All in all, Argelia was helpful and professional, but for day-of coordinator service, my day-of experience was pretty awful. The night before my rehearsal dinner, my computer got water damage and was unusable- with it all of my guides, notes and decor information that was to be handed off to Argelia, so nothing was prepped and organized as it would have and was supposed to have been. Obviously, I was pretty scattered and panicked, and with about 10 out of town guests staying with us, I knew I wouldn't have time to remake all of the guides, notes and diagrams. I explained that and asked that she please, please meet me at the venue at 10am day-of so that I'd have two hours to go over everything with her before getting into hair/makeup. I knew that it would take a couple hours to go over everything but was confident that I could effectively show her what goes where in that time. She didn't arrive at the venue until after 12pm. In the time that I'd been waiting I did my best to organize the supplies at the venue with the help of my mother in law and her friends before leaving for hair/makeup. When I arrived back at the venue, things were a mess. Candles were being placed on tables without hurricanes (against venue regulation), and much of what had been done was incorrect, which makes sense, because I didn't have the chance to give proper instruction. We were supposed to go straight into photos, instead my bridesmaids and I spent about 30-45 minutes running around trying to fix what we could with the help of venue staff- stressful, frustrating, and resulted far less photo time than we needed. Argelia was supposed to oversee the handoff of the details and rings to be photographed while I was in hair/makeup, and instead sent a groomsmen to get them which resulted in my bridal jewelry not being photographed at all and was lost for half of the photos. Several bridesmaids were absent for photos while running around looking for it. In the few times I was able to give direction during the setup, Argelia repeated things back to me incorrectly. It felt as though she stopped listening and made no effort to adapt to the change in circumstance. I felt ignored and dismissed. We had discussed multiple times that at the end of the night the card box should be given to the grooms mother, not my mom, as my mom would be helping care-give for my very unwell dad. The card box was instead given to my mom at the end of the night, who immediately lost it, as I knew she would. Luckily, the event staff helped locate it and put it in the safe until the following day. Yes, there should have been guides and notes as discussed and it's my fault for not uploading them to the cloud like an idiot. But I also don't think it was asking too much for her to arrive a few hours early to ensure the setup went smoothly which would have helped us avoid the other frustrations. Without my bridesmaids, mother-in-law and her friends, and venue staff, the day could easily have been a nightmare. Prior to the day-of and when it came to packing everything up at the end of the night, Argelia was fantastic. I just wish that she had listened to me and that the day-of experience had been different. I feel she easily could have done more to accommodate the situation. My wife got a little over her head (and maybe went a little overboard) for our 3-year-old's Fancy Fancy Tea Party Birthday. After a few sleep deprived nights and frantic all-afternoon crafting sessions trying to make enough cute decorations, we called in the experts. Argelia from Le Reve was fantastic. She came in, sat down with my wife to get her vision and then made it a reality. Actually, she didn't make it a reality, she made it a wonderful, incredible, beautiful fantasy fit for a three-year-old princess and all of her little princess friends. Our living room was transformed into a pink and white and gold extravaganza. Bedazzled. Glittered. And flawless... down to the hand-painted teapot cookies that Argelia sourced from one of her contacts. I am a planner myself, but I did not want to plan and organize our wedding because we wanted to enjoy it to the fullest without the stress of planning our big day. We hired Argelia 2 years in advance of our June 12, 2021 wedding day because I was sooo antsy to start planning and getting all the big ticket items and preferred vendors out of the way and not be disappointed if a certain venue/vendor wasn't available. Argelia was super accommodating and responsive to our interests and wants. She helped us find all of our vendors (i.e. cake/desserts, wedding dress stores, venue, photographer, videographer, etc), which was awesome because we did not have to spend time doing any of the research. The planning process was sooo smooth and efficient and fun because of Argelia's hard work and attention to detail! There was a hiccup one month before our wedding where our initial venue cancelled on us at such a short notice. Argelia decorate for my daughter's Quinceañera and she did an AMAZING job. She exceeded my expectations. She is very talented and knew how to decorate and recreate the Mexican theme my daughter chose for her Quinceañera. We told her what we have in mind and she was able to recreate the atmosphere we had imagined and our guests were definitely in for a treat. One example of how she went above and beyond the standing tree with lights that she decorated with colorful flowers and Mexican bread (pan dulce) and it was definitely the talk of the night, both children and adults really enjoyed, and so did I. Argelia and her team were fantastic in helping us plan and coordinate our wedding. Since we were out-of-state clients (and in a different time zone), we're sure Argelia had to have a more flexible schedule. She was always timely and accommodating for us, which we greatly appreciated. The following are just some of the many highlights that stood out. First, we had a shorter turnaround time to plan the wedding (about 8 months in total to plan everything). Argelia's organization and availability helped immensely to prevent unnecessary stress. For example, the one time when we did go to California before the wedding, Argelia prioritized and set up meetings with the vendors we needed to meet with. Second, when we were selecting the venue, Argelia made herself available to check out the venues that we had researched online. When she went there, she would video-chat with us so we could see what the venues looked like, as well as take pictures and send them to us for our review after. She also gave us her honest opinions about each one, which we appreciated since we couldn't see them in-person. Third, on the day of the wedding, Argelia and her team set everything up beautifully. We simply organized our decorations into boxes and handed them off to her the day before, and she took it from there. I think what we liked the most was how she organized the dessert table, and the pictures we have validate our sentiments. In addition, she packed up everything after the wedding for us to take home so we weren't organizing things late into the night. Lastly and most importantly, Argelia struck the right balance between making sure that we were getting things done and making it an enjoyable process. I hold a high standard for people that I work with, I am particular and love things to be "perfect". I called Argelia as my daughter was about to turn 1 and I had not planned anything for her birthday. I had family flying in from all over the country and didn't want to disappoint. In only a short 3 weeks Argelia helped me plan a phenomenal Winter Onederland 1st Birthday for my daughter and 50 people. She was fast, thoughtful, showed me pictures and inspirational images (so important when you don't know what it will look like) connected me with excellent vendors who were professional and did a wonderful job.
