Eileen Fisher: comfortable fit, price tag reflects the quality you are buying. Think "Coastal…read moreGrandma" style of natural fabrics, comfort, neutral colors. Before the pandemic I wore all Black tailored clothing with sky high heels to work every day. Then the pandemic. Career switch. Working from home. No need for uncomfortable "hard" clothes or high heels. I still want to be stylish even if comfort is my motivation. Eileen Fisher outfits is that for me and Nordstrom is where I shop for it because unlike the EF store, at Nordstrom I can also buy bras and shoes in the same trip) Nordstrom has outfitted me through the many chapters of my life starting from my teen years. I continue to enjoy the consistent top tier customer service, wonderfully curated options in store, on site tailoring, and their generous return policy. I used to have a Nordstrom personal shopper. Then I was a member of The Trunk. Now I am considering the option to have Nordstrom brought to my home so I can try and buy things without going to the physical location. Stonestown and downtown SF used to be my primary stores. Now it's Corte Madera. This store is so well stocked, I almost never hear "I can order it online". I enjoy the instant gratification of taking my purchases home with me on the same day. The majority of my wardrobe was purchased at Nordstrom. I am a loyalist. PS: don't sleep on Nordstrom Rack at the Vintage Mall. If you aren't local, Nordstrom Rack online is so great for money saving designer options!

There's something about this store that is a bit extra, in a great way. I've been going to this…read morestore for years, not as my go-to, but usually when I'm in the area. I just feel like the product selection here is better. For instance, the Hokas - what they had on display were actually nice colors, not just those weirdly bright ones, but aesthetically pleasing ones. I also feel that in general, they have a wide variety of selection for all their products. They have a really good shoe selection. Service is excellent too. I was helped pretty quickly without waiting to do a return. I'm really not sure why people aren't happy with this Nordstrom! It really is wonderful!!

Apparently and most ironically disappointing, I purchased the stainless steel foam, dress hangers at this store location a few years ago but now, CS no longer carries the stainless steel foam, dress hangers within their physical and online inventory.

I didn't like the look in their eyes when they said that. But OK it's nobody's fault but mine because, as the Godfather Don Corleone explained , "I have a sentimental weakness for my children and I spoil them as you can see." In my earlier life I had failed as a packrat, instead preferring with each change of residence to send stuff to either Goodwill or the dump. So my kids needn't worry about their keepersakes. I'm unlikely to get rid of anything from my years as their mr family guy, being that for the most part their stuff is what little i have to remind me today of whatever it was I did before that. Not much to show for some 20 years as an itinerant... uh, itinerant. I don't learn from experience, just hope to get better results by repeating the same mistakes over and over and over and... which according to Einstein is the essence of insanity, but wtf did he know. I don't know either, but in my case it's a moot point anyway, at least according to the kind folks in Bellevue's 9.39 ward many years ago in nyc. But being much improved now, I have initiative: wake up, smell the coffee, put on a clean white shirt, get a haircut, shape up/ship out and similar happy horsesht, to wit: I was going to organize things for such day that I blow a fuse or something worse, and things will be in order. To make this happen I would pack everything in some nice plastic boxes, just like the winners in this world. Which is how I happened to visit the Container Store for the first time in my disorderly life. It's a bit intimidating to enter this place. There are so many different kinds of boxes, giving the sense that real people pack things up, neat and tidy in hermetically sealed, moisture impermeable, plastic storage boxes built for the ages. All this is an essential part of the good life. OK, but I just wanted something cheap, that wouldn't turn to dust like my old cardboard wine boxes have done after 50 years. Those are nice, free and simple to use with no selection to make, being that they're all the same size. Plus, you aren't likely to overload cardboard wine boxes when you've saving books or papers. Do that with a larger box and they're quite impossible to move without regretting it next morning getting out of bed. To keep on the sunny side of life, as I'm sure I almost always do, my approach is: can't figure how to solve your problem then ignore the problem. Is the Container Store where all my problems can be solved with the right plastic storage box? Really? Fortunately I did find just the right boxes, in the exact right sizes... the only question was what did they cost? It was my luck that the items I wanted had no prices anywhere, not on the shelf nor the items themselves, nor some sort of sandwich board on the pile in the middle of the store. I noticed this detail was missing on other items as well. Perhaps find someone to explain the pricing, but it won't be in a mere five minutes as store personnel are few in number. So I bought what I wanted having no idea what the total cost would be. But I knew that to be a minor issue with these boxes. The problem for me will be actually using them.

Fabletics is and particularly the VIP program and returns and customer service... horrible…read more I clicked on something to buy it cheap and was signed on without my awareness to a $59 monthly charge i was not even aware of. I received some bras that were fine and this outdoor jacket for 23 dollars that didn't fit right. At this point I engaged in a roughly 1.5 month struggle that time added up I probably spent 8-10 of the hours I usually earn 80 dollars for each one worked to try to return a 23 dollar jacket. I was sent a QR code. The customer service person said to bring it to USPS. I brought it there. They said no. I forgot about it and some time went by. I tried again at UPS and it wasn't the right UPS. Sad and demoralized, i gave up for a while and tried again. The code was out of date. I call customer servIce repeatedly and there were 200 - 250 ppl ahead of me?!?! I opt to hang up and get a call back and nobody calls back. I finally got a hold of a human again. She said she would extend the code . She sent me a new one. I went to the "Happy Retirns" location, how ironic.. it didn't work again the same day she updated it and emailed me the updated code?!?! I gave up and am looking for someone to give the jacket away too so I don't have to look at it anymore. Then the dreaded moment came; having to go on the website and use up the VIP points I I never wanted, and that by the way have no basis in actual value?!?! I could get a $99 outfit for a $59.99 VIP point (you get one point for 59.99) OR a $12 bra?!?! Please. Further, these much touted "outfits"?!?! Who throws these things together? They are mostly designed to look like mismatched workout clothes for women who want to pretend they're busy and just threw together some separates. Fableitcs is saying "to all you women who just can't figure out how to dress yourself to pretend you're fresh out of a workout, just wear these, Honey. There. There." Pathetic. I look through each and every "outfit" the customer service lady convinced me so effectively were worth me not deleting the VIP account and monthly charge. I couldn't find 1 (one) outfit that I looked at and made me think "hmm. There's an outfit!" Fabletics is targeting a uniquely vulnerable cash conscious woman who wants to look like she spent 200 dollars on athletic gear and to hook her a monthly subscription. Horrible. I deeply regret getting involved with this company and have 1 (one) t-shirt i like.
