I had a huge nail in my tire and when I arrived I was assisted so fast. $20 to fix. Can't beat that!

TL;DR: This shop overtightened the lug nuts on our car, resulting in the wheel studs breaking off. My husband took his car in to have the tires replaced a few months back. We wanted to support a local shop instead of a chain, and this place fit that bill. Today, he went to another shop for a tire realignment, as his steering wheel was vibrating. That shop told him they couldn't remove the lug nuts since they'd been overtightened, and we'd have to take it back to Leal's. Back home, he tried to remove the lug nuts, and experienced the same issue--they wouldn't budge! It was so tight that the lug nut broke on one of his wheels, which is a direct result of them being overtightened at Leal's. I'd expect a place that specializes in tires to know better. When we went to Leal's during their listed business hours to see if they could fix it, the shop was chained off and closed with no mention of their hours or if they were just closed for the holidays. Their helpful sign mentions that they aren't responsible for damage or defective products, which isn't the most heartening business strategy. We tried calling them before driving out, but we got a generic "mailbox is full" recording. How can a business not have a message with their hours at least? I see other reviewers mentioning the same thing, so I guess we should have researched a little more thoroughly. I'm sorry to report that we won't be returning here or recommending this place to others. read more

I literally just called and the rude lady asked for the tire size and kept on saying it was the wrong tire size and literallyyyyyyy just hung up completely without saying anything else. One thing I've noticed with bringing the various cars throughout the years is that they're smart about the work that they choose and choose not to do. I have to agree with the previous reviews. Awful customer service and extremely dishonest. I purchased from them 4 new tires, and after a visit to Discount tires, I was shown one of them was not new and was falling apart. Another one was new, but it was an off brand tire , which they didn't mention when they sold them to me. If I could give this place a 0 rating, I WOULD! They tell everybody the same story to spend more money that they don't even need to spend. We came in to get a patch on a tractor tire & without even advising us. THEY PLUGGED the tire & charged us $45!! The plug came out the next day so I took it to Leal's on 969 & got it patched for $18. I drove back to the 290 location to confront the manager. She stated that she could not patch my tire because of the bad condition of the tire & said that Leal's Tire on 969 must've needed the money! Simple, honest, careful service. Their establishment is small, mostly outdoors, but they do good work. I brought my BMW 5 series here for a full mount & balance, brought a set of tires with me from Tire Rack, and they did exactly what I needed. I also required a wheel be replaced and they pulled the center cap and TPMS sensor off to have as spares. Don't expect them to have a huge selection of tires, they're too small for that, but they do take great pride in their work, so if you pick your tires carefully like I do or need a flat repair, this is a great place to use. read more

I got a surprise flat on Sunday night (love that Austin construction) and had my bf put my spare on. I knew I couldnt ride around with it, and was researching my options. Bf suggested I try Leal's so I stopped by first thing on Monday morning hoping they could patch it up. I pulled up at 8:23am and one other person was being helped before me. I explained the situation to the female attendant and she said she'd have one of the guys see if it could be patched. By 8:44am I was driving away! They found the issue, patched it up, put the original tire back on my truck, and mounted the spare back underneath my truck in 20 minutes. And the cost? *drumroll* 10 DOLLARS!! I am officially a customer for life. Update: the day after writing this I was driving and heard a strange sound from the back of my car. Pulled over and checked it out and saw my spare dangling on the line. Obviously it wasnt secured properly. That's why I deducted one star. I do not leave a 0 star cause it's not an option. Tire tech managed to stripp not 1 but 2 studs on the same wheel. I was afraid I was gonna loose my wheel on the road when I left that place. When I approached my vehicle to check the work, tech immediately pointed to a sign "not responsible for any damaged caused by their work". Instead of attempting to remedy or at least apologize this "extremely rude owner/manager lady" came over very defensive, she refused to speak with me and asked me to leave. By the way I'm an aircraft technician and I drive a classic restored vehicle, I know how to properly install a tire on. Those 5 star reviews must be family and friends and not legit. So I had a flat tire last night on 290 just 5 minutes from this shop. I looked them up online and seen they were open until 6:30. I took in my rim and a new tire, I pulled into the driveway and he started yelling at me to leave.. I can't even get out of my car and he's yelling! I do not live in Manor, or maybe I'd be able to give Leal's a chance at redemption. My daughter had a dance recital at the Manor High School auditorium, and I managed to acquire a large chunk of metal in my tire on the way there. Upon discovering this I immediately consulted Yelp! for a decent tire shop in the area, seeing as how it was almost 6 o' clock and I needed to get somewhere fast. A few closed at 6, but I was very pleased to discover that Leal's was listed as 6:30, and was only 2 blocks away from me!! Sad ending: The guy comes out as I walk up and tells me that they're closed. When I show him the listing that clearly displays the closing time as 6:30pm he points to his boss across the parking lot. When I ask him for a quick patch on my tire he tells me "no, closed". To which I reply "you decided to close early today? My wife and kids are in the car and I'm about to be stranded in Manor overnight". His eloquent response, "no, closed" was almost enough to set me completely over the edge, instead, I'm writing this. This post is about my experience from about 3 weeks ago..If you want some cheap ass Chinese tires this is your place. They don't offer any thing of quality or name brand tires just used cheap ass tires with 30 day warranty.. I found out the hard way. Just go somewhere and buy good tires and you'll thank yourself later. Cheap isn't the way to go with tires after buying two tires from them they blow out a week later. They tried selling me some cheap as Chinese tires after I politely said no I would rather have a well known tire like Firestone, Michelin or Goodyear but they told me that they didn't have any and that it would be expensive.... Stopped by Leal's last month to take a look at my tire with 3 nails in it. I was told by Discount Tire that I couldn't patch the tire since it's a run flat tire but John at Leal's told me otherwise. The tires are still in great condition for my car and I wasn't prepared to shell out another $250 for a new run flat tire. John took care of the tire in less than 20 minutes and for a fee of $18! Stopped in because my tire light was on. They offered to fill it up for free. Ultimately, we found a nail--within 30 seconds the tire was off and they began repairing it immediately. No "Discount Tire" double talk about an irreparable tire and "need all 4 tires replaced" even when they are 2 months old. They were honest, efficient, and super friendly. I would have rated at "0" stars if had the option. I have a commercial business and have used Leal's other locations on several occasions. I have never had a problem. I used the services from the Manor location - TOTAL NIGHTMARE! An employee had a flat tire on the way to the office and the Manor location provided their services. Upon completion, they informed us that they do not accept credit cards like the other locations do. My contact at another store phoned the Manor store to vouch for me and infomed them that it would be paid by 5:00 the same afternoon. The entire experience from the beginning was unpleasant. I felt as though Leal's was doing me a favor by taking care of my automobile needs. The conversations with who I presume to be the owner, were always rude. I went to the location to pay for the service and attempted to explain to this "business man" that rudeness was totally unneccessary and was told, "Just pay your bill and I do not care if you never do business here again". No need to worry about that ever happening! I would terminate any employee that ever treated a customer the way I was treated. Do your blood pressure a favor - stay away. read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone. My boyfriend bought a used tire from this place and within 2 weeks it started losing air. They gave him a bad tire and refused to replace it. The owner stated that they didn't have anymore tires to fit his car and didn't know when he would get any. Tires is your business how can you not get tires. After giving us the run around for 2 weeks, the owner suggested him to buy a new tire which was $100. A waste of time and a big get over. read more
