Cut to the Chase: Pros: 1) Smoothies were fresh, and not that artificial stuff 2) Location is perfect, with great ambiance and decor 3) Has outdoor seating Cons: 1) Waited an hour and 15 min for 2 chicken n waffles and 1 waffle w/ fruit 2) When we asked when we might expect the food, 2 waiters said they mistakenly put the ticket in twice...I don't get that cuz you'd think if they entered twice it would come sooner? 3) While the waiters apologized the manager didn't and said chicken waffles take 6 min each and 6 tables inside ahead of us...why is that our fault? Math isn't hard but unless you have only 1 waffle machine 3x6 = 18 min NOT 95! 4) When the food finally arrived they only brought 2 forks when there were 3 of us...so sat there waiting to eat 5) Our waters had ash or black stuff in them, which we didn't bother complaining since at that point we just wanted to eat and get away Overall such high potential, but absolutely poor service read more

I saw this cafe on TikTok and the TikTok did not do this place justice. It looked nice on video but even better in person. I liked the ambiance, the garden was absolutely beautiful and surprisingly cool. I love the little details that went into their decorations. The waitstaff was super friendly, personal, and attentive. They said my friend and I were welcome to come back (even though it was a 3 hour commute for me). They also close for an hour between their brunch and dinner but let my friend and I stay and chat :). We only got drinks and I was pleasantly surprised, better than Manhattan prices for sure! I glanced at their food menu and they have a lot of options! Love love love! The huevos rancheros and mocha hot latte were delicious. The pancakes with banana and pecans are so good! You can make at least 10 different combinations with the toppings offered. You step into wonderland after you pass the bakery up front. It's so warm and welcoming. I immediately said I would be coming back that's how inviting it is. The staff is so friendly & fast. I love their food, however the chefs are a bit inconsistent with their cooking methods. And when asking them for specific request they tend not to listen. The waiters and waitresses are always welcoming but don't always speak too much english, their staff come and go with each season. However, the owners are relatively nice, the restaurant, is always very beautiful and clean. If youre looking for a nice American meal this place is where its at. This spot was so so cute. From the minute we walked up. The outside is decorated so nice with plenty of outdoor seating. We were in the private room for a bridal shower and it was adorable. It had so much great detail already before decorations. The service was very accommodating and friendly our entire 4 hours. She constantly was refilling our waters and mimosas. They put out scones , croissants, muffins and fresh fruit which I loved. The lunch we had was great and had a lot of flavor. Bathroom was extremely clean and they even had a bar at the back of the room if you needed anything else. The other side of the restaurant looked very unique and interesting. Turns out it's always terrible service with staff who have no clue what's going on. Service is horrible. Expect to wait over an hour and half after ordering, if they remember you even ordered. The outdoor dining set up makes you feel like your at a Parisienne cafe and the decor continues inside as well with painted ceilings and a beautiful large back garden/dining room. This is the perfect brunch spot! There's eggs pancakes waffles sandwiches and more. Truly something for everyone. I ordered the shrimp omelette with avocado onions and cheese. Really good! Never had shrimp in an omelette before! We also got a short stack of banana walnut pancakes. The pancakes were so big it made our short stack seem like a full stack. This is one of my favorite restaurants ever - simply because of the ambiance and decor. You can tell there was a lot of thought put into this place even down to the smallest details. The food, while not showstopping, is solid and reliable. I mostly come here for the ambiance and when I want a good meal that I don't feel like cooking myself. They have many options to choose from so there is something that everyone will like. I've tried many dishes and they've all been good. Sometimes taste can be a little bland, but never terrible. Nothing some salt, pepper and butter can't fix. Breakfast is great and I love that they give you the option to have home fries or greens along with the toast. Service is OK - definitely on the slow side. Cash only. 4 stars because I wish they had a little more of an alcohol selection. Also, the owners brother is very....intimidating. On one occasion, I asked him if they had a to go menu and he literally yelled at me "hold on I'm busy!!" - ok fine not a problem. In addition, I've witnessed him yelling at and berating other employees numerous times and he doesn't even try to hide it. I've heard arguments right in the middle of the dining room area. This makes things uncomfortable while you're dining out and almost makes you not want to patronize someone who comes off as such a jerk to his staff. From reading other reviews, I can see I'm not the only one whos noticed his outbursts. Nevertheless, I will continue to come here because I love the place and the past few times I've been here, he has been pleasant lol. read more

This is my 2nd time here. Food overall is good except the burger was dry. The cornflake chicken & waffle is ! Both times I would have to say service is ehhh.. they can improve. First time here it took forever for the waitress to give us water and utensils. 2nd time here we asked for the check 3x. They are just a bit slow. They can improve and do better on that part. The only thing that's getting this place a 4 star review is the decor which is absolutely gorgeous and the eggs benedict with the home fries. The pancakes did not taste like pumpkin AT ALL. Waste of money. Lemonade was fresh but no matter how much I stirred it, I kept getting full particles of sugar, not pleasant at all. It's like they added a bunch of sugar to cold lemonade and it just wasn't dissolving. Eggs benedict were really great. English muffin was nicely toasted, eggs were perfectly poached and hollandaise was flavorful. The potatoes it was served with were SO yummy. Stopped by with a friend for an early dinner late lunch and I can't say it was that good of an experience. The decor of the place is very nice, they obviously put a lot of effort in it. There is an outdoor area in the front a cozy indoor area and an amazing garden/backyard with its own fountain! The service left much more to be desired.. Just wished they put the same effort into it as they did with the decor. We arrived not long passed 5pm and it took quite some time to get seated. They had 1 waiter for an outdoor area, indoor area and garden/backyard area. That just doesn't cut it. Though our server tried, I didn't think he would be able to provide good service while juggling 5-6 tables across the entire restaurant and outdoor seating. The food was alright. We ordered the Meatballs Appetizer and Caprese Salad to start, and for our mains my friend had the Braised Beef Short Rib and I had the Duck Confit. Meatballs were alright, they were a nice size and tasted fresh, the Caprese Salad was also not bad either, served with a side of peppers and artichoke hearts. Personally a tad under seasoned. The mains were amazing! The Short rib was a very nice portion and the Duck was better than I expected. Definitely would really think hard about coming back, the food and the decor are quite nice but the service really needs improvement. read more

I cooed with delight at the waterfall on the gorgeous patio in the back. 2. I ordered a shrimp caesar wrap. 3. I asked for the mixed greens instead of fries and let the waitress know that fries go straight to my hips. And I liked all of these things. Except the scooter ride. Heard Buttermilk Alley was good but the wait was an hour so we went spelunking. About two blocks away we ran across the little French bistro Le Petit Café and gave it a try...glad we did. The reviews here seem bipolar - some people love it and others hate it...put us in the love it column. We sat in the back section which is a little garden spot with sort of a tent thing over your heads to keep out the sun and rain...on a nice day such as we had it was delightful. We were there for breakfast and had mostly egg and pancake stuff, all of which were done nicely. Especially liked the breakfast potato...not too much herb. One at our table did strike out on his own - had the salmon burger and couldn't rave about it enough...it was served with a watercress and miso dressing and was very nice. Service was right on...attentive and anticipatory. Coffee was good too. Next time we'll just head here first. read more

We came here after the 45 minute wait at buttermilk channel. I think this places gets over flow from other brunch spots. The highlight is the back area which is truly wonderful and relaxing. As others have mentioned there is room for improvement in the service area. We had brunch: Pumpkin pancakes - very dry and disappointing. I ve never been here before but my girlfriend have and she gave me few choices to do a sunday brunch. Judging by the lovely pictures, nice ambient I picked this place. We arrived and walked in and there was nobody to greet you to begin with. So we walked towards back and grabbed the waiter and asked a table for two as we are looking around, they were relatively busy but not packed, plenty empty tables for two and at least two-three empty tables for four. Waiter response was kind an odd and he was almost hesitant with his response saying we can only seat up front on street side where few chairs for coffee drinkers I guess. He was a nice teenager. He offered to ask to the manger and came back with same answer. As we were very surprised why we denied sitting I felt like I had to ask the manager myself and as we were getting ready to leave he was coming up front from the back of the counter and I asked, why we can not be seated while there were few empty tables. He was the rudest manager I have ever seen. He could have told me anything nicely and would be the end of it. He could have sad those tables ate reserved or something like that. Instead he choses to be very rude and says, did you ask him referring the waiter, and I said yes but and again before even I had a chance to continue talking, with a very rude attitude and angry voice like he is talking to a child to discipline him, he says what did he tell you! My girlfriend literally pulled me out so we left. What a way of running a place what an attitude! As a previous restaurant manager Dumbo brooklyn myself, I know a thing or two and I have to say, this person has no place in restaurant business. I don't care how beautiful is the place without a welcoming management and smiling faces you should not be doing what you doing. Shame on you mr.! read more

Okay, now that I got that out of the way, this cute cafe is a surprise once you go past the entrance. There's a few small tables in the front area next to the display case of pastries, but if you go further down the hall, the place opens up into an indoor garden with two different rooms to sit in. You can find pictures of what it looks like from other people, but it is very charming to find in the middle of an urban jungle. Though it was a Monday morning, there were a handful of other patrons dining while I was there. No wait at all and there were plenty of seats. This cafe is somewhere to have brunch with friends rather than bring your laptop to do work, but there were other parties doing business while I was there. I opted for the delectable pumpkin pancakes. You can choose from short stack or regular, but from my understanding, "short stack" just meant the size of the pancake was smaller (not that there were less). Still a great deal with fresh fruit. I was momentarily confused about the maple syrup since they were in refillable squeeze bottles (so it looked like an actual sauce than syrup), but each table has all the condiments you'll need for a nice breakfast. I didn't finish all 3 pancakes, but they were delicious. I think I'll try to make some at home since pumpkin is a nice touch to the regular buttermilk pancake. Great spot to hit up before heading out to the airport. Light enough meal and not too crowded at all. Just remember to bring cash! read more
