    Roast beef sandwich

Amazing Local Gem for Sandwiches & Smoothies If you haven't been to Andy's Sandwiches & Smoothies, you're seriously missing out on one of the best hidden gems in the area. I stopped by today and was blown away by how fresh, simple, and perfectly made everything was. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and a smoothie, and honestly -- it tasted like something made with real care. The sandwich was stacked with fresh lettuce, crisp sprouts, carrots, and tender roast beef on soft wheat bread (made fresh). Every bite had that perfect mix of crunch and flavor. Nothing soggy, nothing bland -- just clean, fresh ingredients that make you feel good after eating. The smoothie was just as great: cold, refreshing, and not overly sweet, the kind that actually tastes like real fruit instead of syrup. The shop itself has that classic local vibe -- friendly, welcoming, and the kind of place where you can instantly tell everything is made to order. It's exactly the kind of small business worth supporting. If you're in the area or passing through, do yourself a favor and stop here. Perfect for a quick lunch, a healthy bite, or a refreshing drink. I'm already planning what to try next time. Highly, highly recommended!

It's been a while since I've been to Andy's... no reason.. but today we were headed to Fighting Eel so Andy's was a perfect place to stop for a quick lunch My niece and I decided to split a sandwich and smoothly... yup! It was perfect. The sandwiches are so full of goodies, half a sandwich was perfect!...and we also split a protein shake. Yummy and nutritious Can't beat the friendly service at Andy's. He and Norma have been serving sandwiches for so many years and I pray they continue. Parking in the back.

We were driving around Manoa and wanted to get something to eat. We parked in the back of Starbucks. I wanted to get a drink. While I was in line to order my drink, my husband disappeared to Andy's to grab a sandwich. He returned with a hot pastrami sandwich $10.99. It had pastrami, cheese, lettuce and sprouts on whole wheat bread. He did not want the tomatoes and carrots. It also came with papaya seed dressing. This sandwich was outstanding and it was huge. I took off the toothpick holding the sandwich together. I opened the sandwich and poured in the small container of papaya seed dressing. It was messy. I had sprouts and dressing dripping all over the place. However, it was so worth it. Yes, the sandwich was that good.

    Heads-up for next week, Andy's is closed 6/8 - 6/10. Reopen 6/11/2026

When it comes to sandwiches it HAS to look like this!!! I can't believe I haven't been here because this sandwich was a 10/10! I got their hot turkey and mushroom sandwich. It was only 9.99 and it had turkey, mushrooms, sprouts, lettuce, carrots and cheese. And the best part, they give you papaya seed dressing on the side to put in your sandwich. It was so good!!!! The workers are super super nice and friendly. It's like a mom & pops restaurant. They were the sweetest. So you pay for your food and wait outside because the inside is not that big. No eating area inside. Take it to go. I can't wait to try more sandwiches and go back.

Its been a while since we were last here. Took the kiddos to hike up Manoa Falls and then stopped here to grab some lunch. Short wait before we were allowed inside. Ordered an acai with bananas, smoked ahi and avocado, hot pastrami, and guava and guava cream smoothies. Food was ready fairly quickly. Although we ordered just bananas on the acai, there was granola added too. Kiddo said it was ok. The sandwiches were filled with lots of sprouts and the bread was fresh and soft. Kiddo devoured his hot pastrami. I always order the smoked ahi - just wished there was a little more added to the sandwich. Also, it's all about the guava cream smoothie - so yummy!

Andy's has been fueling me for 8 years and after a long hiatus off the rock I haven't been able to get my fix for a bit given it being so far from where I'm at. When my side quests took me near Manoa this was a gimme. Despite it being so long the menu hasn't changed much despite me forgetting what I normally order haha. Ended up going for the hot turkey mushroom which per normal Andy's fashion was packed to the gills with all kinds of stuff, was super clean and yet flavorful. The papaya dressing was copiously applied and it easily elevated the sandwich to sweet yet savory which was nice. I had to get my iykyk guava crème smoothie which has never hit better after what feels like forever ago. Consistency for me is key and this has never missed not clumpy and never runny. Andy's remains for me a staple of the rotation and will be for yours if you haven't already added it.

Brunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... I tried to take my dentist to Andy's Sandwiches and she said it's takeout only. She said it's such a great small business because everything is fresh, good, generously portioned, and the prices are reasonable! I told her that I could never find Andy's Sandwiches & Smoothies. She said that it's across from Manoa Marketplace, next to Starbucks. Oh... i was looking for it at Manoa Marketplace... LOL! Note: They have a free parking lot in the back... and street parking. Tip: go early because as I was leaving, it was kinda crowded The interior is a cozy, no-frills type of place. Go up to the counter, place your order, and take your bill to the cashier by the door. You can add some pastries to your order there. The nice auntie at the counter will find you and bring your package to you. When I got home, I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwiches. They were wrapped in foil and topped with parchment paper and napkins. The Eggplant Melt and Roast Beef/tomato/avocado/cheese sandwich were messy because they were stuffed with veggies like sprouts, lettuce, and carrots. Each sandwich half had a toothpick to hold everything in place. Also - the papaya seed dressing that came with the Eggplant Melt was spot on! It made the sandwich "moa bettah"! (More Better) This is an excellent local business that has been around for years! Support them if you can!

I've been coming to Andy's since I was a little kid, but have not been back in years. I recently stopped by and was so pleased to see that nothing has changed. The quality is just as amazing and the menu is the exact same as it was a decade ago. Though as expected, the prices are slightly higher. I ordered the turkey, avocado, tomato cheese sandwich, and a guava smoothie. For the two items my total was about $20, which is pricey for the small amount of food I got. However, the sandwich is amazing. I love that they use real turkey meat pieces and not deli meat. The guava smoothie is also super yummy and sweet, but not overly sweet. I really love that they use real fruit! The owner, Andy, said that they took away their inside tables during COVID, so if you're looking for a place to eat your sandwiches, you do have to walk over to the outside tables by Safeway across the street. All in all, this is my favorite sandwich shop though it lacks ambiance to sit down and enjoy your meal, it is a must try if you've never been. I highly recommend coming here, you are supporting an amazing local family and business.

When I think of my perfect sandwich it's Andy's Ahi melt. Smoked ahi (not canned tuna), with mushrooms, tomatoes, melted cheese, sprouts, carrots, lettuce and papaya dressing. It feels nostalgic and homemade but that smoked ahi and papaya dressing really elevates it to something you can't get at home. Andy's Sandwiches & Smoothies is located in Manoa. There's street parking or a shopping center across the road but you will have to walk a bit no matter what. The poke place always has a long line and when you order here, they'll ask you to wait outside while it's being prepared-- so don't let the people / other line deter you from coming here. Andy's is known for their sandwiches but they also have smoothies, pastries, and breakfasts. I haven't been here for breakfast but have heard good things. I do love their guava cream smoothie-- it's the perfect sweet treat. I love this hole-in-the-wall spot in Manoa, I wished that I lived closer so I could come more often!

I haven't been to this place in a few years. I was running an errand at Manoa Marketplace and was actually in my car about to leave when I suddenly remembered Andy's! I also realized I didn't pack a lunch today so I turned off my car and ran across the street to get the Tuna & Avocado sandwich which was my old favorite. Still is!! Highly recommend this place for a meal that will fill you up and also make you feel good and healthy!

First time at Andy's Sandwiches & Smoothies and we'll definitely be back to try all the sandwiches! We stopped by around 10:30am on a Tuesday and it was not too busy. Parking is limited so we did park across the street at the shopping center. If it's your first time, just a heads-up: you'll want to head to the sandwich counter in the back to place your order. They'll give you a little paper slip to bring to the checkout counter up front, and after you pay, you'll wait outside and they'll bring your food out to you. We tried the ahi, tuna, and pastrami sandwiches. Each one was really good on its own. Super fresh ingredients and soft bread. But what really took them up a notch was the papaya dressing they give you on the side. Definitely recommend adding that to your sandwich because it adds a slightly sweet, tangy kick that goes really well with all the veggies.

Had a glass of wine and baby had watered down lemonade. Her drinks were put in plastic cups with covers and those horrible paper straws. Eyes always bigger than my stomach, we ordered: - Cornbread - when i grabbed it I thought would be super dense but really wasn't. I thought it was very corny and tasty. Lightly toasted. Honey drizzle which wasn't too sweet...or maybe I just ate the parts that didn't have. Baby ate almost 1.5 pieces and even liked the Jalapeno Butter that I just dabbed on her bread. She said wasn't spicy but think she just didn't have enough. - Bone Marrow - lit it on fire to burn off the alcohol. Pretty sure it ddin't get it all so I cut baby off once I realized it. Other than needing some salt, really good. Choke mushrooms on top. One half was scrawny, but hubs had the other half for leftovers and choke marrow. YUM. - Sunchoke and Brussels - YUM. Baby ate some but was not really thrilled about it. I loved it. - Scallop and Mushroom Risotto - YUM. Delish. Baby liked it too. So much leftovers of everything. Realized when we ate it for leftovers it was all pretty oily and needed a pinch of salt. But otherwise great. Staff really nice and helpful. Love that the place is spread out and open. Bathrooms are not assigned which I'm sure can get gross, but is great to not have to wait for just the women's. There is a big stall which was perf since baby is potty training and had to go #1 and #2! Only thing missing was a hook to hang my purse and her bag. The Duck Confit was yummy! I thought the duck was going to be super dry, but when you eat it with the jam that came with it, it's very good. I requested for a little bit more of the jam but was given just balsamic glaze... My friend said her scallop risotto was watery and not the same as the last time she went. My bfs prime rib was okay. Bone marrow was okay. The chicken pasta, octopus appetizer, salad, and mac n cheese were lacking flavor and tasted okay. I would recommend dining here if you do not have plans after.
