We got to try the Hojicha and the tiramisu latte, both were absolutely delicious! I loved learning about how the drink was meant to be enjoyed, and I love that THEY have thought about the small details that make a big difference. The space is open, and bright, and I loved being able to get some work done while looking at their beautiful roaster- since they get to put that baby to work while they roast their own beans in house! I got hooked right before they unfortunately had to temporarily close from upstairs water damage, but I await their return as I know the whole community does. Couve Specialty Coffee is a masterclass in craft and intentionality. I spent three hours here catching up with a friend and was impressed by every detail. The space is very comfortable to sit and relax with a few tables inside, a coffee bar area, and a couple of seats in the front. There is also a plethora of outdoor seating for days when the weather is nice. The inside feels very minimalist and sleek, and the music was lo-fi/edm. I really enjoyed the music, which wasn't overly loud for those working, studying, or talking with friends. The matchas were delicious. I had an iced matcha latte with regular dairy and a seasonal iced strawberry matcha. The drinks are all handcrafted and I particularly enjoyed them because they were not overly sweet. The matcha drinks had a really good, deep, and clean flavor. I spoke with the owner who told me that all of the ingredients in store, with the exception of the pasteurized milk and oat milk, are handmade. That quality was most apparent in the strawberry syrup which did not taste artificial and made the drink very bright and interesting. Another small detail he added regarding the strawberry syrup was that it was also strained to remove seeds. This is a very thoughtful detail for mouth feel and for those patrons who may not be able to ingest seeds due to dietary restrictions like diverticulitis. The baked goods were phenomenal. I tried the pistachio scone and a matcha cookie. Both pastries were soft and flavorful. Even with flavors that can often be light and subtle, they came through and again were not overly sweet but perfectly balanced. I took a tiramisu latte to go. I was worried about the ice melting and watering down the drink before it made it to its destination. The owner told me that they use cocktail grade ice which melts more slowly to ensure drinks are not watered down. I found this to be a really thoughtful detail in their drink crafting. I would definitely return to try more seasonal drinks and baked goods. I had been passing by the big sign outside The Gramercy for Couve Specialty Coffee for at least a few weeks before finally making it in. It's right off the I-215 Russell exit and I always saw that huge sign when we were in the area for appointments. It was a matter of time I'd finally try this place out! The parking is convenient and right outside the coffee place within a spacious lot. You can also access the coffee shop from the inside courtyard area on the opposite side. Upon walking inside, the first thing I noticed was that the vibe is very sleek and minimal, almost industrial, and they're always playing music that complements the look well. Service is great! Questions are always happily answered and I've always felt welcome in there, even with both my kids. The first couple times I tried this place, I thought the iced matcha was pretty good but not my favorite. It had too much going on with a cream foam and whatnot. I prefer a standard plain matcha where the quality of the matcha powder carries itself. No need for extra distractions. I thought this specialty matcha was the only matcha they had for a bit and actually decided I wouldn't go there anymore because of it. I figured since it was so expensive and I actually preferred cheaper versions elsewhere that were simpler, it didn't make sense. But I found out later, when I decided to try the place out again after a while when I was in a time crunch because of its convenient location, that this was actually their speciality matcha! The person who took my order this time I returned clarified that there was both a standard and specialty option. I was actually super happy to hear that. Not only did it taste way better to me, but it also saved me money. I will note that since they charge extra for the oat milk and sweetener, it all adds up, and the matcha still ends up being on the pricier side here. But I do actually like to come here more often now that I know I don't have to get all that sweet foam and stuff in my drinks anymore! Finally tried Couve earlier today and we were very pleased with our experience. Upon walking in, we were greeted by the beautiful aroma of coffee they roast on site and the barista offered us a friendly welcome. Since it was our first visit, she walked us through the menu and even shared some details about how everything on the menu is made in house, with the exception of the milk options. My husband chose a macchiato, which he said had a nice subtle flavor and low acidity. I opted for the signature Couve Matcha which is made with a specialty rice milk, their house-made french vanilla syrup, and topped with a sea salt cold foam. I don't typically order vanilla matcha lattes since I make a pretty great one myself at home, but Couve's matcha was lovely. The rice milk added a unique flavor and the quality of matcha they use is of high grade and offered a subtle sweetness to counteract the bitterness matcha typically has. They do also offer house made cookies & scones, but we didn't try any this visit. I loved the very minimalist and clean décor. It felt upscale, yet welcoming. Seating was comfortable. There are also 2 gender neutral restrooms, both minimalistic, including lack of a mirror which I kind of liked. Parking was also ample. The matcha cookie was overcooked in my opinion and tough to eat. This could be a personal preference but I like my cookies softer, not hard. I really appreciate that they don't use seed oils and gums in their products. The ambiance is odd in the store, but it makes the place unique. My friend accidentally spilled some of her drink and they didn't have napkins so we had to sit there until they had a chance to use a towel to clean up the spill. I saw this new cafe on social media and was excited to try it but ended up being disappointed. The drinks are overpriced and the quality was just alright. $1 for a splash of syrup is very pricey as well. We got the Couve matcha and hojicha which were $9/each. The matcha has a cream top and their house made Tahitian vanilla syrup. Simple syrup isn't an option here. They serve it in a 16oz cup and all I tasted was milk and vanilla. It definitely needs more matcha for this big cup. The cream top goes away after a few mixes so I couldn't really taste it. The hojicha was too milky as well. Couve offers drinks made with high quality ingredients and much attention to detail, however the outcome is an expensive product with average taste. I've tried two of the lattes over two separate visits. The Foster and the Tiramisu Latte. The coffee is quite smooth with low acidity and no harsh bitterness. But the drink is very milky and does not have a strong coffee flavor, and just tastes watered down once the ice starts melting. I'm sure it's high quality coffee, but it's hard to tell as the coffee flavor is diluted by the milk. Service is very attentive. They'll take the time to explain the menu and background of roasting coffee and meticulously make your drink (which can make the wait time quite long if it's busy). They personally walk and deliver the drink to you which is a nice touch making it feel very craft or artisan. The employees are friendly overall, however it somehow feels a little ingenuine and comes off a little forced. Not so much welcoming coffeehouse vibes and more like art gallery. This somewhat aligns with the decor of the place. It had a very modern aesthetic, very white, clean, and minimal. Their coffee roaster is on display and they have a couple seats. The drinks are quite expensive, which I don't mind paying if the product justifies itself. They use high quality cow milk (or substitute koji oat milk), roast the coffee fresh and use a good espresso pulling technique, use nice ice cubes and house made syrups, however I guess the execution is not quite there flavor-wise. I really want to like this place and will probably give it one more try to get their matcha or hojicha or even try the coffee black and scones. The Foster Latte -- 3/5 * Supposed to taste like a bananas foster, but the flavor is extremely light, just a whisper of banana essence with some sort of cold foam topping and overall not much flavor of anything else characteristic of the dessert, like caramelized sugar. The banana lattes at Asian-inspired coffee shops are much better if you're looking for this type of drink as they usually use homemade banana milk. Tiramisu Latte -- 3.5/5 * Mostly just tastes like a vanilla latte, with a very light natural vanilla flavor. There is some sort of tiramisu cold foam or cream topping which adds some creamy richness but does not taste like much. Very milk-forward. It's topped with cocoa powder and ladyfinger cookie powder, but the ladyfinger powder also is quite flavorless and doesn't add much to the drink other than some texture. First and foremost, these 1 star reviews that pop up are useless, one little thing you don't like and you try to take down a business. Everyone thinks they're a foodie now and either hit a 1 star because EVERYTHING was not perfect. They crave sugary coffees, not the actually coffee flavor. Assuming the polite lady was the owner, she walked us through the menu and described the drinks that caught our attention. The Foster & Tiramisu were great drinks, light flavor BUT more importantly the robust from the roast of the coffee was amazing. If you understand a proper coffee, this is it. The flavors are there to lightly COMPLIMENT the roast of the coffee flavor, not take over. When you exhale out your nostrils you should taste the roast of the coffee which in very detail has put a lot of work into perfecting that roast. We also purchased the cheddar and chive scone was AMAZING. The saltiness and light crispy of the scone was delicious. The inside was soft and had perfect saltiness every bite. Priced on par or higher than Coffee Class or Mothership, onsite machinery suggesting Couve roasts its own Beans, guests are invited to choose amongst limited options including several Matcha based beverages while "Cold Brew" is unavailable aside from Espresso shots over Ice "Americano." Serving Cookies and Scones, rotating flavors of the later tasty but falling short of Leafs and Grounds in terms of texture, the Pistachio Cardamom Cookie stands out with obvious Nordic influences but it will nonetheless be interesting to see how well this concept fares with growing competition and most folks willing to settle for Starbucks just a few yards away. read more

The first thing to know about this place is that Couve is going for a "luxury coffee experience" -- they roast their own beans, use a special water filter for best quality drinks, and even use cocktail ice that melts slower. But they didn't tell me this when I visited, it's what I found out when I looked them up online ahead of time. The vibe is stylishly minimalist but not particularly welcoming (all hard seating, no wifi or outlets). I also found the music at the register a little loud so it was hard to hear the staff explaining the drink menu - it's a simple list but they do have more options they'll explain orally. Apparently you have to ask? That being said, their Bananas Foster latte was such a treat- super smooth and not too sweet. With tax, tip and regular milk it was like $11, which is steep. If they take the time to welcome visitors and explain the extra touches they do to put out a superior product, the pricing will probably go over better, particularly considering there's like 5 other coffee shops in a 1 mile radius. Not necessarily related to the customer experience but I find it super odd that they have a social media presence but haven't bothered to engage with their audience or even comment a simple "thank you" to any of the accounts that have posted about them to help spread the word about their opening. 1. $9 Couve Matcha: matcha + Koatji (rice fermented oat milk, online says "Oat & Koji Rice Blend") + tahitian vanilla syrup (made in house) 2. $11 Mont Blanc: orange juice & peel + long island black (americano) 3. $5 Espresso Cafe aesthetic is very clean and minimal, we really loved the placements of their lights! Bathroom is clean and minimal and even no mirror. Drinks were beautifully presented and they took much care explaining the contents of each. I would definitely ask questions about the contents of each drink before you order! All of their beans are roasted by their own roaster located in the corner and syrups are made in house. They mentioned their sugar content is much lower than other cafe places which is a really nice touch. I was a bit disappointed in my Couve matcha, for such a deep green color there was barely a hint of matcha flavor but a much stronger milk taste. The Koatji milk tastes just like oat milk was maybe too overpowering. For $9, you're more paying for the price of the milk. Mont blanc was a really cool concept to be made with orange juice. Here the individual flavors are strong and distinct but blend beautifully together. Only thing we didn't like was the pulp but we prefer pulp free orange juice so this is more personal preference. Espresso, however, was incredible! Very acidic initial flavor and but spiced aftertaste. Quite strong and deep. I definitely recommend you try this to just try their beans. Cafe concept is cool and worth a try. For the drinks we got today I don't think is quite worth the price, but it really depends on what you think is worth. Not sure if I would come out of my way to come again but I might take a friend just for the aesthetic. read more

Ambience is chill, very quiet, very aesthetic, almost feels like you're in a museum. Only con is not a lot of seating available. I ordered 4 drinks to go & while waiting I asked for a cup of water, since I was parched from wandering around looking for the place in our lovely 100+ degree weather. The guy told me it was $1 but was super nice about it and I got it free as a one time courtesy. Matcha was good, Staff was friendly. I'll be back to try more of their drinks and hopefully I'll remember which side it's on. read more

I came here a few months ago pretty early in the morning at opening, and it's located in a really nice plaza that has a lot of parking available. The shop itself isn't too big, and I felt like the seating is more for casual social settings and not much for studying. The employees were really nice - I was trying to figure out what to order, and the worker helping me gave me a lot of recommendations! I ended up ordering the Tiramisu Latte because I wanted something kinda sweet and that's what they suggested, but it was a bit unmemorable for me, apart from remembering that it wasn't as sweet as I thought it would be. I would like to come back again if I happened to be in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back especially given the prices of the drinks here. I love the vibe of this place, but the flavors need work. The staff is very intentional and genuinely cares about your experience. The interior is beautiful and minimalist. That said, this isn't a place to study or spend hours working--the tables are small, and the chairs aren't very comfortable. The menu is beautifully crafted with lots of options, but I think the flavors need more attention. The Couve Hojicha was very bland, which was unexpected, especially since the ingredients are so intentional and carefully measured. I've been checking out Vegas coffee scene for so long that I might as well own a coffee shop at this point. I saw on social media a few people I follow check this place out, and I was super excited. The space was previously occupied by a different coffee shop know as cuppa. The inside has been completely reworked into a super minimalist style shop, with nice decor and the roster taking center stage upon entering. The attention to detail is definitely amazing. The menu is also very minimalist, with very few of the overall drinks on the menu. I opted to go for the their take on the Vietnamese style coffee, and also the tiramisu latte. The Vietnamese style drink was good, bonus points because they have a koji oat milk. It was a little fermented in taste which added a nice contrast to the sweetness of the drink. The espresso by its self was excellent. Very sweet, almost syrupy in texture and taste. It was one of the best double shots I've ever had. For me however, the tiramisu latte did not taste as Good as I was hoping. It was good, but it lacked sweetness in my opinion. They were kind enough however to remake the drink, and the one we got instead was the bananas foster latte which was good. Overall couve is a pretty nice addition to the ever growing Vegas coffee scene. I will say the prices are much higher than most shops, but they are committed to the luxury name and so I can sympathize with that. I'm excited to see where they go read more

I came here one previous time and love the minimalist look of the place. The coffee was ok and $10 at that. Decided to give it another shot yesterday and woah the coffee was way better. They said they were updating the menu which I thought was a good move. I got the Oaxacan latte and I can easily say its one of the best in Vegas. Strong coffee flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. Also I did notice the price point is more comparable with other local shops. Will definitely be coming back! read more

Love the minimalist aesthetic here. Very clean and quiet spot. I got one of their matcha drinks, and it was really good not overly sweet, just how I like it (especially compared to matcha spots). I also tried their matcha macadamia and dark chocolate pumpkin bread, which were both delicious. Just note that the prices are a bit on the higher side since it's more of a luxury-style café. I still have yet to try their coffee which they are known for. read more
