This is my favorite healthy restaurant/cafe on island. HUGE portions. Their tacos and great, and my favorite is the baja bowl. I used to get it after pt every thursday. I ordered the surf taco which would have been fine, except that the spices were a bit too hot for me, and I didn't much like the sauce. The main problem is no indoor tables. True, there are outdoor tables at Manoa Marketplace, but most were in the sun without shade umbrellas and the few others were occupied already. Great spot to grab a vegan breakfast/lunch or smoothie in Hawaii Kai. The whole menu is vegan which is great so I don't have to think about what I can and can't eat. My wife's favorite spot for her favorite salad - Rannowp Bowl no rice. It's power packed with all sorts of flavors and textures. I go to the Leahi Health in the Manoa Marketplace whenever it is more convenient than their Kaimuki location. Ample parking as it is a mall. Strictly a takeaway eatery but Manoa Marketplace has tables for dining on both the east and west ends. If you're vegan/vegetarian, Leahi offers affordable food that tastes good...good enough that regular consumers will find most tacos or bowls tasty. They offer some 20+ smoothies. Manoa just started featuring a special: Chocolate Salted Caramel Smoothie. Salted caramel is a trendy flavor and this was quite good; the drink having almond milk, oats, cacao, banana, amongst a few other ingredients. Maybe not as healthy as other offerings but it was good. They will offer different specials not available at other locales. Another current special is the Lentil Curry, which I intend to try. The breakfast tacos were super big and flavorful served on soft and warm pita bread with coconut bacon, tofu scramble, avocado, and tomatoes. I only wish it had a few more tomatoes because the acidity really brightened the dish (there was only 2 halves per taco). The green monster smoothie is also a must get. It has almond butter that tasted so pure and clean along with other healthy ingredients. There is no seating inside, but Manoa marketplace recently renovated and has plentiful seating. It is a little pricey, but on Thursdays they have special pricing. I like the acai smoothie with granola in it. It is all blended up, so you don't have chunks of granola. But I went walking through their different restaurants after ordering L&L for my wife lol and I came upon this place, I wasn't in the mood for katsu and I wanted something healthy. I've seen their business around Aina haina in Hawaii kai so I was curious. Last time I had something vegetarian was Wholefoods and that cost me $30 for the same amount of food I ordered here. One bowl here cost me $11 to $14 and it was even better than Wholefoods. Lemme tell you something, if you want something healthy, consider this place .I'm not an expert or anything on vegan places but I'd recommend this place if you're feeling guilty about eating junk food beforehand, or if you want a healthy option, come here! I'm not vegan or one of those people who love spirulina or wheatgrass shots. In fact. I usually walk right past this place because the menu doesn't really excite me. I had tried a few smoothies, some of their acai bowls, and even some of the food in the past and it was very healthy but just ok (to me). That's because I didn't find my favorites: PURPLE RAIN SMOOTHIE & BACON MUSTARD TACOS ONE DAY this guy was walking out with a purple-looking smoothie so I asked him "what is that?" And he looked me in the eye and said "PURPLE RAIN. It's the only smoothie I get and it is FABULOUS!" I walked right in and ordered one right there. He was right. It's fabulous but it takes so long to make and I don't like to wait because then I'll be late for my appointment. That's when I discovered you can ORDER ONLINE ahead of time! Highly recommend ordering at least 20min ahead. I've done it several times since and that is the best! The bacon mustard tacos kind of was a surprise to me and I don't even know what's in it, it's coconut bacon (?) and kale (?) something with avocado and almonds. My friend always posts about the food at Leahi Health so I was so excited to finally give them a try, especially since this foodie life often involves ~not so healthy ~ food a lot of the time they're located in Manoa Marketplace and the inside, although small and super cute. The workers are all very friendly and the food came out much quicker than I expected. We found an open table outside and the worker brought our food to us. The Rainbow Bowl that I got was delicious! There was a generous portion of kale and brown rice and the balsamic dressing wasn't too overpowering. The hummus had so much flavor and i liked the addition of blueberries to add sweetness and almonds for a crunch. My friend's Surfer Bowl had a nice & creamy ginger tahini dressing, and the mock tuna was also delicious (and I much rather prefer it over regular tuna!) I always go protein style, add tofu and hot sauce -- for any of the items. My food faves though are the breakfast tacos and the kale bacon, and my favorite smoothie is the Morning Mana (add ginger and mint). The rewards points program is rad and they do great "days" (eg Taco Tuesday). The only thing I'm not fond of though are the (incongruently) ultra conservative views posted by (presumably) the owner to their social. (Minus a star). They said really inappropriate things about Chinese people during the Pandemic. I'd rather just enjoy their food/drink and not get into politics. read more

I was really excited when I saw that Leahi health was coming to manoa. The parking is so easy because it is located in the shopping center next to Kay's crackseed. We ordered the rainbow bowl, beet poke salad, and pesto pita pizza. The rainbow bowl was a lovely and refreshing bowl of greens and vegetables over a bed of rice. The dressing so creamy with some tang so there was a myriad of flavors in every bite. I was pleasantly surprised by this salad. I was a little disappointed in the beet poke salad. While everything was fresh and mock tuna very nice, it didn't have the wow factor like the rainbow bowl. It was almost too tame for the beet poke and maybe just overly oniony, like it wasn't soaked in salt before being put in the salad. Lastly the pesto pita pizza was quite a disappointment. It was very bland from the avocado to the pesto. And for $5, I would have rather made my own. However, there are a lot of things going for them. The location is great for an after hike or park day. There isn't any other place in manoa that serves vegetarian/vegan like food only. And their prices are pretty comparable to other vegetarian/vegan places.
