Having done both myself I will just say that there's a reason I now donate everything to CCA. Since it's been so long since I last attempted to sell anything to them, my rating only reflects the buying experience. First of all, the store is massive. Although the majority of their inventory is clothing they also have shoes, accessories, baby gear, and toys. Everything is pretty well organized making it easy to find exactly what you want. For example, clothes are grouped by size, color and type. And, for the most part the merchandise is in good condition. Occasionally I have come across a hole, tear or stain, so my advice is to to thoroughly inspect each item before checking out. Unfortunately there are no rock bottom prices to be found here (you'll have to go to Thrift Giant for that). In fact, most of the stuff isn't a whole lot cheaper than the new version, with the exception of some higher end brands here and there. I have actually found better prices on certain brands when they're on clearance at the original store. Another recurring theme in the reviews here is the rudeness of the employees. It makes me wonder if this place is fully staffed by ex-DPS workers! I guess I should consider myself lucky because I have miraculously somehow avoided their surliness. Maybe it has something to do with my earlier statement about not selling stuff to them anymore though.

Today I made a huge purchase of tons of items and had a nice talk with the lady ringing up my items. I should've gotten her name but I did not. She was very pleasant to talk to and friendly. I'm happy with the quality of the items they stock here. Many are upset about these stores being picky about what they buy from you to sell but I am actually very thankful for that because I don't have to worry about the items I find here having large stains or holes. I go multiple times a week sometimes and there are always new things. I'm very pleased with my experiences here. One of the best once upon a child stores I have been to.

The previous store felt way too big and overwhelming. This new store was well lit anond very organized. The store is very inviting and cozy, and the layout makes it easy to find whatever what you are looking for. The employees were friendly and informative, and you can tell that they are proud of this new store. The employee who helped me check out, even took the time to explain their free rewards program, and her help was much appreciated. The new location also has much easier parking, with plenty of spaces just outside their front door. Whether you're looking for a good book, the perfect gift, or in my case, a new puzzle, the new Barnes & Noble will make your shopping experience a very pleasant one.

Had 2 coupons. both were $10 off $40. asked to buy half my merchandise 1st. and use coupon. then buy rest of merchandise with 2nd coupon. i would save a grand total of $20 and Kohl's would make $200 off the sale..she refused to split my transaction. noting "only one coupon per customer, period" my response: ok ill buy these items (half) and then put the rest on hold with customer service. leave, get lunch and come back. then ill use my 2nd coupon. THIS IS WHAT BLEW MY MIND (i was a retail manager for 7yrs and this stunned me) she said "no you are still the same person" it got worse. she felt the need to tack on to the end "..and i'll tell the store not to do that for you cuz you are still the same person and its one coupon per customer!" things got interesting when i 1. informed her i called customer service prior to my visit and they said its not a problem (corporate customer service number) she declared she doesnt care what cooperate says she is saying no and thats it. i asked what would be better for them. should i leave and not make a purchase...she said YES! i repeated. i should leave and NOT spend $200 in this store and give another company my $$ over $20 in savings?? this time she insisted that my money wasnt needed.................... ....what? the phone call the proceeded WITH corporate was interesting. that lady was exceptionally friendly and just as baffled. two coupons on ONE transactions are a no no but she couldnt even grasp why this manager wouldnt allow me to split my large purchase into TWO transactions. or leave and come back. how is that not discriminating against an individual. basically it was her discretion and for whatever reason. idk maybe she had a bad morning but she was sour. idk who hires managers that tell $$ to walk out. did i mention i was buy school clothes and my 6year old was very confused as to why mommy couldnt buy his school clothes. there were other customers in line too! how embarrassing and rude. a lady caught me in the parking lot and said she heard whole thing (was on opposite check out) and she wont be shopping at that location after she saw her treat me that way. she offered to buy our stuff but that wasnt the point and her support was enough.

Three different employees helped us find things and also pointed out a misconception we were having about one of the products we were trying to buy, which was GREATLY appreciated. They have some fantastic options for stocking stuffers or small gifts if you're a big fan of micro-giving like I am (like at the office or just a little basket of thanks or congrats gifts)- anyway I enjoyed my experience at this well organized and well stocked store. Everyone loves anything from The Container Store! They have consistently offered excellent quality…read moreitems, friendly and helpful team members and a few sales sprinkled in. As luck would have it, I decided to finish out some built-in kitchen cabinets with Elfa sliding baskets, sadly without the Elfa sale happening. Since this built-in sideboard has a 17" depth, I am limited in my choices. I was greeted when I entered and I wanted to just walk around and see what was new since my last visit at another store. Another team member followed up and she was very helpful in selecting the rolling baskets we needed to match what we installed over 10 years ago. I don't know why we didn't do them all at the same time, but it was probably cost prohibitive at the time during our kitchen remodel. We made our way up front to the checkout counter to wait in line, but our sales lady was able to scan and tabulate and finalize our purchase right in our cart! Pretty cool! We didn't need any bags so we were on our way in no time! My receipt was emailed to me and we went home and installed the rolling baskets within the hour! A great feeling of organization and accomplishment!
