Leanne was the perfect choice for what I needed. I was in Oakland for my second ceremony on 12/8 (smaller) and needed to have my hair and makeup done for the occasion. After deliberating, I ended up going with Leanne because I loved the fact that she had a quick response time, was willing to work with me regardless of the fact that she had another appointment set for that day. She actually arranged to have the other bridal party start at 5am in order to wrap up with her associate and the party and make it over to my area (due to a lack of a car, I was unable to make it over to her) and gave me estimates on arrival time throughout the process. I was able to have her arrive at around 10:15am in order to be done up and ready by 12:30pm. I basically told her that I wanted to look a bit glamorous (not too much makeup) and wanted a slight curl in my hair to offset my hair clip, and she came up with the perfect look without much direction. She was able to conjure up a look in no time that was elegant, simple, and actually was what I was hoping for! I was also in a bit of a bind as I didn't have any of the original bridesmaids present for this small ceremony and needed assistance with actually putting on my wedding dress, she actually stayed with me to help me put on my outfit and snap a photo or two for me. ~I found Leanne through Yelp when I was looking for someone to do my hair and make up for my girlfriend's wedding as her bridesmaid.I had my hair and make up trial by a different hair and make up stylist but was not happy with the result. BUT, lucky for me, Leanne saved the day. I found her at the last minute, literally the wedding was on a Saturday and I found her Monday. ~ We did not to a trial. She was very accurate with answering emails and texts. We did a phone consultation since we were not able meetup before she requested to send pictures of my hair and face without make up which helped her on the day of the styling. ~I mentioned to her that I have breakouts and also I have a lot of imperfections on my face; she then suggested that traditional foundation may not work, she will need to use air brush. ~Throughout the process, I felt very comfortable with Leanna. She made sure to be very careful, precise, and genuinely cared about the exact look I was going for. She used airbrushed and omg! my breakouts and imperfections were covered up without having that heavy, cakey feeling that I felt when I had my trial with my original make up artist. ~She added a complimentary eyelashes to finish off my make up. She also advised me on using my own make up to do touch ups if I needed to during the wedding. Another thing that impressed me about Leanne is that she also gave advises on what I could be doing wrong on why make up was not staying on all day, my eye brows are too thin and that I also need to pay attention to making my eye brows pop more. She even offered to give me make up tutorial in which I will take her up on it. ~As for my hair, love love love the curls,it showed off the burgundy color of my hair.
