[[HIGHLIGHT]]Beautiful decor with a lot of smaller cozy table nooks. One circular private room that looked fabulous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was so attentive with management stopping by to check on us. Paulo was so fun & professional that made our night lovely. He obviously lives the restaurant, the food here which he had tasted a lot of to describe it and his job. We had the fois gras, carpaccio and octopus appetizers. All great. The octopus was SO tender. The cheese coarse was yummy although I preferred the bread over the flatbread. Nice touches like homemade jam & honeycomb. Our entrees were the filet and two of the fish specials. Fresh! The potatoes for two of the plates were done in their own unique way. We let Paulo chose our wines and he did a great match for each entree

This place is truly one of those fine dining experiences you don't get often, like only for special occasions. Pro tip: if you're going for dinner, the reserved parking is only there until 5, then you can park anywhere. To start with the food we ordered the escargot, beef carpaccio, and tuna tartare. And they were absolutely scrumptious! All of it. I would have to say my favorite was the tuna. They give you crunchy chips to put the tuna on, and they refill if you run out. It's definitely a must order. However, I would say that if you're going with a larger group of people, the beef carpaccio would be a bit harder to share just due to the nature of it and the egg on top. It's hard to share a runny egg. The escargot as expected takes the favor of whatever it's cooked with and the mushroom was heavily showcased in this dish. It's very creamy too, similar to a cream of mushroom soup. They also come with complimentary bread. It's a bit on the salty side for my liking, but it was very flavorful. As for the main fish I got the beef tenderloin with an extra fois gras. I know it's not necessarily the most ethical food, but it was my first time trying it. It wasn't as overly heavy as I thought it would be. It was simply a liver. The potatoes were very well season with a lot of garlic, but like the bread, I think they tend to over salt the carbohydrates, as commented on my someone at my table who ordered a pasta. I'm not sure if it was the choice of the cut of beef, but it was very stringy and caught in my teeth. It tasted fine, but I can't say I was able to finish it, so I decided to take it home and make it into a stew instead. Personally, I think it would be better off stewed than served alone, but it could be because I have the taste buds of a child, which would be a fair assessment. The service was wonderful, as you would expect for a restaurant like this. The water was always topped off. We ordered a wine and they would come by periodically to also top off glasses. It was a wonderful experience. If you're a bit confused or indecisive about wines, they have a sommelier on staff that is here to help you make that decision. My only comment is that this is a place that you would need to get an appetizer, since the food takes such a long time. But, hey, it's fresh! They did mess up one of the ordered and my friend got a complimentary salad so she didn't have to just watch all of us eat awkwardly, so that was kind of them. Overall, no comments. Finally, since we were a group of 9, there is this small circular space before the main dining space meant to accommodate reservations for larger parties. It has a cool echoing effect for the music that piped in and painted a very deep sensual purple. I'm a big fan of the color pallete of this place. The music is your typical smooth jazz, nothing with words/lyrics, to maintain the ambiance of the place. I think the place I would compare this to is M brothers at the Mayo Clinic. I think it's run by the same family. The food her FAR SURPASSES the food at M brothers. And it was a wonderful fmdining experience. Personally, I would stay away from the beef dishes and order fish instead at both of these establishments. Food is a bit on the salty side, but very flavorful.

Restaurant Medure is our go to when celebrating birthdays and anniversaries! Medure is as close to fine dining in Jacksonville that you'll get and worth every penny. The atmosphere is romantic with dim lighting, white table clothes and attentive staff. The food is always consistent and delicious. This time I had the Maine Lobster gnocchi and my bf had the Radiatori Pasta with Tenderloin tips. Both were delicious. One favorite that we hope NEVER leave the menu is the Escargot. Ask for extra bread to soak up the amazing sauce. Not everyone at our table likes escargot but every one sure loves that sauce! Dessert is typically ordered before you've finished your entree, specially if you want a soufflé. They have both a Grand Marnier Soufflé and a soufflé of the evening. No matter which you choose, I haven't had a flavor I haven't liked. If you're looking to celebrate anything consider Medure. You won't regret it.

Valentine's Day dinner tonight at Medure was truly exceptional! We dined with our friends visiting from CT, who always love coming here. The very expansive pre-fixed menu assured that everyone had the perfect choice for every course. Our server, Kat was wonderful, always popping in when needed, but never a feeling of being rushed. Among our table we had tenderloin tartare, lobster, burrata as appetizers. The pork belly 2nd course was so tender & delicious, very unique. I loved my sea bass and it was cooked perfectly, but I could not finish it all! Every course was very generous. But the desserts! Red velvet soufflé and chocolate trifle were lovely, but the mascarpone and vanilla mouse was a beautiful treat for Valentines Day. The Manager was so attentive, checking in to make sure we were well taken care of. IMO, Restaurant Medure is the best restaurant in North FL.

Excellent food and fantastic service. All employees from the hostess to the bus girl to the waiter were friendly and attentive. The waiter had excellent recommendations for the entree and a red by the glass. I can especially recommend the Grilled Lamb Loin, cooked perfectly as requested at medium. For appetizers I had the Mayport Poached Shrimp in a Soba Style Salad and the Foie Gras. I would go back just for the shrimp. The accompanying bread and butter were also excellent. Highly recommended.

Oh my, how have we missed dining here before? What a wonderful evening! We decided to check out this spot after hearing good reviews and knowing anything Mathew is behind is great. We could only get an early or late seating, so we opted for the early dining seating but arrived even earlier for a few drinks in the bar to see what happy hour was all about. We were greeted by Vanessa and settled right in to our two high top bar seats. She was so engaging and as a little time passed and we found out more about the menu options, we chose to stay at the bar and forgo our dining room table. We could get everything on the full menu at the bar and she was so friendly! We started with a small charcuterie plate and she had the kitchen plate the meat on a separate plate, as I don't eat meat The plate included three types of cheese, honey, jam, nuts, prosciutto and bread. It was perfect for two though we did need to add a few more pieces of bread. For entrees, I decided I wanted soup and salad and the hubby wanted the chicken dish. Again, we asked for special accommodations, and had them put the meat on the side of the salad and we split that. It was really good. The hubby enjoyed his chicken dish but didn't care for the sauce on the pasta. The soup was good but overly sweet in my opinion, thus making my desire for dessert go away. I enjoyed the house Chardonnay. The drinks are discounted during happy hour in the lounge. We will be back and now understand the lay of the land as they say. Menu includes appetizers, starters and entrees of meat and seafood and all of high quality. Happy hour in the lounge is first come, first serve. Dining room table reservations are needed in advance. Check them out and visit Vanessa at the bar.

I love this place! And I hate to do this But yesterday is a strong reflection of my last 2 visits. Last nights visit did it for me! When I first used to come to Medure it was known for a really smooth classy place, with prestige vibe and style. I feel like some of that is out the window. If you see my last review to this review- some time has changed and apparently so has the culture inside. The last 2 times I have gone, my wife and I get thrown to the far back, (not sure why, especially when I have made reservations way in advance). This last time- it was so loud in that back room that I had to request a move to another area. The host mentioned this has been a common complaint about that area- so when you go, please say to be seated elsewhere. The food to come out is extra slow. We arrived at 7pm, and between the time we sat down and were served for the entire experience was about 2 hours. It just seemed extra long. It was never like that before! Servers don't wear gloves like they used to when they serve your food. All the servers are still spot on! Food for the most part was spot on with flavors, spices and herbs! Meatloaf was a tad bit dry. Portions are small. So you definitely need to do a appetizer and dessert to feel full. The salmon tempura was certainly a hit! The soufflé and blackberry cobbler are amazing.

I lived in the Ponte Vedra Beach for 3 Months at the start of the year (2021) and I visited Medure 1-2 days per week for dinner. This is the most amazing restaurant I had the pleasure of frequenting the entire time I was in town. I loved visiting the bar and trying the daily Chef Special. The menu is every changing but always high end. One of my favorite dishes was the Foie Gras! They had happy hour on drinks, $5 Wine and Martini's. The bartenders were always so kind, and offered plenty suggestions. I can't wait to visit PVB again just to eat here. PS - Ask about the daily Soufflé, One day they had a peanut butter one that was to die for!!!

The history, ambiance, food, and hospitality were all exceptional. Renee, our server, made the evening feel so personal. She was warm, genuine, and incredibly knowledgeable. We talked throughout dinner, and not once did she make us feel rushed. She helped curate our meal, and her service will be remembered just as much as the incredible food. Panos, the manager, also stopped by our table and was so friendly and welcoming; everyone genuinely cared about creating a great experience. Every dish was outstanding. The escargot was perfectly cooked (not rubbery at all) with the ideal balance of garlic butter, paired with an incredible fresh-baked baguette. The foie gras was excellent, the steak au poivre was cooked beautifully, and the duck confit was probably the best I've ever had. The red wine-marinated grapes were such a delightful, unexpected touch. For dessert, the lavender crème brûlée was such a unique and incredible flavor profile, very light and delicate, beautifully executed, and the chocolate mousse was just as good. After I left, I checked a few photos out online and only wish I had a chance to try the burger and the peach dessert thing. Also the oysters - couple next to us had them at the end and I wish I had saved room for a few. It's rare to find a restaurant where every part of the experience, from the food to the people, feels this special. We only wish we lived closer. Such an incredible place. The decor was well done and seems pretty classy. The food was fantastic! We tried the deviled eggs, raw oysters with datil hot sauce, and escargot. I tried one of the off menu omelette selections, which was expertly made. We also tried the bouillabaisse and Branzino. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also tried the lavender crème brûlée, pot de creme and Paris -Brest. We thoroughly enjoyed those desserts! I will highly recommend this restaurant for a date night or special occasion. This will be a longer review, but hopefully helpful for those that share our passion and want to get an idea of the impeccable dining experience we received! Cuisine, beverage, service and ambiance were all beautifully represented in a tour de force Bordeaux wine dinner at JJ's Liberty Bistro in Ponte Vedra this last Saturday. Each course was one foodie thrill after another! On the heels of an exquisite Valentine's Day meal (reviewed on this site), we jumped at the opportunity to experience Chef Oscar Perez' masterful creations expertly paired with wines from the beautiful Château Lagrange. For wine enthusiasts, this is a historic French Third Growth Bordeaux estate in the Saint-Julien appellation, known for its powerful, complex red wines made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot. Taking an already-elevated dining experience to another level, owner JJ brought Château Lagrange's General Manager and Winemaker Matthieu Bordes along with US Manager Marie Gabriele and Importer Patrick Leveque to thoughtfully discuss each pairing from wine composition, regional history, vine age, crop yields, flavor profile, and so much more. My wife and I were fortunate to sit alongside them as we dined, talking about their passion for crafting amazing product, sharing their extensive knowledge, and exhibiting immense patience as I attempted to recall my French vocabulary! They were warm, generous and delightful company who we look forward to seeing again when next they return to JJ's. As is a hallmark of dining at JJ's, the service was elegant and fluid, timed with precision like a beautiful dance. We began with Stuffed Mussels w/Crepinette, paired with a white 2022 Les Arums De Lagrange. The white wine served as not only a palate cleanser, but also gave gorgeous floral and buttery notes that balanced the mussels perfectly. Next came a light Sheepshead Bordelaise, SO tender and sauced expertly to ensure each flavor could be tasted rather than overwhelming the palate with one versus another (wonderfully paired with a 2016 Haut Medoc De Lagrange). Pictured below, you can see how beautiful the plating was, as with all dishes that evening. One of two favorites on the night...impossible to choose...was the Squab two ways (pigeon, akin to duck), served with Dutchess potato. Rich and decadent, this was a gorgeous pairing with the Merlot-dominant 2017 Les Fiefs De Lagrange. I'll be thinking about this dish for a long, long time! Lamb Loin is a perennial favorite, perfectly cooked and sauced, accompanied by the most delicious mushroom soufflé we'd ever tasted. The flavors melded together seamlessly, enhanced further by each sip of the bold, fruit forward 2018 Chateau Lagrange St Julien. The Cabernet-dominant blend was magnificent, age worthy but very approachable now - we took home a winemaker signed bottle! Finally, we came to a very special dessert not often found outside of the France, Caneles de Bordeaux. It has a dense texture with a slight crisp exterior, and was created to use the yellow of the egg; in the past, the whites were used to filter the wines. Delectable and unique, capping off a truly memorable event! We were thrilled to learn that JJ hosts these amazing dinners monthly, so I've included a picture of the upcoming schedule. They have a tendency to sell out (as with the dinner we attended), so recommend calling the number below and booking early! If anyone would like to experience something truly special and intimate, where the outside world melts away and you can truly indulge your senses, this checks all of the boxes and places itself among the finest beginning-to-end dining experiences available to the public. Every component had a purpose, and you could taste the level of technique behind it. I love coming here to celebrate birthdays as it's such a great spot for special occasions. The ambiance, service, and quality of food make it feel like a true experience every time. Orsay really nails that refined, French-inspired dining vibe: elegant, rich, and consistently memorable.

From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've been transported to a charming café in France. The Nutella and strawberry crepes are absolutely delicious and a must-order. Their cappuccinos are excellent, complete with adorable latte art that makes the experience even more special. And don't leave without trying one of their freshly baked croissants--they're perfectly buttery, incredibly flaky, and melt in your mouth. We sat outside and their outside area is super cute and spacious and it actually wasn't that hot being underneath the covering that they have and there is some breeze coming through. I order the same thing every time because I love it so much - the Le Germain. I also got the linzer matcha, which had an interesting taste. I've never had that flavor before and I just wanted to try it, but I don't think it was quite for me, but I usually do like their Matcha so I think it was just that I didn't love this particular flavor. But look how pretty it is I loved the purple and green together!!
