They said their inventory was not connected to the Budget online system. They said they only had a cargo van available, which would not work for a move. We bought a new house and were moving out of the house where we had lived for 31 years and accumulated that amount of stuff. We had a crew of 5 people assembled and waiting. Budget said that the closest Budget Truck Rental where they MIGHT have a moving truck available was in Seattle (24 miles away), but we would not be sure until we actually arrived there. Asked about what recourse or a way to make a complaint and the manager and the 1-800 number said there was nothing they could do and I would have to call their customer service telephone number to make a complaint.

They sent me a text message an hour before I was supposed to pick up the truck, asking me if i could come a little later, "while doing a service inspection we noticed that the coolant was low, we are going to run this over to our service shop real quick". That was a lie. The AC was broken. I'm absolutely certain the previous customer complained about the broken AC. They go on in the text message saying, "Does your schedule allow you to pick up the truck later? Apologies for the push back, I can add a discount. I want to ensure you have a safe truck to drive". I left Seattle at 5am and was 4 hours away before I discovered the AC was broken. I suffered through 5 days of broken AC and exchanged the vehicle in Spokane on my drive back from camping. I returned the vehicle with a full gas tank both times. They wouldn't credit me for returning with a full gas tank, despite giving me the truck with a half tank. They would not discount a single penny, despite renting me a vehicle with broken AC. They did not give me a discount for showing up later. They offered a discount if I rent from them in the future. Sorry... not gonna happen... I'll take my business elsewhere and tell everyone to avoid renting from the Everett WA Enterprise Truck Rental. (update - 7/19/2024) Imagine that, they do give credit for gasoline to customers who they abuse. The bill finally showed up in email two days later after I returned the truck and there's a $100 credit for being a good customer and returning the vehicles with full tanks both times, despite being given a vehicle with a half tank. I should mention, I ended my camping adventure early because it's no fun driving around without AC in 100 degree heat, drove several hours to Spokane, switched the vehicle, then drove home to Seattle and returned the vehicle 30 hours earlier than scheduled. No credit for that either. They waited 48 hours or so to settle the bill because you can't close out a bill when you have a rental contract that's still running, without crediting the customer. What a bunch of losers.

Person opening was late. There's was another customer attempting to pick up a rental waiting as well. When opening person arrived they didn't even have the keys to open gate. They had to call someone else over. This place has poor management or employees that just don't care. Either way after the process was done they were super apologetic but I had places to go.
