My husband made the order. Wings, a meatball sub and a calzone... I've never had an issue with their food.. the chicken was so over cooked the meat was impossible to chew even the bone was burned. Meatball sub with pickles?? Calzone was alright, but not its usual taste either. Was scheduled to pick up at 8:30pm on a Friday and they were already closed and turning away dine in customers, that walked in behind me. Dining room closed. All kitchen lights were off... I thought they closed at 10 not 8pm?? But maybe that's why the quality was so poor, I would never come in a restaurant 30 min before they close. read more

I've been here a total of 3 Times and each and every time they have messed up my order. While hubby is next door in Physical Therapy I'll do an online order and we pick up on the way out. The second time they messed up my order there was a power outage and they had a lot of backed up orders so I was understanding but this last time they messed my order up and got things bad was the final straw. I ordered 3 salads and 2 of them had the huge middle of the lettuce not even cut up sitting right in the middle of my salad. It was old and withered and tasted disgusting. No more salads from here. This is THE best Ledos location. This is quite possibly the most consistent, most affordable, cleanest, and most friendly restaurant in the twin beaches. The food is top notch and they have a decent wine and booze selection. Jose is extremely attentive and cares about dietary restrictions and allergies more than any place I've visited around here. Hubby & I walked in to place our order. Generally we do a sit down. We were greeted by a very pleasant voice behind the counter. As we looked over the menu board Lauryn pointed out their lunch specials and gave very good descriptions of items we questioned. We placed our order, Lauryn said the wait would be about 20 minutes. While sitting on the bench waiting for our food we saw many (6+) customers come in and pick up their online orders. Lauryn greeted each and everyone w/the same pleasant voice, offering each their orders, asking if they needed anything else to go w/their meals ie napkins, plates. REALLY! What a blessing! Lauryn's professionalism as she dealt w/each customer is just not heard of any longer. Hubby thought she must have been the manager but no she wasn't. Our food was good. The restaurant appeared clean. No particular odors. A few customers were dining in but their voices didn't carry. Over all, it's b/c of our WONDERFUL experience w/Lauryn that we'll be back. I have been coming and eating at this Ledo's ever since they opened 3 years ago! (At least once a week) Everytime I go in there I am always greeted by their great workers. I could go on for days about the food. Oh boy, could I. My latest trip in, I got the veggie calzone (which is to die for), and the spicy toasted raviolis. I base my reviews comparatively. You can't compare a steak from Morton's to a pizza from Ledos. I compare and rate apples to apples. That being said, as far as a pizza joint goes, this one ain't bad. The staff is super friendly and the pizza pretty good. I've had ledos style pizza before where each of the intentionally placed pepperonis had pools of oil puddles on top of each one. It was so greasy, Arthur Fonzerellli could have dipped his comb in it. Since that encounter, I have been leary of ledo style pizza. This place has semi restored my faith. No puddles of oil and the crust was light and flaky. Almost to a croissant texture. Super good for the tastebuds; super bad for the waistline. That other ledos style pizza place was in Bowie. However reference that "other" place, my momma used to say, if you don't have anything nice to say Michael keep your mouth shut. read more

To be fair, this is the First time I ever tried the cells pizza. Simply put, I did not suit my taste. I am not really into Sweet tomato sauce, therefore that was a very quick turn off for me. The crust of the pizza is interesting, pastry like, therefore very hard to eat a slice without a fork and knife, as the dough has vey little consistency. The buffalo wings are boneless and actually good! Each order comes with a side of celery sticks and a choice of ranch dressing or blue cheese. If I were ever to eat here again, it would be the buffalo wings and maybe try some of the other dishes but again the pizza was just not my cup of tea. I came back to Chesapeake Beach to visit family and my son and his wife wanted to take me to lunch, asked me where I wanted to go. I remembered Ledos Pizza as always being really good back in the day so I suggested there. Soooo disappointed. Pizza is nothing like it used to be , I used to love how the thick pepperoni made its own little bowls of grease. Pizza was not good. Little Caesars is better, and that's not a compliment. My son got chicken and broccoli alfredo, and it looked yummy, but the chicken was inedible as it was so chewy and full of gristle. He left 3/4 of the dish to be thrown in the trash. LEDOS, WHAT ARE YOU DOINGGGG?? YOU USED TO BE THE BEST IN CALVERT. On a high note the server was very friendly and attentive. So there is that. She was spot on. Honestly one of the best barbecue chicken pizzas I've had in awhile. The sauce is on point with the perfect amount of sweetness and tang. Let's not mention they are not greedy with the bacon! We are out of town and I have to always try pizza joints wherever I'm at...I'm so glad I didn't pass this place up. Even the marinara sauce for the mozzarella sticks was great. I ordered the other night on my way home from the longest day ever with an extremely tired 3 year old I had to keep waking up while in route from St Leonard. When I got to the restaurant around 6:15 the line of orders ahead of me was insane and the lady kindly informed me by my order wasn't due up until at least 6:59. I told her no worries, I just couldn't go home and drag this toddler back out. The sweet hostess gave my little cookies while she waited and the staff had my order out by 6:30 to perfection. I recently visited this location and was not impressed. I love the food but the service was so bad that I will never return. 5 other people and I walked in on a Tuesday evening. Very busy! We got seated in the back room. The air conditioning was blowing straight on us and it was freezing. We ordered waters, two orders of fries and a large cheese pizza. 35 minutes later, we get the fries. The two plates have noticeable different amounts of fries. Our waitress told us the pizza was coming right out. 20 minutes goes by and she is no where to be seen. She eventually comes back and let's us know that our pizza was taken by a carry out order and they're making us a new one now. It took over 45 minutes for her to let us know?! We finally got our food and asked to speak to the manager. She gave us a 20% discount and apologized. She kind of seemed as if it wasn't a big deal and was giving us the minimum to keep us somewhat happy. Leaving pretty let down, we will not return. When Mama Lucia's opens down the street, this location should be prepared for some intense competition. read more

I'm going to start by saying we've been to many Ledo locations over many years, including one just down the road in Prince Frederick. Some aren't as great as others, but in general the food, at least, is consistent. Our party arrived at this Ledo and we were maybe the third table to fill during lunch. After about 10 minutes, we asked the hostess if we had a server--it was an honest question as we were sitting about 20 feet from the order/takeout counter and we weren't sure if we were supposed to order there. She said there was only one server working that day but someone would be with us. Fine...but then ask us at least for a drink order, you know? We're clearly waiting. And you're not busy at all. Server arrives, she's lovely, she takes our order, brings drinks, all's well. And then our three pizzas come. And they collectively are the soggiest, greasiest pizza we have ever had from a Ledo, bar none. Every pepperoni is its own little jaccuzi of swirling oil (no kidding--even foaming), and even the cheese pizza is nasty looking. The crust is so thin and so soggy we couldn't pick it up and eat it like pizza, so we all used forks and knives. And a huge stack of napkins to sop up the oil--napkins we got ourselves from the takeout counter because no one stopped by our table for a good 20 minutes later (and again...person working the takeout counter watched me get up, walk around, spy the napkins, and take a stack--and didn't ask if she could help, did I need something, etc? I kind of feel like someone should tip me, at this point). When the pizza arrived, we all talked about the grease on it and some of us got up to find more napkins. The hostess was wiping down the table directly next to ours, clearly in earshot and eyeshot of what was happening, and said and did nothing. No can I help you, no I'm sorry, what's the issue, nothing. Invisible. We didn't complain until the end of the meal and that was our fault--honestly, the thought of waiting another half-hour for food wasn't working for us at that point. So we ate it. And in her defense, the manager came over after we did say something and adjusted our bill, which was very nice. But this restaurant has some food and customer-service issues, and there are lots of other places to grab lunch around in this growing area. We're checking this one off the list. Still love you, Ledo, but this location needs more training. read more

This is probably my favorite Ledo's location. It's a little smaller, which offers the small town vibe that it deserves. All of my food has always come out quick and delicious which is also a plus. I love that they came back to Chesapeake Beach and it seems like this one is going much better than the last. It is nice to finally have a nice sit down pizza place in the beach. read more

Our first trip to Ledos was very disappointing. We ordered the vegan pizza with no cheese and asked to substitute two vegetables instead of two the pizza camr with and they charged us an extra $10. When we asked why there was such an increase in the price the girl at the register rolled her eyes and said she'd go talk to her manager. The manager never came out to speak to us or explain the extra charge and the takeout girl was very rude to us. Ledos could definitely have better customer service at their restaurant. A large no cheese, no protein pizza should not cost $27.. especially for the quality. We probably won't return and definitely won't recommend Ledos to anyone we know. read more

Dear Ledos North Beach / Chesapeake Beach, We have been coming to your Ledos for over three years -- about every two weeks and in the past food has been great--no comment. Your Ledos has our accolades over other Md Ledos -- that are about 15 miles away --north or south!! Your wait staff personnel are super wonderful, very personable, and go the extra mile to make sure their customers are happy enjoying their dining experiences. We love your staff. But, something has changed food wise. Change seems to be in the creation of some food offerings-/including salads. In my opinion your delicious great salads have changed to include lots of iceberg chunks and hardly any other types of lettuce--which is a change I note in my salads and not as cold as it should be when it comes to the table. Pizza is still very tasty!! In addition, depending on the number chefs in the kitchen -- the kitchen staff should take time to plan how one table--with several orders--have orders come out of the kitchen pretty close to the same time--give or take a few minutes. I have always had great food from Ledo's. There's such a variety to choose from. Usually I order take out, and have eaten there a few times without any issues. Had a last minute catering/banquet request and they handled like pros. I have had to arrange several of these events in the past and this was the best by far. The room and food was ready along w pitchers of ice water to hold participants over until drink items were ordered. I have always liked Ledos food and quality is always consistently good.
