Loved this place. A hidden gem on the island especially because of the location. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. People were so nice as well. Ambiance was ok but they have nice outdoor seating. More local than touristy which was nice. Would highly recommend. read more

Good coffee and great service.The prices are in line with the rest of the island, everything is takeout, however, there is some seating in the front. There is a park nearby with benches. This cute coffeehouse and Mediterranean cafe (interesting combo!) has a counter where you order, a window seat where you can sit, and a few tables outside. We had the falafel bowl and chicken shawarma wrap. The wrap was huge! Shawarma had a very nice flavor, and overall it was good but there were potatoes in it, which was unexpected. (Looking closer at the menu might have helped, since they are listed! LOL) The falafel bowl can come on rice or greens. I chose the greens, so it made it more like a salad with 3 falafels on the side. They were very tasty but not as crunchy as I'd like. The accompanying pickles and sauce were very good. I haven't tried the coffee, but have it on good authority that their cappuccino is delicious. read more

I went to Catboat for breakfast. Since I started the morning with fresh ground coffee on my boat, I came here wanting breakfast. Being diabetic a standard carb heavy does me no favors. I ordered the breakfast bowl. Many flavors from fresh salad mix. Pucklike eggs were lost in delicious salad mix. The island can be tricky when it comes to finding really great food and coffee- Catboat has both and so much more! My husband and I maintain a family house on the island and frequent it throughout the year. When Catboat first showed up, we were excited but didn't want to get too attached. They've pulled through and we are SO glad they have!! First things first, their coffee is incredible! So smooth and delectable! My husband likes the drip coffee and I'm a cold brew fan! Next, breakfast sandwiches; we dream about these in the off season; amazing! Another favorite are their shawarma wraps. They are all crazy delicious! That's another thing- the smell in here is the most tantalizing adventure; it's mint, its spice, and it's warm and inviting! They have a case with to-go goods, pastries + sweets, and cheese. Great new spot in the Tisbury Marketplace. Only a few minutes away from the ferry terminal in Vineyard Haven. Make it your first stop when getting to the island or your last stop before heading off. Excellent coffee drinks and a flavorful Lebanese inspired menu. Plus, a fun grab-and-go case and pantry provisions that would make good picnic fodder or gifts. I went to Catboat Coffee for the first time yesterday afternoon. I was very hungry, but my intention was simply to get a coffee (I'd heard about their great coffee) and grab a snack until I could get home to eat a meal. Having never been there, I was surprised to see a delicious Lebanese menu. First, I ordered a cortado (coffee), which was perfect. Then I asked for a chicken shawarma sandwich, grabbed a large portion of baba ganouj from the cooler and ordered a fresh pita (baked there). The shawarma sandwich was large enough for 2 meals and that was my plan. But it was so scrumptious that I couldn't stop. I saved the baba & pita for later and both were fantastic. Baba ganouj was freshly made & beautifully seasoned and the pita may have been the best I've ever tasted (and I've had plenty in my many decades and travels). The service was immediate and, even though I arrived just before their fall closing time, friendly and patient. Finally, the space is clean - absolutely spotless, actually. I live a half hour away, but I can't wait to get back there. read more

Very good spot, pastries are excellent and the breakfast flatbreads are really great as well. Cappuccino and latte were served burning hot, milk was completely scalded, undrinkable, burnt tasting by the time it cooled down. Yes, as a full-time island resident for forty years, the option to have a good morning capuccino is welcome. I must say now that Catboat is in their second (or third?) year of business the ole Vineyard "captive audience" pricing seems to be kicking in. Not only was I disappointed to learn that their "Barazik" tahini cookies were not made at the shop but this year they've shrunk to little more than quarter-size at a cost of $7 for ten...light as a feather. A definite turnoff but with hopes that they will stay true to their made-from-scratch ethos on other items and will work on keeping their prices within reason. read more
