$13 Turkey that used to be $10

Le Spot restaurant influxes their pricing on their food. I have proof of past purchases where they charged me $10 for the same meal. It was not an issue to pay but the women in the store began getting rude and disrespectful when all I inquired was there a change in price. Prior to this the ladies inside were having an argument amongst themselves and took very long to even service me. This is not the first time their service has been horrible. The lighter skinned worker who speaks no English and a woman with glasses who I never saw before are especially rude and unprofessional. Seriously do not go there. I am trying to find out how to report them to the Better Business Bureau, so any tips would be nice

I ordered the griot fritay which was good, the legume and rice was bomb too. I'm reading the reviews most is about customer service the food was on point. I ordered thru Uber eats I'll definitely order again

You ever walk into a restaurant that serves a particular cuisine and just KNOW the only reason you're receiving bad service is because you're not the same nationality as the people running the restaurant? Ok...walked in at 4pm and walked out at 5:25pm waiting for their next batch of griot. We were told it would take 20 minutes, but like I said, we walked out over an hour later. There were people who came in after us who we later found out ordered griot as well but got their food before us. When we went up to question what was going on, each time we were responded to with attitude and was told that our food will be just a few more minutes. Finally when we were about to walk out, the young lady behind the counter called us over and said our food is ready. Was frustrated but starving so I went ahead and paid for the overpriced food and left. Got home and maaaan - the griot was harder and drier than a crackhead's lips smh. I was pissed. They also charged us eight dollars for a side of rice and beans . We will never be back. Do yourself a favor and go a couple miles down the road to Port-au-Prince

Fried plantains, Sausage & fried pork!! Does this look like white Rice, beans with griot?

On Thursday sept 24 2020, i place an order on Uber eats from this place! I wasn't able to go out and get food so i decided to try this haitian restaurant. I order griot (fried Pork) with white rice & beans! This delivery would take a hr too come! My food arrive an they gave me a totally different order! A different combo called Fritaille I'm soo upset because I'm hungry and they mess up my order! Now i called them they want me to reorder something like a beverage so they can send me the right mea! I told them that's not possible because the service fee will cost more than the beverage !! Busy laughing joking in the background.. next time i will stick my original Haitian restaurant that i usually go too!

Very poor customer service, food quality is questionable, Dept. Of Health should look closely to the sanitation of this place.

Very good Haitian food. The rice is always delicious. Recommend chicken in sauce with any rice, griot and plantains.

This place is very intimidating because it's busy and at least when I went, everyone was conversing…read morein creole. The ordering is somewhat disordered--wait in line but some loud speaking person will randomly stand in front of you, shout something, walk off, walk back, shout again n get their food. Staff seemed to have limited English proficiency and the patrons in line I tried to engage in convo for advice, spoke English fluently, but weren't really interested in providing much more info than basics "chicken stew. Not spicy. Ehhh bon soir du riz blancs bla bla" (I got stuck at "bon soir? It's only 1pm, y'all jonesing for night I guess") Hot af inside. Food? OUTSTANDING loved the jerky texture and salted delish. Great prices. Griot was delish but a lil more fat pieces than other places. Idk many into deep fried fat chunks but I imagine a delicacy for Haitians Con: lotsa delicious looking food. No one available or willing to explain. Hot af inside even with full ac.

Let's talk Creole Cuisine. Having resided in Queens Village for years and knowing many Haitians, I…read morehave developed a very sophisticated palette. In search of legit creole fritaille (fried everything) I stumbled upon this buffet restuarant. Ideal for take out like many haitian owned restuarants. This place doesn't have much of a ambiance, decorated like your aunt's kitchen with very few seats. Again, this place is ideal for dish out and go service. I am addicted to Picklès. Pickled style cabbage with hot peppers (very similar to what is served with Jamaican Escovitch style fish). Haitians eat it with everything. I ordered baked chicken, fried pork (Griot), fried Okra (ackra), white rice, black rice and ofcourse haitian style macaroni and cheese (served with Ziti style noodles). I believe I spent $12 a plate, which was well worth the quality and HUMONGOUS portion provided. If you're in search of a distinct home cooked meal, you must visit.
