A friend recommended coming here to go "squishy hunting" which is all the craze right now for littles. They had such a wide variety of different squishies. While they were out of stock of the popular NeeDoh brand, they did have dumplings and a variety of other squishies. I was impressed with the selection and quantity of squishies compared to other stores. They also had several other toys and a make your own slime bar with beads and jewels to add. It's a cool little shop for kids but it was very crowded. Also, the lines to check out were a bit confusing as some families were in line only to look at the products they were passing out behind the register & were not ready to check out. Overall, my daughter walked out with 3 new squishies and was a happy camper. read more

Went to purchase the viral dumplings as they were out last week but we bought other items. upon returning I asked for ten and was told I could buy six. I asked to speak with the manager and the number dropped to four without any explanation what happened to the six moments prior. The store has no postings of a limit. I bought the four. My daughter wanted to buy for herself and friends and the manage intercepted rudely and had to call back the "owner" who was already called for me. This was an embarrassing experience and was not done with any profess business practice. I do understand having a limit BUT it was not posted as people a rushing in not being questioned as daughters and parents make separate purchases. I'm a teacher from out of town and was so excited about coming to your store to shop for my classroom.I have been to many of these franchise stores and never got treated the way I did today!! My husband and I entered the store no greeting .. I started to fill my basket then I noticed 2 young ladies at register chatting.I couldn't believe my eyes the one girl with black hair was sitting on the counter . I made my way to the back where I finally heard them say hello to my husband . He came to me and said I'm leaving since they are just so helpful here NOT!! I stayed shopping a little longer until their conversation became known not for a kid store . I put my stuff away and left unhappy because I really wanted the stuff but could not interrupt what was going on at the register. read more

Love this place, it's been the go to for my girlfriends shopping for her brothers kids the last few years. Lots of variety of toys, learning stuff, lots of games and just fun toys and crafty things and a good quality but not huge book selection...good quality stuff for all ages. Love that they can wrap it for you, makes it so easy! Most of the employee's have been nice, wouldn't say that they were all super knowledgeable or overly warm, but they've been helpful and that's all I can hope for it in any retail store these days. They also seem to do a good job of keeping it fresh, like I'm not seeing exactly the same thing every time, but I also don't go more than a few times a year. After eating next-door at outback we decided to stroll around and ended up in the store. It is awesome. It reminded me of when I was a kid and I would wander the aisles of Toys "R" Us for hours. Staff is awesome, selection is amazing, much bigger inside than what it looks like on the outside. Pricing on some toys are higher than what I've seen in other places, and some is pretty much the same as other stores. However what you don't get online is the satisfaction of supporting local business as well as the human connection. Also they gift wrapped anything you buy for free. Not a cheap gift wrapping either. A legitimate color schemed, ribbon-included gift wrapping. We walked in there just expecting to look around, and ended up buying a bunch of toys. I just went in there to get my nephew and son some toys. Was not greeted by both employees in the store and when we asked to see an item that was on top of a shelf one employee looked all around and was unable to find one on the floor. So I looked to the side, saw a step ladder and got it myself. The second employee, the woman who seemed to be in charge, finally came over and said can I help you. I said no I finally was able to get it myself, and she grabbed the step ladder out of my hands and said, actually it's not ok. Neither employee was helpful, could not answer questions, were both rude and both happily lost a sale to amazon! I decided to stop by Learning Express Palm Beach Gardens when I saw on social media that they were doing a Squishmallow restock. They posted that they had highly sought after items. In addition, they said "if you're there in the morning you have a really good chance!" in response to someone asking how much stock they had received. I waited outside the store for 5 1/2 hours for the opening and was the 9th person to enter the store. When I walked in, I looked for the items that were advertised and they were completely out. As I was looking around hoping to find some, an incredibly rude female employee (seemed like a manager) was trying to rush me out of the store before I could even get anything. One of the younger employees saw me looking and offered to look in the back to see if they had any left of what I wanted. I was able to get my hands on only one of the many items that was advertised. I didn't even have time to be excited because of the same employee STILL trying to rush me out of the store even though I wasn't ready to check out yet. I totally understand wanting to publicly post about a restock, but it is unfair to lie about how any items that are actually available. I feel bad for the people that were in line behind me because most of them left empty handed after waiting for hours. I can get over a miscommunication regarding stock, however, I will never be returning to the store because of how nasty the woman letting people in and rushing them was. I'm not sure if she hates her job, hates people, or both, but a customer should never be rushed when shopping. I was in the store no longer than 5 minutes total including checkout time. I would reconsider coming back if that lady either leaves or gets her attitude in check. The younger employees were super nice, helpful, and handled the rush wonderfully. read more

BUYER BEWARE! they do not honor their return policy. The owner was very rude and made it clear he could care less about my business and on top of that the owner's wife, who I encountered first at the register, rolled her eyes and didn't want to be bothered when I tried to return a Quadrilla Whirl and Twirl marble tower. I purchased it on sale at 40% off but still paid a total of $85.59, the toy said 4-year-old and above, however it has too many little pieces and was not stable at all, my son was way to frustrated to have any fun so I decided to return it the next day. The 40% off sale sign nor the receipt did not say no returns on this product, so I figured it would not be a problem. The next day I took the tower back with the receipt however as soon as I asked for my money back an employee stated that final sale items could not be returned but did say I could get a store credit. I asked for her to show me that policy on the receipt or sale sign and she said she couldn't and would need to call the owner to authorize a return, after the call to the owner she said they could not return it and I replied that wouldn't work for me since that policy was not made clear or is it in writing anywhere. The employee asked me to return in a couple days as the owner was out of town, so I came back 3 days later. When I walked in and went to the counter the owners wife asked me if she could help me and I said yes, I wanted to return this and an employee said I had to wait for the owner to get back, so she rolls her eyes in what seemed liked disgust and said he wasn't in the store so she would have to go in the back and call him...I waited. She comes out of the back after a couple minutes and said the owner will be here in a few minutes, 10 seconds later the owner appears at the register, fastest man on the planet! You know when you tell if someone doesn't even want to deal with you, well I could tell, the owner would barely look me in the eye and asked, what can I do for you? I stated again I would like to return the toy and he said no. I said the store policy per the website and receipt clearly states returns can be made in 30 days with a receipt and nowhere on the sale signs did they state that this was a final sale with no returns. He then changes to a different policy and states that the store policy is not to accept returns if they are not in "re-sellable condition" and apparently opening the package constitutes an item not being able to be resold. I though he was joking because he said it wasn't in the original packaging, so I said this is the original packaging and I didn't paint the box to look like the original box! The guy could care less, he basically wouldn't return it unless I would take a store credit on Friday and then on Tuesday when he was in the store he said it was in unsellable condition because we opened the box, even with all the original parts. Needless to say I was pretty mad, we have shopped at this Palm Beach Gardens Learning Express for years, even though they are usually well over-priced when compared to other stores in the area and online retailers. I did get mouthy which I shouldn't have but the guy was flat out rude and clearly doesn't care about keeping customers, he only cares about keeping the customers money which really ticks me off. And here is the kicker, I called another learning express and told them I purchased a marble tower that was too complex for my 4-year-old, we opened it, tried it but would like to return it for a refund. The employee on the phone asked if I had a receipt and I said yes, we have the receipt, but we did open the box, she said sure we can return it for you!!! So I guess I learned a very valuable lesson, don't shop at the Palm Beach Gardens Learning Express! Learning Express in Palm Beach Gardens is owned by Jim Arpe, I can honestly say I will never shop at that store again. I was and still am so shocked by the owner and his wife's attitude towards a customer, he flat out said he would not take it back because he couldn't resell the toy, he said he couldn't resell the toy because I opened the box! read more

I visited this toy store for the first time today with my mom, sister, and 19 month old daughter. My daughter was the only child in the store. The store had a children's shopping cart and my toddler pushed It and filled It up with the toys she liked. It was a great opportunity for her mom, aunt, and grandmother to figure out what to buy her from Christmas. Apparently, the children's toy store was not happy with a child acting like a child while there and an employee approached my daughter and told her she "had enough in her cart." After being approached by the stranger, she started to cry. I don't understand why this employee didn't approach one of the 3 adults with the child,instead of approaching a 19 month old directly. I had a coupon and planned on buying a toy for my daughter who recently had emergency surgery and was hospitalized, but left after the employee approached her. They had a good selection of toys, but I will not be returning. It is absurd that a children's store would take issue with a child being a child. And even more absurd that they would approach a 19 month old! read more
