Food was amazing as always and our server Austin was very friendly and helpful. By far my favorite Le Petit I've been to in Jacksonville.

However, it was a busy Friday night and we were not in a rush. Everyone loved their drink choices, and we enjoyed the fresh bread brought to the table with the salted butter. Getting our order in did take longer than expected, but I think the vibe of the restaurant is to enjoy yourself and your company. All of us got an appetizer and they split the escargot for my husband and I; I thought that was a really nice touch. The banana bread martini was incredible; dessert in a glass. I got the beef tenderloin. My favorite part was the potatoes; they were so unique and delicious. The beef was good as well. My husband enjoyed the duck breast. We ended the night with the blubbery soufflé. Absolutely incredible. Every staff member was wonderful and personable. They make you feel like royalty while dining. A very special evening.

Paulo was so fun & professional that made our night lovely. He obviously lives the restaurant, the food here which he had tasted a lot of to describe it and his job. We had the fois gras, carpaccio and octopus appetizers. All great. The octopus was SO tender. The cheese coarse was yummy although I preferred the bread over the flatbread. Nice touches like homemade jam & honeycomb. Our entrees were the filet and two of the fish specials. Fresh! The potatoes for two of the plates were done in their own unique way. We let Paulo chose our wines and he did a great match for each entree

(This is exciting for someone who is all this stressed out about parking, lol) We made reservations the morning of the branch and we were able to be accommodated. We were promptly seated when we arrived. Our server, Nina, was polite, attentive and patient with all our questions. She even gave us advice when we asked about some local areas to go check out after the meal. We sat indoors, though they were available outdoor options for seating. The decor was well done and seems pretty classy. The food was fantastic! We tried the deviled eggs, raw oysters with datil hot sauce, and escargot. I tried one of the off menu omelette selections, which was expertly made. We also tried the bouillabaisse and Branzino. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also tried the lavender crème brûlée, pot de creme and Paris -Brest. We thoroughly enjoyed those desserts! I will highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion. The quality of the food was excellent, and as such, I will return.

We had heard and read a lot of good things so we decided to give La Nouvelle a try. Very quaint and well appointed dining area - bistro vibes. They have a wrap around outside patio as well as part of their dining area but it's June in Florida so we made reservations for inside to not take any chances. The menu isn't huge, so check it out before deciding to dine here as I believe it can change regularly. My French onion soup was fantastic. If you don't order the petite baguettes, you're doing yourself a disservice. This is probably a top 3 bread experience for me. Crusty airy perfection. I went with the duck confit as I don't have many opportunities to order such a dish with the places we dine. The execution was solid - crispy and tender, flavorful, and accompanied by duck fat potatoes and red wine braised grapes. Extensive wine options along with beer but no liquor license. Our server Jessie was friendly and attentive while not overbearing.

This will be a longer review, but hopefully helpful for those that share our passion and want to get an idea of the impeccable dining experience we received! Cuisine, beverage, service and ambiance were all beautifully represented in a tour de force Bordeaux wine dinner at JJ's Liberty Bistro in Ponte Vedra this last Saturday. Each course was one foodie thrill after another! On the heels of an exquisite Valentine's Day meal (reviewed on this site), we jumped at the opportunity to experience Chef Oscar Perez' masterful creations expertly paired with wines from the beautiful Château Lagrange. For wine enthusiasts, this is a historic French Third Growth Bordeaux estate in the Saint-Julien appellation, known for its powerful, complex red wines made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Taking an already-elevated dining experience to another level, owner JJ brought Château Lagrange's General Manager and Winemaker Matthieu Bordes along with US Manager Marie Gabriele and Importer Patrick Leveque to thoughtfully discuss each pairing from wine composition, regional history, vine age, crop yields, flavor profile, and so much more. My wife and I were fortunate to sit alongside them as we dined, talking about their passion for crafting amazing product, sharing their extensive knowledge, and exhibiting immense patience as I attempted to recall my French vocabulary! They were warm, generous and delightful company who we look forward to seeing again when next they return to JJ's. As is a hallmark of dining at JJ's, the service was elegant and fluid, timed with precision like a beautiful dance. We began with Stuffed Mussels w/Crepinette, paired with a white 2022 Les Arums De Lagrange. The white wine served as not only a palate cleanser, but also gave gorgeous floral and buttery notes that balanced the mussels perfectly. Next came a light Sheepshead Bordelaise, SO tender and sauced expertly to ensure each flavor could be tasted rather than overwhelming the palate with one versus another (wonderfully paired with a 2016 Haut Medoc De Lagrange). Pictured below, you can see how beautiful the plating was, as with all dishes that evening. One of two favorites on the night...impossible to choose...was the Squab two ways (pigeon, akin to duck), served with Dutchess potato. Rich and decadent, this was a gorgeous pairing with the Merlot-dominant 2017 Les Fiefs De Lagrange. I'll be thinking about this dish for a long, long time! Lamb Loin is a perennial favorite, perfectly cooked and sauced, accompanied by the most delicious mushroom soufflé we'd ever tasted. The flavors melded together seamlessly, enhanced further by each sip of the bold, fruit forward 2018 Chateau Lagrange St Julien. The Cabernet-dominant blend was magnificent, age worthy but very approachable now - we took home a winemaker signed bottle! Finally, we came to a very special dessert not often found outside of the France, Caneles de Bordeaux. It has a dense texture with a slight crisp exterior, and was created to use the yellow of the egg; in the past, the whites were used to filter the wines. Delectable and unique, capping off a truly memorable event! We were thrilled to learn that JJ hosts these amazing dinners monthly, so I've included a picture of the upcoming schedule. They have a tendency to sell out (as with the dinner we attended), so recommend calling the number below and booking early! If anyone would like to experience something truly special and intimate, where the outside world melts away and you can truly indulge your senses, this checks all of the boxes and places itself among the finest beginning-to-end dining experiences available to the public. Salut, et bon appetite!! JJ's Liberty Bistro 330 A1A N #209, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082 (904) 273-7980

I am happy to say we had a great first experience. Very personalized service, from help with our wine selection to a detailed description of the menu items and specials. Our wine, a Petite Chablis was excellent and went extremely well with my bouillabaisse and my husband's French Onion Soup and salad! We had decaf espresso's and split a coconut macron (highly recommend!) and a coffee meringue (delightful) for dessert. We were checked on often by our server and JJ the owner stopped by multiple times. After we finished lunch JJ helped us with recommendations on a few French wines we wanted to try! We signed up for a Burgundy Dinner at the end of the month, so I know we will be back soon! I highly recommend JJ's Bistro! 5 stars!

My server was attentive, knowledgeable, and seemed to have the perfect balance of checking in when needed while still giving me plenty of space to relax and enjoy my meal. The Eggs à la Orsay were a creative and elevated take on Eggs Benedict, featuring black truffles that added a rich, luxurious flavor without overpowering the dish. Paired with a mimosa, it made for a fantastic brunch experience. The real showstopper was dessert. The Black Forest Silk Pie, topped with toasted meringue, raspberry, and Bing cherries, was absolutely delicious--decadent yet beautifully balanced. My server also recommended a glass of cava to accompany it, and the bubbles were the perfect complement. Great food, outstanding service, and thoughtful recommendations made this a memorable brunch. A beautifully seared piece of chicken with crispy, golden skin, plated over what looked like creamy mashed potatoes, surrounded by a rich, glossy sauce. The chicken was juicy with that perfect crisp on the outside, and the sauce tied everything together in a way that felt indulgent but balanced. The ambiance, service, and quality of food make it feel like a true experience every time. Orsay really nails that refined, French-inspired dining vibe: elegant, rich, and consistently memorable.

You have to order inside and then head to a table with your number and the servers will bring it to you. With a party of 5, our food came out in good time and we got an array of items-- from a breakfast croissant sandwich to little pastries, everything was wonderful. Most of us ended up trying their seasonal matcha drink which was a linzer matcha that came with black cherry and a pistachio cold foam. It has a specific taste but I liked it a lot! It's not a mix of flavors I'd normally think of but I ended up finishing my drink which I don't always do, even with matcha drinks. The croissants & bread were fresh and each dish was beautifully plated. I love a dish that both looks good and tastes good and it delivered both. The outdoor patio is covered and a great spot to enjoy your meal if the weather is beautiful and breezy which is was the day we dined here. The inside is also such a cute vibe. Such a great spot and will definitely be back if I'm in the area!
