Unfortunately, a previous property manager hired cheap painters who didn't prime and used the wrong kind of paint. The result was peeling paint in every room. The "emergency" came up because the peeling paint on the ceiling in the kitchen got so bad recently that it started floating down into food when I was cooking! Gross and a health hazard! When I reached out to Manhattan Painting Peter did an estimate and got it back to me and the landlord very quickly. The landlord hadn't yet committed to having the place painted, but Peter reached out to me anyway. I had mentioned to him that I was hosting Thanksgiving, and he had remembered that, so he asked if I wanted him to come take care of scraping the ceiling so I wouldn't have to worry about paint in the food. I was given the okay and Peter adjusted his busy schedule to accommodate me! He was here this morning- quick, efficient- left the place almost cleaner than it was before he started and now I'm excited about hosting Thanksgiving. The broke windows while installing some of the cabinetry and have the broken glass held in by duck tape! The new glass has been sitting along with other fixtures that are needed to install.. The worst contractor experience we have had in 50 years.

On Friday, Robert came to install the new toilet that I ordered from HD. He too was amazing; super competent, with mad plumbing skills and a personable nature.
