Delicious haitian cuisine and kick ass band made this holiday gathering memorable. The catering hall is spacious and the service impeccable. All the servers were firing on all cylinders. Used plates were removed frequently and pitchers of water refilled quickly The buffet area is AYCE and they will serve you which I think is an excellent idea, as they ask how much of a serving you would like. I always hate when I see people serve themselves and stack their plates to the point of the food toppling over and then only to throw out most of it. AYCE folks, come back for more later without being wasteful. Some of the dishes they were serving that night were the joumou butternut squash soup, stewed chicken, macaroni, griot, rice and beans, fish and boulet meatballs just to name a few. Haitian food at its finest! I am a regular at this establishment and the food is always good. Different days there are different meal specials and options available. The food is great, always fresh tasting and the space is great for holding events I believe it can hold up to 200 people huge right! However due to covid we all know we are restricted. Tonight I decided to visit and ordered Mom: $22 lambi with white rice and black bean sauce that came with a salad and they give you dressing for your salad. My mother mentioned the lambi being good she gives it a 10! She says that it was soft, spicy and tasteful. The rice and beans were also good completed the meal nicely. Myself: $22 Fried red snapper with white rice and black bean sauce. The snapper was fried to perfection every bite your have will lead to another. Portion size for both meals were good. I came here for a private event on Saturday. Although it's a little dated, inside is pretty big and spacious. The food was really good, especially the macaroni and the griot. If you know me, I love some Haitian food. Its impossible to have bad Haitian food, so I attended the event with high expectations for brunch. The brunch menu is not what Americans should expect. There are no eggs and there are no pancakes or bottomless mimosas. $18.00 gets you an all you can enjoy dinner buffet. Hot soup joumou, rice and peas, fish, steak, Griot (fried delicious pork), Haitian Macaroni and Cheese, salad, Meatballs. Everything was honestly PERFECTION. Those meatballs are melt in your mouth good. The Macaroni and Cheese is just...orgasmic. The crisp breadcrumb topping and ooey gooey inside. There is live music playing and no haitian venue is authentic without dancing. This is no doubt a lovely venue to host a christening, anniversary and birthday party. My family and I went to Lantillaise over the weekend. Seven of us gathered to celebrate my aunt's birthday. I'm sooo happy we went, We had an amazing time!! The staff treated my family and I with warmth. The owner checked on us twice to ensure Our needs were met in a timely fashion. We sincerely appreciated their hospitality. My sis and I went on Friday night for her birthday and a jazz band was playing which was excellent they sang the birthday song and included everyone that was celebrating which made my sis night!first we ordered acra and marinad which took about 45 minutes to come and the first waiter we had did not once come to the table to say anything,he was more interested in serving a larger table!I requested for another person to take my order which turned the whole night around!although the food did not come any faster!this waitress was very attentive and took my meal order right away and also mention they was a $10 charge at the door which I asked her to mention again after I eat cause I m much nicer then which made her laugh and she said no problem!from that point forward she brought salad,chicken wings on the table and constantly checked on us to make sure we had drinks!she was wonderful! read more

Had my Aunts 60th birthday party this weekend. Let me first start with the good points : Food is superb and delicious and DJ was excellent as well playing Haitian music from back in the daysthat I grew up on and playing new Haitian tunes . When it comes to the service and customer service skills I give them a thumbs down. The room we rented for that night was filthy was not swept , mopped, walls was dirty and the blind was filthy . When we asked for someone to sweep and mopped the floor the workers was arguing amongst each other who is going do it , and we asked them to help with putting down the tables and they extremely were lazy. One worker was telling us she doesn't do that and they too heavy for her . Myself and my two cousins did it ourselves . My cousin sweep the floor and I mopped because we could not let our guests come into these conditions. I came here for a comedy show with my boyfriend. This was my first time visiting this place or even hearing about it. Parking was very easy. There's a parking lot right next to the entrance and ample street parking. There were people at the door collecting money. It wasn't a warm greeting but more or less just to get that transaction over with. When we walked in we had to go find a table. It took us a while to get the attention of a waitress. She came over to us and we ordered some drinks as well as some appetizers. The food was pretty average. This is a West Indian restaurant / Lounge, Haitian to be precise. I absolutely love Haitian food. I'm Jamaican and I prefer it over my own country's food. If this was my first time experiencing Haitian food I would think that I didn't like it. I think the best appetizer we ordered was the fried chicken wings. Haitians typically fry their chicken with no breading or flour coating. It's just seasoned chicken wings fried in oil. It was okay. I'm not sure if they were disorganized or short wait staff but we kept on having to look around to find her to request drinks or napkins or any little thing. Not to mention the comedy was bad. It is with great sadness that I write this review following my father's repast at L'Antillaise however based on my terrible experience I felt compelled to share my disappointment. I selected L'Antillaise due to its proximity to my father's church and its ability to provide Haitian food. I signed a contract with the owner Leslie who assured me that he would be able to accommodate my 250 guest at 11:30 on 9/26. This proved not to be the case in its entirety. The grievances are too many to list, not only was Leslie not ready for our arrival i.e. tables weren't set, the food was not adequate for our group, the service was beyond poor. He had a staff of only 6 serving our group of 250 which included the only bartender. The staff was overwhelmed and short-tempered which intern caused my family to bus tables along with assist with the food service despite our own personal grief. When I questioned the "manager" about my concerned about the quantity of food, she blatantly lied to me assuring me that there were additional platters in the back when this was not the case. They ran out of coffee, sugar and milk (basic supplies in the food industry). The worst offense came when it was time to settle the bill. Leslie (the owner) did not even have the decency to speak with me and sent his manager in his place who was despondent and aloof in her responses and even tried to blame my guests for some of the mishaps. The manager finally conceded that the service was poor and agreed to a reduction in my bill however this was never about the money. I would have gladly paid the entire sums due if they have done their job. My humiliation and embarrassment runs deep because I so wanted to support this establishment. UNTIL THEY GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER, DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANY LARGE EVENTS!!! read more
