I ordered the Ledo deluxe pizza to in the 14 inch to go. I was told it would take 20 minutes. I left and when I returned in 15 minutes my pizza was ready and cooked to perfection. I go into the Ledo's in Bowie,Md off of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and pay for a 18" pizza. I take my receipt from the gentleman and ask how long. He tells me 15 minutes and I take my seat with my boys. While waiting this Yong black lady, I later find is the manager, tells me that she doesn't see my transaction and I will need to pay again. I tell her I have paid and show my receipt along with notifications from my phone and bank account app. She says that she must go to the back and see if she can see the transaction some where else. She comes back and ask for the last four of my card number. I give it to her and she goes back. When she comes back she tells me that she cannot see my transaction any where and I will have a pay again to get food which I already paid for. I say that this is not right. She has seen all receipts of the money leaving my account. What she should do is try to figure out the computer issue she is having and give me the food I paid for. She says NO! That's not how this works. I ask to speak with manager. She says she is the manager. I ask to speak with the franchise owner. She says she doesn't have one but I can call corporate but they are closed on the weekends, with a smirk on her face. And then she walks away from me. I ask are you walking away from me. She says that she is getting something but I can't continue to talk. I show the cashier the receipt again and I say this is not right. I tell them that they stole money from me. She then comes back on the phone telling me to leave or she is going to call the police. I tell her that I will call the police because you just stole money from me. I have been coming to Ledos for years and have never been treated like this ever. That manager needs better training or needs to find a new job. I'm sure, with the way she was acting, I was not the first customer to deal with her ignorance. She is a poor representation of your company. Food: 5/5 Service: 4/5 I absolutely love Ledo's pizza, though all locations are not made equal. I typically go to the one in Vista Gardens since they consistently have really good, top notch pizza. Almost everything here is good, and there boneless wings are really fantastic. If you're a cheese lover, I'd recommend extra cheese on any pizza you get as the regular just isn't going to cut it. I admit to having less than stellar service here once or twice but generally it's not a big issue. This is a go to spot, highly recommend. read more

Update. This place is getting worse as to restaurant environment and speed of service. There was a slight improvement with customer service so the star rating is actually 1.33 (rounded down to one). I am not a persnickety Yelper with a string of one star reviews or a griper. Look at the photo I attached of the signs on the door that basically scream "not welcomed." Those damn signs are beneath the clientele they are serving. The dining room of the restaurant is usual empty but the signs about not converting a call out order to a eat in order still abound. They have chairs on top of tables like they are closing, not at closing time but at 7:00 p.m., prime dinner time. The pizza is still the thinnest of all the Ledo's I have been to, which to me is a plus, but so think they do it to save (pardon the pun) dough. The holes in the wall are still there. The poor paint job and suspect cleanliness of the waiting area is still a problem. On this most recent, and unfortunate, visit the small waiting area had six people waiting cramped together while the ENTIRE restaurant was empty. I truly feel disrespected as a customer. With just two "check in" post I am now the top Yelper to actually embarrass myself with said "check in" to this place. That should tell you a lot. Serious Yelpers are not fans and do not return more than once. I just wanted to give the place a chance and I am stubborn that way. There will not be a third check in because I may lose my precarious Elite status by keep subjecting my blood pressure and sound mind to this shi...I mean clown show. What a sad excuse for a Ledo's. The sooner I am overtaken for this Dukedom the better. There are so many other Ledo's outlets that do a fine job with the food and customer service, just go a couple of miles away and support Ledo's franchises that seem to care. After my last two-star review the establishment contacted me with one of those "sorry we did not meet your satisfaction" messages. The management/ownership seems clueless...they are not meeting anyone's satisfaction! You are averaging two stars over the life of the restaurant and probably one over the last six months and that is only because one star is the absolute minimum we can give. Add in some of those presumptive zeros and watch how your rating would decline from its already abysmally low heights. I thought I would never see the day when a Ledo's location (in its founding home state and county no less) would ever average the low average this location has absolutely earned and seems to want to maintain. On December 23 of this year I purchased a $100.00 gift card for my granddaughter for a Christmas present. When we went to get a pizza December 28th we were told the cashier did not know how to redeem the gift card. Therefore I had to pay with my credit card. I contacted the day manager (Stacey) and shared the story. She apologized and after several minutes on the phone I shared that I purchase several 18 inch pies 3 to 4 times a week for my daycare. I requested a complimentary pizza and she explained she could not meet this request and at that point I asked that she check with her management and get back to me. She did today 1/04/24 with the offer of a small pizza.   Tonight I ordered a half and half 18 inch pie and again was advised they did not know how to redeem the card so again I used my credit card. After living in DC For 28 years I was excited to get a pie from the legendary Ledos. I ordered a The Veg- In for 19.49. I was told that there is no cheese on the VEG-In. Not all Ledo's are created equal, so I only go to a couple in the area and this is my new favorite location. I never have an issue when I come here. I always call my order in and when I arrive it's always ready and piping hot for pick-up. This location is apart of a strip of eateries, (Chipotle, Elevation Burger, Quiznos) across from the Home Depot in the same parking lot. The staff is usually high school/college age, but they are always friendly and helpful. Ledo's has everything from pizzas (square...never round), cheese steaks, salads, wings and additional items. Like most, I only come here for the pizza and I am never disappointed in the pizza I get from here. I love the thin crust and the pizza sauce! It's nothing like it in any other pizza places in the surrounding areas. I will chose Ledo's over any of the pizza chains (i.e. Pizza Hut, Papa Johns...) any day of the week. They don't deliver, so be prepared to go out and pick up your order or you can dine in. Kudos to Ledo's Pizza for such awesome pizza!!! read more

Good for carry out ONLY. Do NOT dine in if you value your time or blood pressure. The two stars are only because the pizza is delicious, but the service here is horrible. For example, I once got into a verbal argument with the manager over the visible lack of goat cheese on my Veg Out pizza, and she refused to admit that there was a problem. I always get that pizza when I go to Ledo's, so I KNOW what it's supposed to look like, but she wasn't going to back down or give me a refund or anything. Wouldn't even take the pizza back or simply add more goat cheese crumbles to the pizza. Another time my family and I sat down for dine-in and the waitress was horrible. Bored, disinterested, didn't know what beer was on tap, and both times I tried to order wine they were out of what I wanted and she didn't know until after I ordered. I was taken here on a date another time and the waitress brought us the wrong pizza after "not noticing" us sitting there for 10 minutes even though it was just us at the time. Ok, so I'm a New Yorker and used to "Real" pizza. I hate Ledo's pizza and this is not a review for that. This is about their new promo for "Old Bay" hot sauce wings and the disappointment. I saw on the news, the promo for the "Old Bay" hot sauce wings. Silly me for not ordering 6 and tasting them first. Sillier me, I picked up my order of 24 and put them in the back of the car and continued my errands, without checking my order! I get home an hour later and check out my food. What a waste of money. I'm not sure if they are simply bland, or if this was an honest mistake and they forgot to put any sauce. Did they even use any sauce? Dry, dry, dry. Old Bay? Where at? I order Old Bay wings all the time from America's Best Wings, and theirs are drowned in the stuff. So I was expecting not only for wings to be drowned in Old Bay (Hellooo we are in Maryand), but also wet from the hot sauce and hot!! These are sooooo bland. No Old Bay and no heat! Clearly, false advertising. I fell for the hype. I wonder if they even had the Old Bay hot sauce or are they just being stingy with it? After getting home from a long day, I don't have the time or patience to drive back. Based on the yelp reviews, it says this location has poor customer service, so I'm not even going to bother to call and complain, but I am hoping someone can rectify this with a gift card. I use to go to the Crofton location before this one opened. Anyway, here goes: Visit #1 : Unprofessional teenage staff. I couldn't take all the teeth sucking and rude demeanor. When I called in my order, I was on hold for at least 10 minutes. When I arrived in 20 minutes because I was told my pizza would be ready in 20 minutes, it wasn't. So I had to wait another 10 minutes, standing. They only have one bench for those waiting on carryout and none of the "men" offered their seat to a lady. SMDH. Not Ledo's fault on me standing, but that made my experience worse. Chivalry is dead clearly. Visit #2: Again Unprofessional teenage staff. I walked in on a Friday after work to place my order while I go over to Target to grab something really quick. I place my order, they say 45 minutes. Cool, just enough time to grab what I need (and don't need) from Target. I come back in 50 mins and my pizza isn't ready. I see some of the same folks that were waiting when I first ordered. After waiting another 20 mins and complaining that I saw people come in after me and leave with their orders, they check again and find my pizza COLD. So the offer to make another one, but NOT for FREE is still had to pay. Since I was annoyed and my taste buds set on Ledo and had already waited, I just went with it, they said the would put it in right away. And they did, I got that pizza in 10 mins. Visit #3 (the last straw): I signed up online for coupons from Ledo. I got a coupon via email with THIS ADDRESS for Buy 1, Get 1 Free Calzone. SCORE! I call in the order and go to pick up. When I get there and present the coupon, the teeny booper (yes, them again) says "We don't accept those". And why not? It has your location on here. So she goes and gets the manger and he UN APOLOGETICALLY and RUDELY says that they "are not a participating restaurant." So I tell him that corporate shouldn't send these and they need to alert corporate that they don't accept them. He gives me a blank stare and repeats himself. OK, fine, well, I only came to get the calzones because of the coupon so since I can't redeem them, I wont get them and he says OK and takes them off the counter! I was LIVID! So that is my last time there. I agree with Shanae, too many other places with great customer service in the same shopping center to go to. Also, the TJ Elliott's on 197 serves LEDO pizza and they have a fully stocked bar there, AND they send coupons in the mail you can actually REDEEM. Service rating. Food is alright but the service the past couple visits was not very good. I decided to order take out today and after I paid for my order, I asked if I can have a cup of water while I wait. It's 93 degrees outside today. She told me they charge for a cup of water. Although what many of the others are saying about the young teenager wait staff is true, I've never had any real serious problems with them. They've never been rude to me. They've never gotten my order wrong and when they got the order wrong of someone I accompanied, they simply replaced it quickly and apologetically. But I also do not eat in ever. I order my pizza and leave. It's always made fresh, hot, and just like I like it. The crust, even though it's thin and square still has the taste of a thicker crust. I am a true fan of the actual food here but I admit you HAVE to know how to order your pizza. I only get the custom pizzas each time--chicken, spinach, and tomatoes! And I don't stray too often. I've tasted other things. Like the specialty pizza with the BBQ sauce and the bacon. Disgusting. Just make your own. Trust me! If anything worries me about this place, its more so the crowd. My least favorite ledos in the area. The taste of the sauce is not consistent and it's the most oily. However it's the closest location to my house so sometimes I take the L for convenience. I called and placed an order to pick up and was told I have to provide my credit card information to them. Why?!? I simply do not feel comfortable giving my card info over the phone to some stranger. I understand people prank call and place orders and don't pick them up but why do I need to be treated like that? What if I'm paying in cash? Management needs to reconsider this policy. We wanted to each have a beer from the bar however, our server let us know that her and the only other waitress were 16 and could not pour the beer. She said the other staff were too busy to pour us each a beer. I asked to see the manager since he should be 18 and could pour us a beer. He proceeded to stand there for 5 minutes and tell us how busy he was and could not get us a beer.
