We stopped by Leafs & Grounds and really enjoyed the overall vibe of this local coffee shop! The interior is super cute with lots of different posters, a bookshelf with books you can read, games, and plenty of little details to look at. I also loved the white wall down the hallway where customers have written messages. Even their $10 posters were actually really good! We didn't really get greeted when we came in, so the service was just okay during our visit, but nothing that would keep us from coming back. I also noticed they're dog-friendly, which is always nice! I ordered the iced Ube Latte, my husband got a double espresso over ice with vanilla cream cold foam, and our kids got a lemonade and Vanilla Steamer. My Ube Latte was okay--it had a little too much ube flavor for my preference--but everyone else really enjoyed their drinks. I think I just need to come back and try something different, maybe the Vanilla Bean Latte next time! Your Cozy Neighborhood Cafe! That has a modern study lounge and indie creative space! The gal that was taking our order gave really good recommendations of what was popular and what could be good options for us to try. We ended up ordering their empanadas with a latte! I ordered the sausage empanada and he ordered the buffalo chicken empanada along with an Ube latte. Honestly, really good breakfast empanada I've had and it was a good size that we probably could have shared. The empanada was buttery, flaky and warm! We arrived here on a Friday morning during the Thanksgiving break recently. Leafs and grounds is located in a nice plaza off Fort Apache and Sunset street in Las Vegas. Southern Hills Hospital is located across the street. Parking is plentiful and accessible in the large parking lot. The modern decor is simple, cozy, and bright. Since it was that time of the year, there is a Christmas tree and decorations inside the shop which is a nice touch. The vibe is family friendly and welcoming. We ordered a cinnamon brown sugar latte and an Ube latte with soy milk. The drinks were soothing and had just the right amount of sweetness. My coffee had a nice latte art. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Leafs and grounds. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The price point of the coffee was just right. Since the coffee shop is located conveniently down the street where we stay at when we are in town, we will be back to try the pastries and other coffee drinks. read more

This place is just a hidden gem. For the venue? It's cozy, homey. They also have an awesome bookcase, like you're at home, exploring books and imagining every page of every book. Coffee? Okay, so picture this: me and my girls hit up the cutest cafe in Vegas for lunch, and it was seriously a vibe! We enjoyed a Matcha flight with rosemary citrus, cherry, and lavender that had us feeling like fancy tea connoisseurs. And the coffee flight? Cherry latte, cinnamon, brown sugar, and lavender. So I was supposed to meet a friend here but we got our days mixed up. She ended up not making our meet up. I decided to make the best of it but apparently they stop serving breakfast at 11:00am. Food was smoked salmon tea sandwiches, cream, cheese, and cucumber, tea sandwiches, two different types of scones, fresh fruit, avocado, toast with hard-boiled egg, cookies, a puff pastry with strawberry and whip, whipped cream, and a couple of other items. There was enough to even take a box with the leftovers. Trust me you won't go hungry. This was really lovely. Tea was served with lovely China, tea, cups, and tea pots. I loved how cozy it was in there and much more ma & pop style which was a nice change from the trendy cafes of vegas. they have a lot of seating and it is a very quiet place to study or work. they also have a wide array of baked goods and they rotate them seasonally. tried their jallelujaj sandwich and it was so fresh and flavorful and such a good size serving. tried their black sesame latte which was a seasonal pick, it was very rich and flavorful and the perfect balance of sweetness. was a little bummed you couldn't taste much coffee in it. my friend got their pizza empanada which was a fun twist on a regular empanada. the staff was very bubbly and willing to help and answer questions and I was impressed with how quickly the food and drinks came for being such quality and specialty items. highly recommend this cafe! read more

The seating is comfortable. A nice clean restaurant. We were greeted by nice young ladies who assisted us in making our food choices. Most of the menu sounded great. It was hard to choose what I wanted to eat. I chose the sausage egg and cheese empanada. The crust is amazing. The entire empanada was really good. I would come back to get more for sure. Decent sized as well, enough to fill you up. My daughter got pancakes and bacon. They were very good. The portions of the bacon is great! My husband got the jalapeño bacon sandwhich. He loved it. They have a menu full of food but I always come here just because of their empanadas. You may have to come earlier before they sell out but it's definitely worth it. I just get a cold brew but that's all I need. The service is as you would expect from a coffee shop but they bring your food to you rather than just calling your name out which is a nice touch. The area is very spacious where you can come here to work or just chill in the couches and talk with some friends. It's a bit far for me but I try to stop in when I'm in the area - so far I've only made it by twice but the vibe here is warm and cozy, and the drinks are well made. I love a seasonal special and this spot does them well - particularly the mint latte I had in the spring. They have a small food menu as well, and the empanadas are popular here - go early because they typically sell out by lunch time. Come with time to spare so you can relax on a couch or curl up in a chair with one of the many books or games they have out to enjoy. I was disappointed with their strawberry matcha. I would come here couple times before work since it's the closest cafe and it was good. But this time I decided to try the strawberry one and it wasn't sweet at all. I went back asking if they could remake it and the cashier looked annoyed. What was worse was the entire time, they use cane sugar not honey to sweeten their matcha. That's not how matcha lattes are made lol... I'm not sure if it was how the girl was making it but other times I had it decent. All the girl did was add more cane sugar to it, not remaking it, and it didn't do anything at all LOL so I asked if they could add honey to it, still nothing. It was so bland. When I asked them to remake the second time the other girl said it was going to still be the same so I ended up asking for a different kind of matcha instead and it ended up being a little bit better. Honestly the cashiers could've been nicer about it when I asked them to remake it. I'd say opt for a better kind of matcha and use honey instead of cane sugar as well. Came here for lunch with two of my friends on a Saturday afternoon. It's super cute and there were a good amount of spacious tables. You order at the front and take a seat afterwards. When your food/drinks are ready, they will bring it to your table. I decided to go for their turkey club and an iced black sesame latte (seasonal). Their turkey club came with chips, salad, or fruit. I decided to get a salad with it. I also decided to get one of their rocky road scones to go. I loved the turkey club! It had thick slices of turkey that was tender. The flavor came together so well in the sandwich. The salad was fresh and came with a balsamic vinaigrette on the side. I did try the scone when I got home and it reminded me of a cookie. It was good but probably not my type of scone. The black sesame latte was also very good! The latte had that nice black sesame nuttiness flavor to it. I loved the ratio of coffee to milk in their latte -- it was nice and creamy. My friends also thoroughly enjoyed their food. They both said the yogurt parfait was absolutely delicious so I'll have to order that the next time we go. We loved everything about Leafs and Grounds. So glad I stumbled upon this spot I only had 30 min before my lunch break ended and the SB's I was headed to had a Disneyland style long drive thru line. So I kept driving and was going to hit 7-11(which I actually prefer over SB tbh) for some very affordable and solid coffee. As I was driving the coffee shop sign on the plaza kiosk caught my eye. So I swung in and decided to check em' out. So glad I did! The young lady behind the ciunyer greeted me w a smile and was as cool and chill as the vive of the whole place. She took my order-Americano, hot w ST vanilla and while she was prepping it I started to explore the shop. There was a variety of seating options. Beautiful high top counters w pub stools, standard square tables and large booth on the back side. Lots of art work that looked to possibly be local. Little pops of plants and candles here and there that created such a warm and welcoming feel throughout. As for my actual Americano, it was delicious! Not too bitter no acidic flavor and she added just the right amount of Americano and the flavor of their sugar-free vanilla syrup was delightful. Kim this morning for a coffee around 9 AM in the morning. First thing I did was read the rules on the door, then I looked in there and there was a big dog jumping all over the chairs and a group of people playing with the dog in the aisle, where the cash register is. so I really couldn't get through. I turned around and walked out. For all the rules that they have and they have a dog, jumping up and down around in there a big dog at that. I won't even bother with this place. I've had the iced americano as well as the cappuccino and both were wonderful. Served in a beautiful cup (see photo). Service is wonderful as the barista and staff are so very kind. So me and my mother came here because we miss eating here. Honestly, we will most likely not be back. It was truly disappointing. I've never had a bad experience here. The drink strawberry Matcha wasn't all that either. It did not taste like water down Matcha to be honest with you the girl that usually makes the drinks when I come in was in the back cooking. The cook no longer works there which is a bummer. You can definitely see the difference in food, but that's OK. They gotta move forward which I completely understand. It's still really chill there to hang out, but the food quality is down dramatically in my opinion. They offered a new pasta salad, which we obviously wanted to taste. It does need salt. Usually everything is seasoned to perfection but this time it was not again that's OK. It is a place I will miss but I'm hoping to find another. Maybe will be back for the seasonal drinks if the other person is making them. There's one lady that makes every drink perfect. read more

This was an Australian restaurant previously so I was surprised it was gone but businesses can change at the stop of a dime. I wanted to grab a quick drink, a tea, so I stopped in. Decor looked the same as I recalled from the previous spot but that's ok. It's cute. They had a seasonal tree, Easter themed which was cute. I considered food but I wasn't real hungry and the prices were a little high but it's a local spot and inflation so I get it. I will definitely return for some scones. I had the hibiscus lemonade and it was so yummy! Very refreshing and naturally sweet from the lemonade so I appreciated that. I finally made it here. I've always wanted to try it since it opened. I used to frequent the old business that was here and was sorry to see them close. BUT...Leafs and Grounds is wonderful!!! I can see myself stopping by after work to do some catch up with a delicious beverage. The hubs and I stopped by since we had the odd day off together. What a great place to start the day. We got a scone and breakfast empanada. We saw some lukewarm reviews on the empanadas but decided to try it anyway. It was good!! Nice golden brown flaky pastry filled with sausage, eggs and potatoes. What's not to like? The other choice was bacon. I tried a lemon blueberry scone that had a proper crumble texture and was filled with whole blueberries and a bright lemon flavor. I would get that again! The drinks were very tasty as well. My hubs loves London Fogs and he enjoyed this one. You could taste the Earl Grey and there was a light vanilla sweetness to it. I decided to try the strawberry matcha from their Spring cafe menu. I would get this again as well. The bottom of the glass was filled with real strawberry purée and the top was matcha with oatmilk. The matcha is on point. It's a little grassy, but not bitter at all (the way I prefer it instead of presweetened weak matcha like some other coffee places serve). To sum it up...total win!! First time and it certainly won't be the last time. Went here with my son after our gym session. He got the lavender honey tea which was absolutely delicious, and the Turkey pesto sandwich to go. We ended up staying so he could eat because the place was cute and the food look great so he couldn't wait until we got home to enjoy it. I got the cinnamon and brown sugar specialty latte. It was a bit too bitter for my taste. Next time I'll try the other flavors and see which ones I like best. I couldn't resist bringing home their house made vanilla bean sauce. Going to try it in my home made coffee drinks and baking adventures. The staff were all very friendly and all had amazing hair!
