Jamaican Flavors has never failed me. Over the years, whether it was a quick single meal because I didn't feel like cooking or catering family event, the service has always been top tier. My family esp especially love that they have an economic option that serves about 8 and you can add (2) protein, a starch, a veggie and everyone gets a slice of cake and it comes with (2) large drinks. There's always so much food left over after everyone eats. Can't beat it. The space is small and accommodates about 6 customers tailgating each other to get to the counter. Once you accomplish that, it moves along pretty quickly. The workers are nice and it's seamless. The hot counter offers all your major Caribbean staples: jerk chicken (boneless and bone on) , shrimp, curry chicken, curry goat, etc. They also have about (2) soup options daily and your baked goods like beef patty and coco bread. No review would be complete without the honorable mention of the Rasta pasta which you can get with or without added options of jerk chicken or shrimp. Baybeeee, let me tell you, this plate is KING. It's like a warm hug that puts you to sleep. At checkout you can add slices of cake or your fresh juices. My go to is a refreshing cucumber ginger that just hits every time. Great food at good cost and with excellent service.

An A-OK experience at Jamaican Flavors. I had never heard of this establishment until my friend mentioned it. Apparently, it has multiple locations with great reviews. We stopped in for lunch one day and I must say I wasn't blown away. Jamaican Flavors is located in the heart of Springfield Gardens. Be mindful, parking is tough unless you take a chance and park in the mini-mall across the street. There was a line however, things moved pretty quickly. Upon first glance, they have a great menu. It features your traditional Jamaican entrees like Bar-B-fried chicken, curry goat, stew chicken, etc. They also offer varieties of freshly baked patties, desserts, and homemade juices. Moreover, they offer family meals at a great value. I decided to keep things light and purchased 2 pieces of their southern fried chicken and a beef patty. My friend decided to go for a full meal of southern fried chicken with rice and peas and steamed cabbage. We also purchased natural drinks - sorrel and carrot juice. This is a true carry-away or take out spot, meaning, there is no place to sit inside. So be prepared to purchase and go. Now let's talk about the food. The fried chicken was ok. It was seasoned nicely but it was spicy. It tasted as if they added scotch bonnet pepper into the fried chicken batter. I like spicy food and have a high tolerance for spice, but I did not like it in this case. Ultimately, I've had better fried chicken. For the beef patty, I had a spicy version. Overall, it was good. The filling was seasoned nicely and it was'nt spicy, in my opinion. My only gripe is that I wish it had a more flaky crust. Finally, the carrot juice was delicious. In fact, I would say it was very authentic to traditional Jamaican carrot juice. There was a hint of some sort of spice or aromatic added that gives it a slight difference from the traditional juice, but overall, it was tasty. In terms of service, the staff were fast and pretty friendly for the most part. Service is quick and you can purchase your food with cash or card. In terms of the menu, not all things were available. Interestingly they offer Jamaican-style boba tea however, there was none available. Thats super unique and I'm interested to try it, if I ever return. Overall, it was an ok experience. I was not thoroughly impressed by the food but it hit the spot. I would return if I were in the area, but it wouldn't go out of my way to visit nor would I immediately recommend to others.

The food options are really great and packed with flavor. The line was a little long, but moved fast. There is no seating as the food is takeout.

They have never disappointed me I been going here for years and have even gotten catering. Today was the latest catering I purchased and I must say the process was so smooth. I would recommend them anytime. I usually walk in to order but this time I didn't really have the time to go there to order it. I relied on their online system and I'm so happy to say it was a success. I ordered for 12p, I got there at 12:15 gave them my name & within 5 min they were out with my order packed in heavy duty bags. They get a 10/10 from me. It was the most smoothest transition and the person that brought the food out helped me to my car. Definitely check them out for catering. As far as ordering regular meals there is always a line when I go no matter when I go. But it usually goes fast. The food is good and tasty. The parking is horrible but you make it work. I started going to Jamaican Flavors as a teenager in Jamaica Ave. I used to only get their beef patties. They are still on the avenue so if you ever there go & get you some patties.

It's $2 extra for the pasta SMH

Jamaican Flavors is trying to dig more into people's pockets like unfortunately other businesses are too. For some reason when you order their pasta they add on $2 extra charge. I'm not sure why since the order includes a protein & a side order. I don't come here often & in fact haven't been in years & it will be some time before I return, if I even return. This is the same pasta from years ago, what has changed. You can still buy pasta from the supermarket for a $1.00, what's the $2.00 charge for?!?

Jerk chicken, oxtails, cake, soda, rice and peas, white rice, Sweet Plantains

Paid $93 for all this food. We got the meal for 6 deal it came with dessert and a soda, and I ordered myself a side of oxtails plate, everything was so delicious and well packed. This location is just a pick up and go, but the staff is helpful and kind...

Jamaican Flavors is a very small takeout, sometimes you may have to wait outside. The food is not bad, I've had the fish which is really good as you can see in the picture. The red pea soup with beef lacks the beef, I had two cubes of beef in a large soup with lots of provisions but, it taste good. There is no ambiance, just come in, GET IT AND GIT .

Been coming here for the better part of 10 years. Haven't been disappointed by the food ONCE! Restaurant is small, so make sure you call ahead and order

Curry Chicken Patty
Erica M.

The food that I absolutely loved was the curry chicken roti and the jerk chicken patty. The roti was fresh, light and fluffy. The curry was well seasoned the meat was very tender and it was just VERY good. Even the next day when I had to warm them up. It was still very delicious. Also good was the jerk chicken patty. You can see the chunks of meat in the patty. What I didn't enjoy as much was the curry chicken patty. That one tasted like the frozen patties you can buy from the store and warm yourself. The mean was ground yo very fine. The "filling" was MISSING and it just had no real flavor. Granted both the curry and jerk could've both been frozen instead of made fresh it's just the jerk was the better of the two flavor wise. I'll be honest I ate my patties first so I was a little hesitant about the roti but they definitely made up for it. My son ate the beef patty he said it was good but there was minimal meat/filling on the inside. The service and ambiance is exactly what you expect from a Jamaican restaurant...so if you know you know it's NOT sunshine and rainbows. I would go back for the roti.

We came back to eat some more elsewhere when before that. Jerk chicken and rasta pasta in queens and then it was so tasty.

Callaloo Patty
Irene L.

My friend introduced me to this place. I tried the callaloo patty and it was good. I never had anything like this before. The callaloo was well seasoned and the crust was perfectly toasted. I also tried the ackee patty. That was pretty good too.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this! I thought it would be greasy but it wasn't at all. Lines can get long at this place with many cars double parked outside so do keep that in mind before going. Had the meal for two and the combo was tasty and affordable. Jerk Chickennnnnnnn! Mac and Cheeseeeeeeee! Will be going back for a late night meal soon. The two cake slices I got were moist and just the right portion. Blue Velvet Cake Slice Pina Colada Cake Slice

When you walk in for the lunch or dinner rush, the sheer volume of options hits you immediately. The protein lineup alone is a masterclass in variety, covering every angle from deeply smoky jerk chicken, BBQ, and rich brown stew to curry goat, tender pork, and pristine fish like porgie and red snapper. It's supported by an endless array of staples--perfectly executed rice and peas, clean white rice, green bananas, and sweet, caramelized plantains. There is quite literally too much to list, but the execution remains remarkably high across the board. The staff keeps the line moving with a pleasant, welcoming energy, and while the legendary Jamaican breakfast menu remains uncharted territory for me, the dinner rotation alone makes this place an automatic favorite. Food (4/5): A massive victory for variety and flavor. To pull off this many traditional Caribbean proteins--from oxtail and curry to perfectly fried fish--and keep them all consistently tender and deeply seasoned at a buffet scale is a serious achievement. Decor (3.25/5): Unpretentious, functional, and clean. It's a space built for high-volume neighborhood traffic where the visual focus is kept exactly where it belongs: on the food. Customer Service: The staff is consistently warm, patient, and efficient, maintaining a welcoming neighborhood vibe even when the counter gets absolutely slammed. Price: Around $15 per person. For a heavy, high-quality, fill-your-plate to the brim ..... Caribbean feast in this day and age, the value here is completely unmatched.

It is in the parking lot of Walmart/Home Depot but closer to the BJ's side. The wait was a bit long to order the food. They have a great ordering system in that they have a megaphone to call out your receipt number. I had a bit of a wait to receive my food. I initially went for corn soup and I should have just stopped ordering right there. The corn soup was very tasty. I didn't care for the dumplings that they had in it though. I poured pepper in my soup and it was real nice. I should have gotten two soups. I got an aloo pie with channa, pepper, tamarind, mango, cucumber, and chadon beni. This could have used more flavor, which is surprising, especially with all of the toppings on it. I got bake and saltfish with tamarind and pepper. I truly did not like or enjoy this at all. I took one bite and knew I shouldn't eat anymore. I took another bite to be sure and after that bite decided to just take my L and throw it all out. The saltfish was rubbery, at room temperature, and it tasted off. The bake itself seemed like it would taste okay but it was soggy and soaking in liquid. I literally opened this shortly after getting it so i don't know how the bake could be so soggy. I would not recommend the bake and saltfish at all. The aloo pie is okay but it wasn't giving what it needed to give. However, the corn soup was delicious. Def go for the corn soup.

My boyfriend suggested we come here after a long day at work to relax, eat, and watch the basketball game. To be fair, the music was good and we were greeted and seated immediately, so initially everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, things went downhill very quickly. I ordered a Caesar salad with salmon, and there was a ROACH in the food. Not near the plate. But crawling FROM my the salad. Completely unacceptable and honestly disturbing. The waitress apologized and offered to remake it free of charge. At that point I should have left, but I tried to give the place the benefit of the doubt and stayed. Then the bill came and they STILL charged me for the salad with the roach in it. That alone told me everything I needed to know about the level of professionalism and sanitation standards here. Between the unsanitary food preparation, unproportioned BBLS, and the overall atmosphere, I would never trust this establishment again. First and absolutely last time coming here

We indulged in the happy hour menu which has a good deal of options and the price is really good. The drinks and food are all $8.95 with the exception of 2 food items which are $9.95, still a good price. We had the passion fruit martini and margarita- both were good and not watered down. For food we had the yummy sticky wings, champagne mussels, fried chicken dumplings, and crab dip nachos. The champagne mussels were amazing! That sauce is to die for. The wings were good. The crab dip was tasty but I think it's a little too watery. The chicken dumplings were okay, nothing special. Only recommendation to management /DJs is to turn the music down just a tad. The vibe and music is always great, but we still wanna be able to hear our conversations without yelling or struggling
