which I didn't mind, though I think I prefer the Joey steak overall. The fries were lovely - perfectly crisp and the dips were also delicious. The side salad was nice as well. We enjoyed our meal here! Karla and the staff were fantastic. Can they bring a location to NYC please. The best comparison I can give it is Hillstone but more personality. They greet you upon arrival with a complimentary Procesco. World class service. I am not going to gatekeep - you must sit at the bar if you are going especially solo. Just incredible energy and perfect seating for people watching. When I tell you I was here 3 times for a 5 day work trip and it never disappointed with anything on the menu. Table for one on a Friday late night and wow, this is definitely a popular place! Nice vehicles pulling up dropping people off all dressed up, dark inside with lights and a huge screen. I waited for a bit then got seated at the end of the bar--I was initially concerned but the staff was so friendly and joked around with me since it was my first time. Steak and shrimp and ravioli-- what the heck? This is my dream dish because it combines several dishes I normally would have to order separately into one delicious combo. The steak and shrimp were tender, and the ravioli was so flavorful! I really enjoyed this dish and it was a very ample portion. The dumplings were a very solid and reliable appetizer, the chili crisp had a great kick. The French dip bites were just right. I love how small and cute they are! If I was at a big table and someone ordered a huge plate of these I would probably lose myself just having one after another because they have such a great kick and flavor combo. Love! Another star of the show was the crispy rice bites--I have had this dish plenty in Japanese restaurants or hip places in LA but this was particularly well made, and the small rice puffs were a great addition to balance out the mouth feel. Came in Saturday with a group of girlfriends (7) to celebrate our dear friends studio opening. Everything was going good, until it started raining. It started raining on one of our friends & we ended up moving.. just for the new spot to also rain on the same person + others. On top of that hazardous situation, the same friend who got rained on literally slipped & almost injured herself really badly. Thankfully all she did was stub her elbow (on table) & is a bit bruised on her shin (she hit the chair) because it truly could've been worse. The manager at that time (she had on a suit that was green I believe) literally saw it happened & said/did nothing. We wanted to be moved inside but no accommodations were made and I think we would've had to wait for space inside as well. As dinner comes to the end we thought the morning manager would at least make the evening manager aware of what was going, but she didn't. Normally if a table was having an "experience" such as ours, they'd come around and check up and see how things were going-- like if we rain dropped more-- nope! Nothing. By the end of the night we were all baffled by the lack of hospitality & care for us as guests and just people in general. I get it, it's a Saturday evening, it's busy but the least you guys could've done was check back in or act like we were getting rained on. Instead they gave us 2 bottles of the complimentary champagne given to guests upon entry. It was a group of 7 women at the table btw-- smart move . Very disappointing experience. And you guys should NOT have the patio open while it's raining regardless if the rain doesn't seep through in multiple places, all you need is one spot. Hands down one of my favorite places to splurge! Complimentary champagne upon arrival, floor to ceiling glass windows, sleek n chic decor - JOEY Uptown eminates class. The ambiance is incredible; this restaurant gives you a reason to show up and show out. I personally love coming here for special occasions and date nights. Needless to say, everything is aethetically pleasing, including the food. Against all odds, the food tastes as good as it looks (which is incredibly hard to come by nowadays). The menu has a wide variety of items with an emphasis on my 2 favorites: Italian and Asian cuisine. My all-time favorite dishes had to be the Scallop & Prawn Ceviche, Sake Glazed Chilean Sea Bass, and pretty much any sushi roll. All of my friends agreed that pretty much every dish we ordered was delicious, perfectly cooked to temp, and bursting with flavor. The only critque being that the Lobster Spaghetti could use more lobster for as expensive as it is. The service started off really well, as our server got us situated and took care of all our orders. (I forget her name but she was blonde) However, towards the halfway through dinner, she started to fizz out and not come to our table. I had to ask for wasabi 3 separate times. By the time it got to the table I'd finished 3/4 of my sushi roll already. We'd also spot her standing in the corner chatting with other servers whenever we'd need her. Overall, everything was a 10/10 aside from the service. Our party didn't appreciate her phazing out just because we were auto-gradded. Food: 10/10, Drinks: 10/10, Ambiance10/10. Joey Uptown is beautiful. The decor is fresh and freeing and spacious. However, the flavors of the appetizers and entrees are pretty basic to me. Additionally, the things I actually wanted to try, food AND drink options, were either no longer menu items or they didn't have any left that day. (Which was a bit weird considering we arrived at noon and stayed until 3:00 p.m.) Boooooo. I opted to have the frozen lemonade and the seared salmon sushi. The frozen lemonade tasted as good as you can imagine. It was sweet and refreshing, but nothing out of the ordinary from common chain restaurant. The sushi was an osaka pressed, fire torched salimon with umami sauce, and shaved serrono peppers. It wasn't bad but it's not something I would ever order again. It was a dry taste with really mild flavors so it kind of felt like a waste of money. This is not to say I would never come back again. My first experience with this franchise was in LA and it's clear the H-town location is the place to see and be seen. About a 2 hour wait on a Saturday night -we left and returned and were seated around 9:30-still hopping at this time. I've head all the great things that there is to hear about Joey Uptown. My first time coming was for my birthday back in November because they have a few of my all time favorite things. I feel that it was a little too hyped up for me, and that service-wise and food-wise, that I had had better. The espresso martini was good for me the first go round, but nothing that had me like WOW! And the steak frites was the same. The steak was just ok, and the parm on the fries felt like it was pre-shredded, not fresh, and didn't really add any value to the plate itself. All in all, my first trip here was probably a 3 out of 5. But!!! I came back for Mother's Day. I was a bit hesitant, if I'm being honest, but I am glad that I did! I didn't drink on this day, but I ordered dessert first, the molten cake, which was delictable. The chocolate cake was warm, and the chocolate oozed out and went great with the vanilla ice cream! The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned nicely this go round also, and the fries a lot better (more fresh)! The service was phenomenal. We had an excellent server who took wonderful care of us throughout our whole visit. Recently visited for a friend's birthday. We were immediately greeted with complimentary champagne. Our server Justice was amazing and very attentive. We did have a small hiccup with my steak. I ordered medium, it came out well done. I was really impressed with the way they handled it though. Justice immediately took care of it and told their Manager, Abby. Coming in I feel like you're instantly hit with an upscale dining, yet comfortable feel. The aesthetics of the restaurant are very nice, but it doesn't have the overbearing that some finer dining places may have. While waiting to be seated you're offered complimentary champagne, which is nice. The restaurant is situated at an interesting location, as it's at the Galleria, but not in the Galleria. It's its own building but on the Galleria lot, so you can pull up directly to Joey or walk from inside the mall and be in Joey's in a few steps. Before getting to my food, one of my only complaints was that it was a bit warm in the restaurant. It has large windows that provide a nice view of the area but where we were seated was too warm for my liking. The person I was with had been there before and they recommended the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps and they were really good for a shared appext. It had a nice sweet glaze that complimented the other flavors very well. Overall it had a nice subtle and refreshing taste. I had the Strawberry Cool for a drink, which I believe is essentially a mocktail, and it was cool. For my main dish I had these Steak and Ravioli Blanco. It's also available on the menu under starters and I consider getting it as an appetizer but I'm glad I stuck with it as a main. The dish was really good, and just like everything else I had, it felt lightweight. I would have liked it to have been a bit more decadent but I'm not mad at it. The steak was cooked very well and so was everything else in the dish. I had some of my friend's steak frites meal, and I would possibly say it was more flavorful than what I had, but I enjoyed my meal better. Overall I would say that the food here is very good. Nothing I had made me particularly wowed me where I felt like I just have to come back here but also nothing was bad to make me not want to come back. The whole staff was pleasant and helpful. This is my second visit to JOEY Uptown. On the first visit, I was with family celebrating a birthday. The food was surprisingly good, when I expected a version of upscale bland. Today, I've ordered the Katsu Chicken Salad. For reference, today I'm a party of 1 and starving after having fasted for annual bloodwork. I was seated promptly in the bar area at a relatively quiet bar top table. Upon arrival, I was offered sparkling wine Alana came over to check on me, provided my choice of water and took my order. Food arrived relatively quickly (which was a major win because remember I've been fasting). It was good! Nice solid, fresh salad lots of spice. The only downfall of JOEY is the small European water glasses. We're in Texas. Please bring me a regular people glass of water and let me be great and healthy.
