Am so happy that I chose Mark to replace the windshield in my Audi A4. The story goes like this..... A minuscule chip at the bottom grew into a 4ft crack across the entire windshield and there was no alternative than to replace it. Mark came to my house, completed the repair on the driveway and I was thoroughly impressed. Worthy of special mention is that when I called the Audi Seattle dealership, they were the ones who recommended I call Mark - he does all of their Warranty and repair work. BRIEF REVIEW - Mark does an excellent job. Use him to fix your windshield. COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW - I got a chip in my 2012 VW GTI Windshield which quickly turned into a 12 inch crack (quickly as in chipped on the way to work and was already cracked on the way home). I called my insurance and they said they had a special rate with Safelite at $372. I had a $500 deductible with no glass coverage so figured I'd shop around. I called my VW dealer and asked them who they used and they told me to call Mark. I called Mark and this is what I got: 1) No immediate response on the phone but a prompt and courteous call back. (Mark is basically a one man business) 2) I received answers to my questions without any up sell. Mark took my Vin # to get the right windshield options. 3) Mark quoted me for OEM glass at $572 and his next best but what he still considered quality glass at $378. We discussed the pros and cons and I went with the non OEM as Mark enquired about the amount of freeway driving I do and the potential to get a chip again which for me was quite high. Again no up sell. 4) I mentioned the Safelite price and Mark informed me that when you call your insurance and there is an option for glass, you are connected directly to the glass company who then sells you their inferior glass. (Safelite is basically a windshield wholesaler that installs glass at the lowest price point). 5) I arranged an install date at my work (can come to home too) which made life really easy and Mark turned up on time. 6) Mark went to work right away and he was impressively careful yet speedy with the whole process. He chatted as he worked and quickly popped off the rear view mirror, trim pieces, windshield wipers and cut out the windshield. He then removed all the old adhesive and prepared the surfaces. He has all the right tools including a powered caulk gun (Dewalt made it and now I need one because I'm a man). He installed the new windshield and told me to let it sit/cure for half an hour because the passenger airbag uses the windshield as support in a crash. Who knew?! All the trim, wipers etc were swiftly and again carefully reinstalled. 7) Mark vacuumed my interior and wiped surfaces as he went whilst he waited for sealants and primers to cure etc. and took great care of my car through the whole process. 8) The completed job took about an hour and basically looked like new OEM glass. I asked Mark what the differences were and he told be the VW logo in the decal/etching and a very slight cosmetic difference in the very top of the windshield which is barely noticeable. 9) Mark took credit card payment and printed a receipt in his truck which was nice and convenient. (He will work with insurance if need be) Mark is very knowledgable about the business and has been doing it for almost 30 years. If you have a 2012 VW Golf GTI, or any VW really, he is an expert in replacing glass. I wholeheartedly recommend him. He is also very personable and careful with your vehicle at all times. Mark was highly recommended by Matt's Greenwood Auto. I drive a basic Honda civic that's about 16 years old. 5 years ago, a crack formed and grew across the entire windshield. I decided it was time to have the windshield replaced before the whole thing shattered. I gave Mark a call and scheduled my appointment. Mark's service is outstanding. He came to me, even though I don't have off street parking and live in a crowded neighborhood in the city. Took about an hour to get the job done while I relaxed at home. Mark is one of those people who is guided by integrity. He uses only quality products and cares deeply about installation quality and safety. Do you want your family driving around with a substandard windshield that could hurt them in an accident? Of course not, and Mark doesn't want that either. He came to my house today. Watching him work is sort of like watching an old world craftsman. He makes everything look easy -but it isn't. The way he lays the bead of adhesive around the perimeter of the windshield is remarkable. Quickly and perfectly done. Yes, he takes the time to vacuum your car, wipe things down, clean the glass, strip out the old adhesive (some places leave in the old), and prep it all with primer. He knows this business - and has been doing quality work for over 25 years. He's the real deal. Don't settle for less. Leading Edge was recommended by my insurance company back in 2004 for repair of a broken windshield, so I had them come out and repair the glass on our (then) quite new Subaru Outback. Fast forward to 2017 - our Outback was dripping some water during last winter's epic rains and we were troubleshooting sunroof drains, etc. Never suspected the windshield - until a dealer mentioned he detected windshield leaks at a recent air conditioning service. Long story short, this company has always had a lifetime warranty on the sealant/installation against leakage for the windshields they install, and once I presented my original receipt, they made good on that warranty. Mark came out himself, checked that our glass was still good (it was), so tried to remove it w/o cracking it so he could replace the leaking sealant. He almost made it, but the old glass cracked, so he installed new glass on warranty from our original mid-2004 replacement. He showed me where the sealant failure was and explained what happened. Along the way, Mark was courteous, asking the questions you'd expect for a warranty claim, and then took care of the problem. That is first-class customer service. Mark is a busy guy and after meeting him through this experience, I can see why. If he doesn't answer your phone call within 30 minutes, understand that most of his work is "mobile", where he's out where the customer's cars are, rather than at a fixed location shop. Awarded 4 stars due to original installation lasting "only" 12 years, but his services to correct the problem was 5-star. read more

I received outstanding service from Mark today. A big rock hit the windshield of our Audi that we had only had for 22 days. The dealership gave us two referrals. He promptly responded to my voicemail and was more cost effective than the other company. I ended up sitting in the backseat working while he replaced my windshield. An unfortunately event to my 2018 Audi S5 windshield and I couldn't be happier with the service provided by Mark. My insurance company tried to direct me to another company that is on their "approved list". After discussing this with the SA at the dealership and my long time Audi sales, I decided to go with Mark. Left the car at the dealership where Mark went in to replace the windshield followup by the dealership to recalibrate all the sensors. The difference is that I would have to pay first and get reimbursement from insurance company. Mark provided all the necessary paperwork for me to send to insurance company. Insurance processed the claim and is mailing the payment to me. In addition, I have toll pass, parking pass mount, and dashcam mount which Mark magically moved over to the windshield at the same spot! I couldn't be happier and it's just like the way it was, minus the big crack in the glass! Highly recommended him! read more

My insurance hired the "big box" window glass company to replace my sliding window from a 1993 VW van. They showed up with the wrong part and the installer claimed he had no clue how to replace it even if they had the right one. The glass company said the part was out of stock and unavailable and basically quit looking. I searched the internet, junk yards, craig's list and ebay but couldn't locate the proper part. I was then assigned a new insurance adjuster who called Leading Edge. Mark not only knew the difficulty of locating my part but explained why it was so difficult with VIN numbers changing the part within a model year. He did an exhaustive search and finally located 2 of the proper windows in the whole USA that would work. He showed up to my house set up his mobile shop and cleaned the old broken glass but eventually discovered the hardware was slightly different than the original so would not fit. He was truly apologetic and claimed he would keep working on the proper solution. It took a few weeks but he totally pulled thru and found the right replacement without modification to the existing frame as we thought may be necessary. Once he found the right part Mark called me giving me a window of his availability and before I could get home to meet him the part was installed, cleaned up and he was gone. Mark kept me informed thru the process and really knows the minute details that make a difference. I wish I could do more than just this review and will enthusiastically recommend him to all my VW Westy driving friends. read more
