This was my second time at this place and I have to say for a second time I was very disappointed. The pancakes were just garbage, no fluff to them at all, when you cut into them the fork just pushes through to the plate. I traded them for waffles and this were only slightly better. I've lived about ten minutes from Le Peep for a couple of years now. Based on the reviews, I've stayed away from the restaurant. The day I went, I was not disappointed. I ordered the carrot cake pancakes, chicken and waffles, and the salmon wrap. Everything ordered was delicious. My husband enjoyed his wrap, and I enjoyed my chicken and waffles. Sister ordered the California Turkey, pressed, but because of Mom's avocado allergy, she asked for it to be omitted so that Mom could try. It arrived with avocado, so we had to send it back and wait for a new one, which took another 15, 20 minutes to arrive. (By then, Mom was already full.) I ordered the Corned beef hash Benedict. Was expecting chunky corned beef, so the mushy texture of the hash was a little off-putting. Everyone was hungry though, so we ate quite a bit. Next time, we will just order the pressed California turkey, and I hope the kitchen won't forget to omit the avocado when we specify an allergy to it! For drinks, sister ordered the Chuck Berry, which she and Mom thoroughly enjoyed! I ordered a cappuccino, which took forever to arrive, which made me think someone had to run to a grocery to buy milk, or something. (It took that long!) We may give this place another try, but only because it's just so close to where family lives. I can't believe it took us so long to finally try this place! And apparently they have multiple locations. We love coming here for breakfast. Our favorite menu item is the Blarney Skillet (corned beef hash, green bell peppers, onions, hollandaise sauce, 2 basted eggs, peasant potatoes, and choice of English muffin or toast, $10). I've also enjoyed their Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (comes with 2) but I was not impressed by the California Crepe (turkey, bacon, spinach, mushrooms, Gruyère cheese, topped with avocado slices, served with peasant potatoes, $10). I have mixed feelings about this place. It's hit or miss, depending on what you get. I've went three times and had the following: Vegetable omelet, delicious, the veggies were all fresh. It was served with "peasant" potatoes which sounds like it would be something special but it's just plain cubed potatoes. They were clearly frozen potatoes from a bag because they were super dry and salty. Breakfast burrito but I subbed the chorizo with breakfast sausage. This was delicious! Their salsa was warm which I thought was odd but it was good. The grits on the side was what it is, you need to add salt, pepper and butter because it comes completely plain. Eighteen Wheeler - eggs were a little overcooked so was a bit dry, french toast made with challah bread was too soggy. I love challah bread so I was disappointed that the batter they used drenched and completely masked the point of using something other than white bread for french toast. I didn't like the peasant potatoes from the 1st time i went so I opted for their seasoned waffle fries, definitely better than their "peasant" potatoes but nothing different from buying these fries on the frozen aisle of a grocery store. read more

We have eaten at the other Le Peep at the Arboretum and enjoyed breakfast as well as lunch. Expect a variety of wonderful breakfast amd lunch menu choices here. Prices are reasonable with good portions. Le Peep is a nice addition restaurant for this area. We have had the omelets, sandwiches, salads and soup before and enjoyed it all. Will update more shortly. Service was always friendly. Update: wonderful breakfast today, everything plated nicely, good portions. We were the first early customers and soon after a lot of families with children came in. Eggs were cooked to order , pot of coffee on the table. We only had one incident where food was over cooked, but every other time has been above & beyond. We LOVE LePeep and hope it doesn't get Uber crowded like the other one with massive wait times. Le Peep is a favorite for breakfast for my husband and I. We like the pancake sandwich. It's not really a sandwich. It is two pancakes, an egg and meat option for ten dollars. It's really a good deal. It is not too much food and costs less than another pancake(3) with eggs and meat option that also includes grits and home fries. Their coffee is good. They bring a small carafe in case you need another cup or two quickly. We have also had lunch here as well. Their salads and sandwiches or wraps are very fresh and delicious. We nearly always have terrific servers ( they must train them well), they are usually friendly and attentive. It's a very clean restaurant. The restaurant is super busy most of the time. We try and stay away on weekends because it's so busy, but if we go on a Saturday, we shoot for getting there early. It is worth the wait, if you must. They close early ( 2 pm, I think) only open for breakfast and lunch. Fresh, delicious, clean, good value and good service, what more would you want? read more

Would I prefer that the restaurant have some background music playing? Absolutely. Would I like it if more of their menu items met the caliber of the Blarney? UmmHmm. As long as they continue to do this one dish right, they will forever hold 4 stars in my heart. Today I went to Le Peep to buy a gift card. They told me their machine was down and had been down for sometime now. When I returned home tonight and told my wife about this experience. She proceeded to inform me that she was there over a month and had hoped to use the balance of a gift from our daughter. She said they told her the machine was down. She tried in vain to explain to the manager on duty that the balance left was $8.00+. They told her they could not use it and could not accept her word for the amount. I hardly think she would lie but I do think the fact that their machine has not worked for months now would say they need to trust their customers and get the machine repaired. Like others, am familiar with the Arboretum location and this new location is owned and operated by the same people. It is clean, has a great menu and the service was great. In fact, I think the service better than at the other location. My only negatives are that there are not hash-brown potatoes and that the hard surfaced interior is really cold and sterile. Potatoes: they use the potato chunks that are pan-fried. To me, eating egg dishes is better with smaller cut/shredded potatoes that can soak up the yolk and sauces. The chunks don't do a good job of this. Interior: With the windows and the concrete and open ceiling it "feels" cold. Most people during this lunch occasion still had their jackets on. Good news is that the chairs slide easily and silently on that slick floor. Don't know how actually slippery it may be, but watch out for spills. Service: Many of the staff were working at the Arboretum so are experienced and know the menu. Lisa L. did a great job for us. Menu: If it is on the menu, regardless of the time of day, it is available. Wife does not eat eggs, but likes to go to breakfast. She can order a BLT or some other non-egg dish. Only thing not available until after 10am is soup. Prices: Excellent. Most items are between $8 - 10. Portions are also great. If you order an omelette, you better have brought an hungry friend to help you as they (the omelettes) are HUGE. You pay on your way out.
