It has been a while since our last visit. Definitely changes. First, definitely not the A-Team in the kitchen today. Food was good, not great. Forgot the white powdered sugar on the sweet potato fries and the rest was OK but uninspired. Service, however, was five star. Very very professional and very personal. The restaurant itself definitely was a bit different. Some of the display screens were removed from the wall. They were very entertaining, miss them. First visit for my husband and I. Had it on my list of places to try so I seized the opportunity. I had the Hen Pen. All was pretty good. I ate as much as I could. The portions are pretty good which makes for great leftovers. My husband chose a dish that came with pancakes. He was not fond of the pancakes. But he did enjoy the rest of his meal. Just a reminder to self that if I order the Lobster Scramble not to get a side of hashbrowns. The service is great, atmosphere is nice, but I found the food to be just average. I wouldn't run out of my way to go here, but it is a solid option for meeting friends. I got the lobster scramble and like I wrote, the hashbrowns were pretty bad. I switched out my breakfast potatoes for them and next time shouldn't do that. The english muffins had a ton of butter (which I like). The lobster scramble itself was fine, I've never had bad eggs before. They close at 2 p.m., so it's a great option if you need to make sure you go back to work. The "sausage" gravy had zero sausage nor the flavor of it anywhere in it. It tasted like water and flour. The waitress I had was subpar as well... I wish I knew her name, she basically dropped off the food and we didn't see her again until my friend got up to get a water refill. I had to ask for syrup for the French toast from a busboy. She never asked us about how the food was or if she could get us anything. I feel like the restaurant has great ideas especially with the menu items but the execution is horrible. Tried Le Peep for the first time with a friend. Between the two of us we ordered regular and blueberry pancakes, grits with and without cheese, bacon, eggs and a fruit bowl. Food was good but personally the cheese grits lacked flavor. I tried sprucing up myself but did not help much. My friend enjoyed her meal with no complaints. Our waiter was very attentive and didn't mind us sitting at our table catching up on each other's lives for an additional hour or two! It has an open feel that feels newer but still feels homey and comforting. The service is excellent. Our waiter today played along with my husband and mother-in-law's jokes, which is always a plus! The food is always so good. Never been disappointed. I've gotten the chicken fried steak through delivery, which was very good. Today, I tried their eggs benedict, which was delicious. Everyone in my family was highly satisfied with their meals, and I've got some hard-to-please people in my family. Not sure what's changed, but food quality (taste, temp, ingredients, etc.) has been degrading while the prices continue to rise. There is little-to-no sound deadening (acoustical or other) material and the chairs all make ear-piercing sounds when moved. I even checked with my phone (how reliable?) and the decibels were 90+ at almost all times - too loud for a regular conversation to be carried on[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Staff/Service: Pleasant, but overworked or short-handed. The past 3 visits had us eating in shifts as food was incorrect, forgotten, or had to be redone for temperature, etc. Summary: A nice place to meet for breakfast if you like noisy environments and gambling on quality and service. For a mulit-state chain restaurant, I'd expect more intervention and support from the "home office" to ensure success of the business and repeat customers. Le Peep is a much a welcoming brunch restaurant. Im more of a coffee for breakfast type, but don't mind enjoying a good breakfast every now and then. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was refreshing. I love that they serve Lavazza coffee, most breakfast joints usually serve watered down coffee, this is not one of them. My Smoked Salmon Bagel was very good. Could've use a little more cream cheese, Salmon was fresh and tasty. Solid first impression, look forward to trying them again in the near future. read more

Why 4 stars? Because we enjoyed our breakfast and I'd happily return again. --- --- --- I noticed Le Peep's reviews popping up for a few weeks now and put it on my short list to check out. From my e-stalking, I got the vibe that it was a chain, despite the fact that I'd never heard of it. It turns out, they started in Colorado and have quite a few locations, but this is the first one in Florida. My wife loves chicken fried steak so much that there was no need for her to even see a menu. She knew that's what she was getting from the moment we saw the menu online. And I thought it was a very delicious rendition. I also couldn't help but order the churro french toast because I love both of those things and couldn't imagine combining them into one dish would work out poorly. They were enjoyable. And somehow my photo never ended up taking of my own dish, but I ordered the Country Benedict and thought it was really solid. It was not a traditional benedict, as the english muffins were off to the side. Eggs, ham, onions and hash browns were topped with some of the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had. I could definitely eat this on a regular basis! The only negative part of our experience was that we ordered a couple of drinks when we arrived, but they didn't come until the very end of the meal. We had to ask another employee walking by, which prompted our server to come out a couple of minutes later with what we ordered. This happens and it's totally understandable. But I was a bit put off by the fact that she didn't even apologize for waiting until we had two bites left of food before providing our drinks. It's just an odd thing to make that kind of mistake and say nothing about it. I wanted to like Le Peep, especially because you can't have too many local breakfast/brunch spots, but I did not enjoy my meal there. The atmosphere is nice and clean, the staff is friendly although not fully trained, and the price is reasonable for breakfast/lunch food. I had some issues with the menu and communicating with our server. The menu had a few spelling errors and typos. I wanted to make my own omelette but it was unclear how many ingredients I could add before there was a surcharge. I asked the server, and she said the ingredients were unlimited. When I asked what the surcharge was for, she looked at the menu and said, I guess there is a charge, but failed to explain further or ask for clarification from someone else. In the end, I ordered a Spinnaker Omelette. This omelette is made with egg whites and filled with spinach, mushrooms, crisp bacon and blended cheese. I asked for hasbrowns instead of the home fries that it came with, but I received both potato sides anyway. My hasbrowns came burnt and dry, instead of extra crispy as I had asked for. My friend and I shared the pancake of the month, which was a stack of two fluffy pancakes drizzled with raspberry sauce and topped with nuts, raspberries and white chocolate chips. The pancakes were my favorite part of the meal, so be sure to ask your server what the pancake of the month is when you're looking through the menu. While I don't think Le Peep is a terrible restaurant, I doubt that I'll choose to go back anytime soon. When there are other breakfast restaurants available in the area, local and chains alike, I prefer their established menus and dining experiences over what was offered at Le Peep. read more

What a great addition to the Oldsmar area! LePeep is a stand out! My guys and I went there the other day for brunch, and what we saw and experienced made sure that we will be repeat visitors. It's covid season, every person needs to wear a mask, every table is equipped with hand sanitizer, the menus are disposable, the staff keeps social distance from your table and they also wear a mask. The menu was nicely laid out, it's the first eatery ice seen to offer breakfast appetizers. The churro french toast sounded amazing. Each of us opted for something different. There was an eggs benedict, a Spicy Hamburger and finally the avocado toast. Each entree was about $10.00, give or take. The serving sizes were large but not grandiose, I was full but not stuffed. Each plate came with "something extra" wether it was spiced apples, fruit salad or a jalapeno pepper. You most definitely got value for your money spent. read more

With the sounds of Rush's "Workin Man" softly blaring in the background, I wandered in to a spacious little breakfast spot on the edge of the Hillsborough County/Oldsmar border called LePeep. Appropriate because I was between meetings for work. I was quickly seated by a gentleman host and then promptly waited on by one of the friendliest waitresses that I have ever had at any restaurant. I ordered a caramel cold brew that could easily beat any trendy corporate coffee spot. There were so many items on the menu that I wanted to eat, but I settled on the Homestead Breakfast that were two freshly baked biscuits with home style sausage gravy and sprinkling of paprika, served with two eggs and a layer of peasant potatoes. I chose my eggs to be cooked over easy and they were perfect! The service was much quicker than I expected. With plenty of tables outside, I was able to enjoy a nice cool Florida morning while I finish ripping through my work emails.
