Everything was in fashion and they had a variety of clothes to fit different shapes and sizes. I am short. Most of the stores I would love to buy things from have only clothing made for tall and extra tall. This place did not disappoint. Jen, the saleslady found jeans in a moment's notice and they fit perfectly. This is a lovely woman owned new shop that deserves your attention. I am impressed!

I ended up buying a straw hat, a nice weaved worn leather belt, and deal of the day.... a lapis necklace....hey, I like it. We left to go get lunch so Margo could think about the boots and continued our journey. On our way back to the car, we stopped in and I ended up buying 3 neck scarves that I had not seen on my first visit. The place brought back soo many memories of living at the beach by just looking at all the options. In the back of the store, there are worn blue jeans everywhere for you to look at and consider. Also, some home goods, very nice lamps that would be nice as well as some dishes and other small items. You really need to time to enjoy the store and merchandise. If you are looking for gorgeous custom designs, Lea in San Anselmo is the place. After much searching to no avail at bridal boutiques, the mall, etc. for a mother-of-the-bride dress for my mom, we made an appointment at Lea on the recommendation of a friend. We were both taken with Lea's sincere, intuitive and creative approach to dress-making. Lea is totally dedicated to the integrity of the design and the materials used and to customer satisfaction. She goes to great lengths to make the garment to the customer's exact specifications and dedicates time and personal attention to each customer. She really listens to the customer's thoughts, opinions, and wishes and takes them to heart. In addition to the mother-of the-bride dress, I ordered a custom-made rehearsal dinner dress from Lea, and it is by far the most flattering cut on any dress I have ever owned. I only wish I would have known about Lea when I was shopping for a wedding dress. She does gorgeous bridal gowns as well. Lea's shop is understated elegance. I love the aesthetic, eye for quality, talent and dedication that Lea and Linda possess. I will certainly be a regular customer at Lea. I had a wedding dress made by Lea last Fall and it was perfect! She was amazing and patient, and really listened to what I wanted, making the impossible happen. The dress was STUNNING! And affordable. It was a true piece of art. Lea is an amazing artist, and she is an artist to the core. She can be a bit spacey, and artsy and I think that bothers some of the Marin clientel, but it's really their loss if they can't see past that. Her designs are fantastic, and the outcome is special, nothing you could get from you typical high end wedding dress shop. I noticed right away, looking through her bridal gown photos, that the dresses she designed complimented to bride's body AND inner beauty. And that is what she did for me and I am forever greatful! I don't know when I've had such pleasure purchasing clothes as recently at Lea Designs! Lea, the designer, helped me find the perfect garments--even making new pieces to fit perfectly. She is really gifted at finding fabric and style to compliment a particular figure and occasion. I now have several new pieces and I am thrilled beyond words as they are novel, uniquely styled and fitted for me, and items I will always wear remembering the happy time acquiring them. Lea is an amazing designer, with a fabulous eye for wedding dresses. I was discouraged after going to traditional bridal places, and couldn't find the sleek, elegant design I was looking for. After hearing through friends about Lea, I wandered into her shop, and she took the time to collaborate a design that fit the dress I couldn't describe or design myself! I have lots of great pieces that I have acquired from Lea through the years. She makes fabulous day and evening wear specifically for you. I am luckily able to wear her "off the rack" styles too. I recently got a great black lace dress that folds for travel into the size of a handkerchief. My BEST, most-loved recent purchase is a sylish wrap wool coat. I just wore it inside another wool coat because it was so cold in New York and it looked fabulous! Lea's designs are practical and really out-of-the-ordinary. In desperation, I took a long taffeta skirt in to Lea's atelier at the suggestion of a friend, because I hadn't found a top that worked with it anywhere. I was afraid I was not going to be able to wear it for my son's wedding in a month! She reassured me on that, then designed a beautiful silk jersey top in a color I would never have thought to consider. It turned out to work perfectly with the skirt, creating a casually elegant ensemble. Shockingly, the cost of her custom work was quite reasonable. Once I decided on the style and the color, the dress was ready for my fitting in a week and finished several days later. It was easy, not intimidating and I love the dress. Amy made me the most beautiful skirt, and supplied me with an incredible wreath for my hair!…read more The skirt itself is yards and yards of tulle, light and fluffy enough to satisfy any ballerina. Although I hadn't even thought of it, she added a beautiful lace trim under the first layer of tulle, which delights me to no end. She also created a silk ribbon sash to tie around the waist of the skirt and some beautiful flowers made of silky material that can be pinned onto the skirt or a cute top to really tie the outfit together. The wreath is so delicate, made of white beads and lovely ribbon. I saw it on her blog, entitled Bride Chic, and I made a comment about how lovely I thought it was. She informed me that she still had the same wreath, and I immediately asked her about it. Needless to say, shortly thereafter it was mine. I love it! I cannot wait to wear my new, beautiful skirt and wreath. They will truly make me feel like a princess, on one of my special days or any day that I end up wearing them. Amy has a warmth and attention to detail that I absolutely adore, and I plan on working with her as often as I can to create beautiful new outfits to round out my wardrobe. My dress had a very detailed lace pattern at the top and a mesh backing, making it complicated to work with. I also procrastinated booking an appointment, so by the time I dropped it off it was only 6 weeks before my wedding. It was her busiest time of year (with postponed 2020 weddings), but she still made it work without complaining. She was able to beautifully alter it (even though my weight dropped a bit, requiring a third fitting). The dress fit perfectly without compromising any of the original gown's design. Mila is such a joy to work with; I will definitely go to Fichu for all my alterations in the future.

Eddie was the one helping us, but Miranda was also in the shop, and these two amazing humans made what could feel stressful (based on other boutique visits) so nerve calming. This store does not run on commission, so people work as a team to help out brides to be. Eddie spent time just talking with my little sister to get an idea of what he should put her in. Then...he turned to her team and asked us about her favorite dresses: a Bacar and Cosette were currently in top place, but likely unavailable to get by the wedding date. Eddie pulled a dress that was so different than the ones he'd originally pulled. But it was a lovely mixture of both of her favorites and she instantly lit up when she had it on. Of course, we still had plans to check one more location in Hayward for dresses, so a decision could not be made at that time. But Eddie was not at all worried, he just gave us the dress info and his availability for the rest of the day. Two days later, my little sister purchased the dress Eddie picked over the phone. It was meant for her: it fit like a glove, was giving fairy princess in a garden tea party. It was the dress we were looking for, but we would have never found without Eddie. I also splurged on some great costume jewelry. The price tag just couldn't be beat at $40. Thank you Miranda and Eddie for bringing the best energy in your totally chic and cozy boutique. My sister is getting married at the end of the year so my mom and I visited to help her pick a…read morewedding dress. She made an appointment to Blue Sky Bridal and we got an uber to San Francisco. I personally have no experience in any of this so it was a really cool experience. This is a very small location which is nice when it comes to picking out a wedding dress. My sister liked the fact that it was a consignment shop. She picked out a few dresses and they were taken to the room she would be trying dresses on. Natalie was the lovely associate who was helping her out. She was very helpful with zipping her up and gave us great dresses that fit my sisters style. My sister really liked that the dresses were all reasonably priced. Overall she really liked one of the dresses she tried on. She even put a deposit on the dress because she was 90% certain she wanted it. The only thing that stopped us from getting it was the fact we had a second appointment somewhere else. She didn't end up going with this one because the other dress had the alterations included with the flat price! Thank you so much Natalie for all your help and your style was so cool! Maybe when I get married, I come check out some dresses!!
