It's perfect for our small living room, however the decades had taken their toll. The seats had lost the cushioning and were uncomfortable. The leather was super dark in spots from years of body oils, and faded very light from two decades of sunlight exposure in other spots. Somehow, we found Phil, and his five star reviews here on Yelp. I had a great experience working with Leather Pros. I had recently purchased used factory seats for my car that had some wear from the previous owner. Damage to the leather from daily use and what looked like negligence was what I got when I bought the seats. Me wanting the seats to look as best as possible now that they're in my car, I had searched for several auto industry shops, but most did mainly reupholstry, which ends up being much more expensive compared to restoration work on existing material. To be fair, you'd get 100% new material with reupholstry, but given the impacted area, I didn't feel like spending upwards of 1000.00 to fix my issue. I then looked at leather specialists and found Leather Pros. Hoping this company would entertain my request, I reached out to see if they would work on my car seats, since most reviews were of home furniture. I was happy to find that my seats would be reviewed and I was given a ballpark estimate over the phone after providing pictures of the damaged area. Soon after I scheduled an appointment to have my seats worked on. The work done was well beyond my expectations. With any kind of restoration work, you're likely to anticipate less than 100% of the original quality. I was very impressed to see that the damage is almost impossible to spot now. You couldn't tell it was there unless I point it out. The rest of the seats also got a cleaning even though my primary request was to just fix the area of damage. I would say the repair would be over the 90th percentile of quality for my seats. The quality and customer service was definitely top notch. Leather Pro Hawaii did a wonder job replacing the faux-leather seat cover for four countertop height vinyl stools (two fixed backless stools and two swivel stools with a back) that we brought over 13 years ago. The existing vinyl started to peel over the years and the "dandruff" got worst and worst. We were reluctant to just throw away the chairs since they were generally in good condition and comfortable to sit on. Also, my mom really liked how the stools looked so we were hoping we could find a honest, qualified upholsterer to do the work. So thankful we found Leather Pro Hawaii on Yelp. My husband and I have a massage chair for approx 5years and the "imitation leather" was peeling. Phil did a excellent job restoring two 30 year old Italian sofas that I was about to donate after I bought new replacements. Now I'm using one of them in my family room just in time for the football season. Phil only repaired the items that were necessary and clean and conditioned both sofas. Leather Pro Hawaii charges an inspection fee of $70 plus tax to determine if the work requested can be done. Well worth the inspection fee. My black Italian leather sofa bed had been splashed with drywall and paint all over due to the contractor not covering it up while performing work. Entire sofa bed needed to be thoroughly cleaned followed by recoloring with black dye and sealing. Multiple scuff and gash marks over the sofa particularly on corners needed to be repaired. Also, a black leather chair was covered in drywall dust and flecks of paint. Needed to be cleaned, recolored and sealed. Phil restored my furniture to look great again. Excellent workmanship. First of all, Phil is the nicest & most competent tradesman you will ever meet. What a great guy! We have a cloth-covered recliner that we love that had become uncomfortable due to years of wear. The covering is still in good shape but the support was no longer there. Phil agreed to help us even though his work is mainly with leather.
