Luckily I found this place through yelp. The owner Jack is very friendly and proud of where he gets his grits down south. The food here is delicious and the pulled pork sandwich was really tasty. There are Asian influences in some of the southern dishes just as adding mushrooms in the grits which everyone should get. There is a nice little bar and outdoor seating here. Their bakery is next door and I think I checked in at the wrong establishment but this is where I had brunch..... Solid brunch/lunch spot in Clinton Hill. I very much enjoyed my first time experience here thanks to my friend's recommendation. Choice Market is a very quaint, chill spot with lots of great menu choices and friendly staff. My order was the 3 egg omelet with any 3 fillings from a list (I chose spinach, mushrooms and Swiss). It was accompanied by home fries and seven grain toast. My friend chose Avo toast with a side of Turkey Bacon. As far as brunch beverages, we tried the Venetian Spritz which was very similar to Aperol. It was made with an alcohol I'm unfamiliar with--Cappellitti. Very similar to Aperol. I also ordered a Hibiscus iced tea. BTW, their prices are soooo reasonable. When the food arrived, I immediately noticed the generous portions. My omelet was absolutely delicious. One of the best I've had in a while. First off I'm am upset with myself for not getting everyone's name. When you have a bad experience you make sure you get them but, I guess I was having such a good time I forgot! First off let's take about the setting it was warm and inviting. The walls were exposed painted brick and dark lovely. There were plants about. Booths looked comfy but, we opted for the bar. A great four seat intimate space. There were two of us and two people already seated. The joy began about 5 min into my drink when a server decided to put on the Queen , that's Beyoncé in case you left not up on it. Lol We didn't even know the cute couple next to us but, we had a sing off during the meals. The food was outstanding I had the steak and eggs, so happy I was starving cause it was a huge plate. Generally I like this spot but warning do NOT order the "Turkey Club". It's soggy, hot, and not very good for a $16 sandwich. I was disappointed since it's listed under the "panini" section so I specifically asked if it was a sandwich or a panini and was told it was a sandwich. What came was a hot turkey club with soggy toasted bread, turkey and soggy bacon that was waaaay too thick (not thin & crispy like a traditional club), plus since it was HOT, the lettuce and tomato also got soggy and the aioli melted. Overall poorly executed and frankly the flavors have potential. Since I specifically asked what it was at the register it would've been better that I was informed that it was a "hot sandwich." Otherwise it's misleading. Make the sandwich cold, use thin bacon and turkey and that will fix this literal hot mess!!! read more

A neighborhood jewel! So many new coffee shops have sprung up as Brooklyn has gentrified over the years, but this is the one. Everyone standing in line at Otway is getting played. They have an incredibly extensive menu for such a small kitchen. Breakfast sandos are amazing, all the baked goods (the classics!) are perfection, and their newish restaurant next door is the coziest spot for brunch. Great vibes and huge portions. The takeaway window is also *chef's kiss*! This little corner is like if Mary Poppins' bag was a French Café. They do the most with so much chill and put the Starbucks across the street to shame. What a lovely atmosphere/ vibe! Excellent customer service - as soon as you enter, you are greeted by friendly staff with smiles! I ordered the pancakes, my friends ordered the choice burger & salmon burger - the portions were massive and it was very affordable, amazingly delicious!!! We devoured the food in minutes. Not sure what kind of sauce was served on the burgers but OMG, it was soo tasty!!! We ended with some desserts and again the perfect balance of crisp, sweetness & savory. i'm back on my yelp grind to announce my displeasure with nyc burritos. 1. too soft. no crunch! this can be fixed with some tater tot's or more bacon. 2. the only crunch in there was the stem of the romaine lettuce included - weird! made it feel like a salad wrap! a breakfast burrito is not the place for this. use only the leaves of the lettuce or another green, like spinach. this would fit much better in a breakfast burrito. 3. was leaking all over because most ingredients were so soft instead of having anything to balance it out and absorb the juice 4. needed more bacon SCARLETT KLEIN WOULD HATE THIS BURRITO in conclusion, i do appreciate grilling the outside and also appreciate the service here and the pancakes were awesome i had some of lily's. I live around the corner and this is now my favorite breakfast / brunch place in the area! It has an array of fantastic brunch options and the most vegetarian breakfast foods in the area. (Guevara's down the block has the most vegan breakfast options, and they're great. But if you love cheese and butter like me, Choice is the way to go) My all time fave is the Croque Vegetables. Also the music playing is seriously fire. There has yet to be a time that I've gone to Choice and not Shazammed at least one song. Drop the playlist choice!!! read more

I visited choice market bar and restaurant for brunch on a normal weekday, together with wife and kids. Amazingly nice and warm atmosphere, and the food was delicious and generous servings. Service was great. Definately a place to visit again. A small tip for future guests: there is more space for indoor seating than the pictures indicate (as of october 2022). read more
