The old baked potato was unappetizing and hard to want to eat.
    DJ O.

The food was terrible and unappetizing; the chicken was rubbery and hard to chew, the baked potato tasted old, and the chips and queso had a odd flavor like a lunchable. The service is not that much better than the food as they would barely check on us. The setting is odd with couches and random decoration.

Mostly finished brisket melt, sorry, I was too interested in the food and didn't take a pic first.
    Heather J.

The food was delightful and very filling! The waitress was so sweet and very informative as we made selections. She told us ahead of time what they were missing (Covid delivery sucks as we know) so we could make a choice on food. We ordered the brisket melt with onion rings, loaded fries with pulled pork and queso and chips with brisket. The food was very good! The queso is not spicy for this wimp (too much black pepper can burn my mouth). Next time we are in town, I can totally come back here!

Botero Tapas + Wine Bar - This giant, amazing albondiga (meatball)

We went wandering around Boerne and always park in the lot next to Botero. We always say, "we…read moreshould go there." Well, we finally decided to try it out, and we're glad we did! I love the industrial vibe of the place. It was a rainy Saturday and the place wasn't particularly busy, so the service was good! Our server was friendly and knowledgable about the menu, and the food, while small in portion size (they are tapas, after all) was delicious. We started with the tostadas de chorizo and the house sangria. Both were super tasty. Then we ordered the chistorra (Spanish sausage) and pan con tomate, and finally we shared the albondiga...a giant meatball that was perfection. Can't wait to go back to Boerne and have some more Spanish goodness!

Our friendly young male server suggested a new Portuguese beer that just came out. It comes in a 4-pack, 6.8 oz bottles with convenient pull-tabs & on a bucket of ice. We went for it! Not bitter, light bodied & easy to drink. We savored the ambiance in the outdoor patio as it FINALLY cooled down to the low 70s! We were given water in a carafe and 2 glasses. I'm sensitive to the taste of municipal tap water so I should've asked if it was filtered water? You'll have to ask for ice cubes if you want ice. Our tapas were the scallops ceviche tostadas(2 tortillas holding them) & a flatbread with Serrano jamon, sliced pears, melted brie, onions & drizzled balsamic glaze. Hubs liked it but I thought it was lukewarm & skimpy on the ham. The cheese wasn't gooey & cooled off. Was slightly gamey to me. He loved his scallop ceviche tostada. The restaurant wasn't very occupied but our server said it gets pretty packed in the evening esp. when there's live music. More people came in when we were almost finished eating. We ate outside because they must have just disinfected & mopped the floors because the inside had a super strong chemical smell. Lots of metal tables and chairs in the patio.

This upscale-ish restaurant is located in the Elian Hotel at La Cantera. We picked this place for…read moreRestaurant Week because we wanted something new. We were greeted as soon as we entered. Valet is complimentary when dining at the restaurant. That is particularly helpful in this cold weather. When we entered the restaurant the dining area was empty. There were a few patrons at the bar but no one at any dining tables. Maybe a sign?? The reviews on Google and Yelp are all over the place. The decor is nice but the seating is a little outdated and worn. I can understand this, though, because I am sure they get a lot of family traffic being a hotel so close to Six Flags. Our waiter, Robert, came right over to take our order. He was friendly and personable. The Restaurant Week menu had two choices for each course, so my friend and I ordered everything so we could try it. First up, the appetizers were poblano and corn soup or heirloom tomato salad with blue cheese. The soup was delicious but was not very hot temperature-wise. The salad is a beautiful idea, but the tomatoes were just bad. They were out of season, mushy, and tasteless. I love tomatoes, so I was disappointed. Next up entrees. My friend had the braised short rib with beans and rice. I had the Redfish with rice and green beans. The short rib was excellent, but it came out at room temperature. Considering we were the only ones there that was a red flag. My fish was seasoned well, and I enjoyed it, but it was room temperature also. Is there a draft in the kitchen? Other reviews mentioned their food was not hot so it seems like a trend. For the amount you pay, the food should be piping hot when it comes to the table. Finally, we got to dessert. I had the creme Brulee cheesecake and my friend had the campfire dark chocolate torte. The desserts were delicious with no complaints at all. This place has a lot of potential, but there are too many restaurants in San Antonio, so you have to make a positive impact on your customers, so they want to return.

He was professional, courteous, and all things consultative in relation to the menu. ALL of our needs were met and the conversation was great when he could spare a moment. We enjoyed the classic wedge salad, the classic pizza with pepperoni, and the tangy & crispy wings which were both beyond satisfying. I'd encourage all to stop by for a visit. Feel free to request Hector. We will definitely be back when in the area. Served well, Joseph & Jocelyn Reynolds Canton, GA

I had never heard of it before and decided to give it a shot... and I'm really glad I did. They've only been open 12 weeks so they're still pretty new, but you wouldn't know it. It's a Latin restaurant with live jazz and Latin music and the atmosphere is really something...it feels like a proper night out the moment you walk in. We ordered the paella and it was really good. Generous portion, a lot of protein, and we had no problem sharing it between the two of us. The drinks were good, the service was prompt, and the prices are fair for what you're getting. What really touch my heart was this older couple that got up and started dancing during dinner. It was such a sweet moment and honestly just added to the whole experience. San Antonio doesn't have many places like this and I really want to see them stick around. If you're looking for a good dinner with great food and a fun atmosphere, go support Tinto y Tapas.
