    Buffalo Chicken Wrap

Hit up Mary O'Neill's for a late afternoon lunch and was not disappointed. We decided to try the Shepherd's Pie and the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. The Shepherd's Pie was fantastic. It was filled with beef, peas, carrots and onions throughout with an even distribution and the mashed potatoes were pillowy goodness. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap was also very good. Great flavor. The service was a bit slow even for a late afternoon. Expected a bit more there but otherwise a great experience and recommend stopping by for a bite.

One of the most consistent restaurants we go to for lunch. Over the years we've only had one issue... they didn't have any Iced Tea one day‍ but we survived The waitstaff are always friendly and never miss a step. Also, it's always nice to see the owners on the floor running food and checking on their patrons. I've never been to Ireland but I get the feeling that I'm there when we eat here. I love all the pictures and memorabilia especially the one in the Men's Room.. THE URINALS OF IRELAND

Order take out and the food took long for a simple salad. The salad came with no dressing, burnt chicken tender, and a kids cup charged as a large drink.

We love Mary O'Neil's. We come about once a week. Great food, great beer, great atmosphere. One of our favorite places

First time here. Full bar is nice. Place is packed!

Still my favorite Irish bar and all of Charlotte. Staff is very friendly, food is very good, price is exceptional. Highly recommend. Wish they had more space.

Best place in Waxhaw! Been there since day one. Love the pub atmosphere, the lads are great, the food is consistent and the Guinness is delish!

Great pub! Excellent service with authentic menu options. We have had lunch in the dining area as well as dinner at the bar. Both are great. Fish and chips is a favorite and for good reason. The fish is perfectly battered and crispy. Fries are well seasoned. Tartar sauce is tangy and creamy. Malt vinegar is available as well as ketchup. The special seasoning on the burger is very special. The burger was perfectly cooked to medium as ordered and piping hot. Onion rings are surprisingly awesome. My husband didn't offer to share- and he is usually quick to share. I stole one and it was worth the glare I got! Lots of beverage options including a winter cocktail menu. They also do an excellent job on layered drafts. Our favorite is the snakebite - guiness and cider. Smithwicks on draft, also a great choice. Staff is friendly and quick to clear tables and plates. Even when it's very busy, waiting patrons are not waiting very long.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a Monday. Hostess sat us immediately (it was quiet as expected) and our server was very nice, attentive and friendly. They have a full bar (w/ Guinness of course) and some microbrews available. The restaurant had some nice Irish music playing and sports channel playing on the bar TV. We sat and were given ice cold water in a vintage milk bottle (loved it). It was blistering hot and humid so it was a nice touch. Shepards pie and Rueben with a side of fries and coleslaw was delivered fast and fresh. The pie was delicious and a perfect proportion. It had beef/lamb in a nice thick sauce with peas and carrot topped with the smoothest perfectly mashed potatoes. The rueben was tender, moist and very large in size. The fries were nothing special. Then again, they were just fries. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp but could have used a bit more seasoning. We order chocolate ice cream for dessert that is sourced from the local creamery and was absolutely delicious. Seriously, I would gladly drive the 15 miles to get that ice cream again. All in all a great experience.

Food was good with limited options. Service was outstanding. The place was really noisy, making it difficult to carry on a conversation.

Corporate 86'ed it. It truly was the best we have had. I ordered their formerly wonderful sausage gravy over two biscuits, with two fried eggs to order ($13). I usually get it over rye toast, so the biscuits were not what I was used to. The gravy was very thick and did not have any flow to it. Too much "bread" to not enough gravy. And the flavor was "off". What a shame as that, too, had been a highlight menu item. Will give it another shot on another visit. Wife, who does not eat eggs, ordered her favorite the Left Coast BLT with pesto pasta salad ($15). Somehow, she did not like something with it. To be later investigated. This was a weekday breakfast, as we avoid the mob scene crowds of the weekends. But, there was only one waitress with the hostess helping shuttle prepared dishes from kitchen to table. Our wait to order was very long. Come on, guys...you can and have done better. Tighten it up, please.

The young girl helping us out was welcoming and friendly. The ambiance here id relaxed and casual. Our server greeted us and took our oder for drinks. Drinks were served and our order was taken for breakfast. DRINKS Cinnamon roll latte Serving size was generous and pleasing to the eye. It was topped with thick whip cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. Latte was ok, it was lacking on cinnamon roll taste. House Coffee Would have preferred it a bit hotter. FOOD EIGHTEEN WHEELER $13.50 Two slices of our challah bread French toast, two eggs, and a choice of two strips of bacon or two sausage links. Served with Peasant Potatoes or Grits LUMBERJACK BREAKFAST $13.50 Two plain handspun pancakes, two eggs, and a Choice of two strips of bacon or two sausage links. Served with Peasant Potatoes or Grits. (Make it flavored pancakes). Eggs were ok, a bit runny on the whites for my liking. Bacon was ok. Potatoes needed some seasoning, they were just ok. Pancakes just ok, not sure whether handspun means. FRENCH TOAST $9.50 Our challah bread dipped in a rich custard batter, grilled to golden perfection and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Served with your choice of Mom's Sassy Apples, blueberry sauce, or strawberry sauce Try it Crunchy French toast was ok, a bit undercooked in the middle. Added fresh strawberries and blueberries, however, they were out of blueberries. CHICKEN AND WAFFLES $14.00 Belgian waffles topped with crispy chicken tenders sprinkled with powdered sugar and a drizzle of sriracha honey sauce. Waffles were a bit undercooked in the middle.
