This classic diner is located in a strip mall, but don't underestimate them. We came for breakfast on a late Sunday morning. The amazing service started the moment we walked in. The hostess saw us crossing the street with our kids and already had a table ready for us. We have small kids and I was so glad that she sat us in a booth towards the back. The kids were able to be themselves (y'all know what I mean lol) and they didn't bother anyone. They have booster seats and high chairs available for the kiddos. They have a great variety of traditional diner options, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and kids items. I love a classic breakfast so I tried their French toast with scrambled eggs, sausage links, and cinnamon apples. I also got cheesy grits for the kiddos. The food came out pretty quickly and tasted great. Hey Toddler Parents: my kids ATE! No crumbs left!! Each and every staff member was very helpful, friendly, and understanding during our entire visit. I'm very grateful for their kindness. My only recommendation is to add a changing table in the restrooms. If you can't tell, I loved our visit to Park 51. We'll definitely be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We wanted a true diner experience as I wanted to go out for breakfast and it needed to be pretty simple since we had our kids. This place checked all those boxes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was friendly and sat us near the back so the kids could be kids. I got the Mediterranean omelet with home potatoes and a biscuit. Nothing fancy, but good.

This is a Belgian Waffle so good

My service and breakfast was great. Delivery times and food accurately was splendid with taste and great syrup but perhaps ordering more syrup would help other than missing what you have with there's with could be an extra cost.

A friend found this place as we were looking for a restaurant to get food on Sunday that did not have a long wait time. We were able to be seated immediately. I noticed there were not a lot of photos online of the food so I wasn't sure what to order. As the tables around me food came out I knew that we chose a good spot. Being a transplant to the Carolina's my friend recommended I try the liver mush it's a Southern/ North Carolina specialty. I will say although the look of it isn't very appealing it actually taste pretty good. I just ordered a plain waffle with eggs and bacon with a side of liver mush. My friend ordered grits, potatoes and turkey sausage. The inside of the restaurant itself is small. The service was quick. The food came out rather quickly as well.

Stopped by Park 51 Café and had a really good experience! Service: Friendly staff that made the visit comfortable. They were very attentive , which was nice for a casual diner setting. Food: The menu is what you'd expect from a diner, but everything we tried was tasty. The highlight, though, was definitely the fried cheesecake - it was wonderful! For the price, it exceeded expectations. Value: Really good for what you pay. It's not a fancy place, but the quality of the food, especially the desserts, is more than worth it. Overall, Park 51 Café is a solid choice for a casual meal. It's nothing extravagant, but it's a cozy spot with some surprisingly good finds. Will be back for that fried cheesecake!

This place is quaint and cute. It reminds me of NYC a little corner intimate diner, it truly takes you back. It's small but fits groups. The prices are good. Unfortunately I found the food a bit blend. Orange juice is store bought, charged price as if it's fresh....over $3 dollars ? It just doesn't make sense to me. I had the ham and cheese omelette and there wasn't enough cheese, it arrived warm not hot .... Same for my daughters scrambled and bacon. I can't speak for my husband's food only that he remarked he would only come back if he really couldn't get to our favorite near by diners for breakfast... there was no salt on anything which could explain why so many elderlies go there.... Not a judgment only notating as my mom likes places that have healthier foods. The menu is very full and has many options. Maybe they have other menu items that are their specialty and taste better than what we ordered. Pancake also not remarkable. The place is clean and the service of very nice so in this sense I recommend.

Stopped in for breakfast this morning and had an excellent meal. Classic diner food here on the menu, I stuck to the simple stuff and they did a fine job. Mushroom omelet with cheddar cheese. Served with home fries and toast, it was done just right. Plenty of coffee and they have a wifi as well. [Review 9960 overall, 1540 of 2018.]

This lovely café that offers home cooked meals called "Park 51 Cafe" is to die for, it is a dive restaurant right next to black lion off Park Road. We have been coming here weekly now to get our fix of the most delicious Reuben sandwich you will ever find! My kids get their fries with the homemade ranch to dip it in and I end up eating all of it! Park 51 café is now being run by brand new owners therefore it is completely different than the old restaurant that used to be here. It is cozy warm and even has breakfast not to mention the price is right! Park 51 café is for absolutely everyone, families friends children etc.

A couple ahead of us was waiting, another had just added their name to the list, and when we reached the host stand, the host appeared completely overwhelmed. He told us there would be a 25+ minute wait, but didn't take our name--just gave us a look like he didn't want to seat anyone else for the night. To his credit, another employee--clearly juggling multiple roles between serving and bussing--stepped in and got things moving. He checked tables, managed the flow, and ultimately seated the waiting parties, including us. He was polite, professional, and exactly what you expect from someone in hospitality. Once seated, the contrast between staff members became even more obvious. The host wasn't just overwhelmed--his attitude toward the work was the bigger issue. Throughout the evening, we watched him complain openly to coworkers about being asked to bus tables or help with simple tasks. At one point, he spent more time explaining why he shouldn't grab a stack of cups than it would have taken to just do it. Other employees were visibly frustrated, rolling their eyes or simply working around him. We also observed him on multiple occasions heading back into the kitchen empty-handed while there were still plenty of dirty tables on the floor--at least twice that we personally saw. To be fair, he did bus several tables, but he also skipped others that clearly needed attention, creating more work for the rest of the staff. It gave the impression that he was avoiding parts of the job rather than tackling what needed to be done. Later, another employee asked him to assist with clearing several tables. Instead of helping, he began complaining loudly across the dining room. The employee simply said, "Don't worry about it, I'll take care of it," and handled the situation efficiently and professionally. Shortly after, the host retreated to the kitchen where he had a loud meltdown--audible from the dining room--right at closing time. We later learned he was stressed about a homework assignment due that day, which seemed to explain the behavior, but from a guest perspective, it was a poor representation of the restaurant at the front door. That said, every other staff member we encountered was outstanding. Friendly, attentive, and professional across the board. Our server in particular was excellent--engaged, efficient, and on point the entire meal. As for the food, both meals were solid. I ordered a steak medium rare, and while it came out slightly overcooked--closer to medium--it was still a good cut and enjoyable. It was a bit heavy on the seasoning, but easily adjusted by scraping some off. The broccoli was cooked perfectly. My colleague ordered a steak topped with coconut shrimp and was very happy with his meal. Overall, this could have been a great dining experience. The kitchen did a solid job, and the service staff (aside from one) were exactly what you hope for. Unfortunately, the first impression--and much of the atmosphere--was overshadowed by a host who was clearly having a rough night and not handling it well. This feels like a training or management issue more than anything else. With the right guidance, this location has all the pieces in place to deliver a consistently excellent experience.

Even knowing that the restaurant doesn't take reservations, they do offer to call ahead to be placed on the waitlist in advance. The wait time was much longer than expected. Even though the restaurant was busy, our estimated wait time of 45 mins stretched to close to an hour. They told us at one point that our table was ready, but they were not going to seat us yet because they "didn't want to overwhelm the server". Meanwhile, we all sat or stood uncomfortably in the waiting area for an additional 10-15 minutes. I would have been much happier seated at the table waiting with the knowledge that the server may be a bit getting to us. Once seated, the service *still* moved at a slow pace, which added to the frustration of the wait time just to be seated. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, and while the flavor was fine, the portion was a disappointing collection of pieces rather than a full cut of chicken breast. It wasn't bad - just not as satisfying or well‑rounded as I've had at other LongHorn locations. There's potential here, but between the long wait, slow service, and a mediocre entrée, it ended up being an average visit rather than a great one.

It was cold outside, but it was even colder inside the restaurant, to the point where it felt like sitting in a freezer. It honestly made it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. Food-wise, we ordered a variety of items. Some people got pita dishes, others ordered pasta and pizza. One person really liked the eggplant spaghetti, while another didn't care for the sauce, so opinions were mixed. A few people did enjoy their pizzas. I ordered a Greek salad with blackened chicken. I'd rate it about a 5 out of 10, very mid. The salad included cranberries, which was an interesting addition. Not bad, just unexpected. The blackened chicken didn't seem well-seasoned, so it wasn't very impressive overall. On a positive note, the service was good. Our server was friendly and attentive, and I didn't have any issues there. Parking was also plentiful and easy, which is always a plus. Overall, the biggest issue for me was how cold the restaurant was. It was so uncomfortable that it really affected my experience. They have a touch tunes juke box and I wasn't happy that when we would play music on it, the owner would skip through the songs if he didn't like it. I didn't appreciate that as I had paid money to hear the music. At least refund what I paid if you don't want it to play in your restaurant. (To clarify, the music didn't have any bad words. It just didn't fit their Billy Joel and Jimmy Buffet vibe) I am looking forward to going back for $1 wings. You can check their website or app for their daily specials.
