Joe has been keeping my sails alive the past 12 years and at a very fair price! My 3 sails are each about 560 sq ft and used for 20 days sailing SF Bay each year, with many days at 32+ kts wind, and the sunbrella, leechline, clew, and other components appreciate Joe's attentions every 5-6 years! Joe is very personable, his prices fair, his sail loft on the SF peninsula near my home and boat in SouthBeach, and he has easy drop-off and pickup procedures. I'll be seeing Joe very soon, no doubt.

Joe replaced the UV cover on my Genoa and did a really nice job. Lots of attention to detail. He added a Velcro pocket that was not on the original sail. I will certainly consider them when I need a new sail.

I got a single sit-in kayak for one hour ($20). A staff member helped me sit into the kayak and, with a gentle shove, I was on my way into the wide open and calm waters. Kayaking offers a unique way of exploring the city that you cannot do on land. Navigate the waterfront properties, go under bridges, and get as close as you can to the birds. I stumbled upon a duck hangout near Catamaran Park! Just keep track of the time and the staff will be there to welcome you back on land. Until the next adventure!

There was a bit of a line and I can see the owners were trying to accommodate everyone they could. Because it was so busy, we couldn't get a double kayak, unless we waited ~1hr, so we went with the pedal boat. Although it was fun floating around the lagoon, it was super slow (as they are) and it made it difficult to turn around in when you get stuck at a dead end. The pricing was okay... it was $10 per 30 mins per person and CASH ONLY. I would definitely recommend an hour if you are going with pedal boat. I give the whole experience 3.5/5. I appreciate the owners trying their best to accommodate, but it was clear that the most popular option was the double kayak, but also the limited option, as others were also waiting for one of those to be available.

Last year I started to look for a sailboat, and one of my coworkers wanted to get one with me. After going to several marinas to look at boats, I really liked what Coyote Point had to offer. Not as long as a drive to SF, Sausalito, or Oakland. Completely safe and patrolled grounds. The rangers make their presence very well known, and there's a sheriff shooting range on site as well. The park charges an entrance fee, and combined these things seem to really cut down on the amount of riff raff at this marina. I wanted a place I could feel safe with my family. October 2020 the harbormaster pointed us to a great boat owned by another tenant, we made our purchase and now we reside here. The Marina bathrooms are OK, but I decided to pay the extra bit to belong to the yacht club which is really nice. After a day of sailing, it's nice to go to a heated bathroom, take a hot shower, plop down on a comfy couch to watch some satellite TV. Finally, going back to family, my wife doesn't sail, but she does like the park and the number of pokestops and gyms there. There are some downsides, but given the upsides I can't really fault the marina or remove stars. * You're pretty far south as far as a sailboat is concerned. At best you'll make it to Berkeley in a day. * There are no nearby chandleries or boat stores. No running back and forth for stuff * The Marina could use a dredging. At low tide my 5' keel is stuck in the mud.

I did call Tuesday morning and I was told that some one will call me back . I received a call back from the harbor master Robert Gardali . Who had zero manner and doesn't know how to talk in a nice civil way . He told me I am not authorized to have my boat there and no one gave me a permission to dock my boat at the marina . He was yelling over the phone giving warning to move my boat and I have 24 hours to Move it or it will be moved and disposed . He would not listen to what ever I say . Wednesday I went to the marina to move my boat , the lady at office was super nice with a nice friendly amazing smile . She gave me access to the gate . I was prepping my boat to leave , then Robert Gardali showrd up , he was calm at that time . I asked him the reason for what happening ! he told me the same thing over the phone I told him i was given a permission to bring my boat to the marina . He called me a liar and said what ever he said over the phone . I let him talk without any interruption and when I was about to start taking he started walking away . I told him I listened to you and it's his turn to listen to me . But he stared walking away me raising my voice I told him That is very disrespectful and he needs to be on the same page with his employees . The last thing he said that he has the power to move me out of the marina and walked away . I started my boat , filled up gas and left the marina on a windy rough day in the water . He has no right in his position to talk to any one like that or disrespect people . Very disappointing a clerk of San Mateo county to behave like that .

Over the course of three months, I had numerous conversations with the organizer and catering department. At no point was I told that a 25% gratuity would be automatically added to my bill. In fact, I even suggested that bartenders put out tip jars, which shows I was under the impression gratuities were voluntary. At the end of the event, while I was emotionally exhausted, I was approached by staff and pressured into authorizing gratuity payments of nearly $2,700. This was presented as a "tip," not as a mandatory charge, and I felt blindsided. In addition, the food service was disappointing for the cost. For example, I requested a taco station, which was billed at $3,750. What was provided were large wraps meant for burritos, not taco shells. The value received was nowhere near the price charged. Between the lack of transparency on gratuities and the exorbitant cost for underwhelming food service, I cannot recommend this venue. If you are considering hosting an event here, I strongly advise reviewing every detail of the contract carefully and clarifying all charges upfront.

The last time we rafted Middle Fork American was on a cold, gloomy, drizzling day in October 2019 - so we had to give it another go in warmer weather. This time around was just as memorable. Two of us in the boat ended up falling out in the water at Tunnel Chute, which happened so fast that I barely knew what had happened - thankfully, there was a nice calmer stretch of water right after through the river tunnel, so we were easily able to get back into the raft. (Thank you to our guide, Troy, for hauling me back in, and for being an awesome guide in general!) Plus this was one of the photographer spots, so the action was all captured for us to laugh about later.
