I was honestly super excited to try the sns powder with the gel extension nail from this place but the owner Ella.. she started off filing my nails like quick and rough.. she even made my nail bleed and don't say sorry however the manager was super nice and apologetic one star for her and the nails looking okay at the end. There are still some blood residue in the bedding area around my nail which you will see in the photos I will post. Please, I get you're the boss but please don't make ur workers or managers feel bad just because you can't say sorry and a customer feeling bad. This is what I learned from being a manager myself. Own up to your own actions and it's okay to say sorry! Next time please own up to your own actions and don't make your own workers that didn't do anything wrong say sorry in your behalf. read more

just wanted to leave a review in regards to Coco - she did my pedicure and manicure. it was my FIRST time there and I asked for french tip for my pedicure and I asked her to just redo ONE of my toe nails (the line was a THICK) and she immediately got an attitude and started speaking to her co worker in their language (which I obviously knew was something negative about me). After she did my manicure and nipped me real bad on my cuticle, I was legit bleeding throughout the entire manicure it got to the point where I asked her for the alcohol and tissue myself to actually stop the bleeding. After that terrible experience I went to go and pay and even left her a CASH tip to my surprise she asked for MORE of a tip.. I was baffled and told her that's all she would be getting from me and she continued to insist for me to leave more tip from my card I honestly couldn't believe that she thought that deserved more of a tip after the service she gave me. I thought getting your nails done in the city would be a luxury experience and boy was that far from it, first and LAST time that place will ever see me. read more

What a totally relaxing experience, that came at just the right time toward late afternoon with weary feet and tired legs. It was a perfect way to spend 45 minutes being pampered. Like most nail spas in New York, it was relatively inexpensive. So it's a good solution if you're tired hot weary and just want to rest in the middle of Manhattan. nails shops are a perfect sanctuary. I have been to Le Soleil twice and had great experiences both times. I recently went in December for a dip manicure and regular pedicure. My dip manicure lasted 5 weeks without chipping or peeling, which is probably the longest I have ever has my nails stay in tact. I would highly recommend this salon! read more

She was very thorough and even helped remove some of the extra pigment on my fingers (I chose black which left a lot of stains around). Forget it! I was just there today. Rose, Spanish speaking lady, burned me TWICE. Once turning on the hot water to my feet during the pedicure. Second, when she put the hot as hell parafin to my feet. My right feet is a blinding red as I write this. I walked in thinking just opened up that they would be good. Good Lord, NO! She was very inexperienced I noticed. But I thought she cannot at least do massages etc. Damn, what a bad mistake. She brought hot scorching parafin, and literally burned me. Forget it! My new go-to nail spot in the city. I made an appointment to remove a gel-x manicure that I received in a different state and Sally was kind enough to help me out with this difficult ask. Sally and a few other technicians worked together to figure out the best way to remove the extensions would be, and Sally then spent a significant amount of time gently removing the nails. Even though the team was super busy with both appointments and walk-ins Sally somehow was able to gracefully balance providing me with an amazing service while managing her team and the crowd of customers visiting the salon. I was very impressed by her professionalism, attention to detail, and overall level of care. The salon itself is gorgeous with state-of-the-art supplies and polish techniques. A good place for medi+pedi. I also like that they have a massage chair while some of the neighboring nail places don't have these options, so while getting a pedicure I can get a chair massage. I'm bummed. I thought I had found a great clean nail place in the city until the most recent time I went and it took almost 3.5 hours for my manicure and pedicure. I had made an appt. for 4:00, waited until 4:30 for someone to come and then didn't leave until 7:15 - messing up my plans for the evening. The woman was nice and apologetic but she wouldn't give me a discount for my troubles which was a bummer. My pedicure came out well but the top coat on all my nails didn't dry and it's splotchy in a few spots - would've passed out from starvation if I had to sit there any longer. I got sns with tips and it was $85 and then after paying she didn't want to let me leave without leaving a tip, I left a tip of $7 and she pointed to a sign that said "18% tip is greatly appreciated". I pointed back at the sign to let her know "appreciated" is not the same as "required" and then I left. I wish I could go back but I hate being forced to leave a tip, call me cheap but, the service is already expensive. SNS powder is $30 max, a pack of those tips is less than $10, the tip is baked into the price, c'mon. read more

My experience here with Cici and Daisy was great they were the sweetest! My husband got a manicure and I got gel x nails + a spa pedicure. My only complaint would be that I tipped both ladies generously before walking up to pay my $200 balance and when I gave the lady at the front desk my money she stopped me when I tried to leave and asked if I left tips which was quite rude.
