We've ordered a few pizzas from this place and they are always awesome! Without having to drive an hour or so this is hands down the best pizza in SoCo!

    Antipasto.

I really wanted to like this cafe but both dishes were only ok. When I got a look at the menu I was impressed, really wide variety of dishes. I love antipasto and wanted a good entre to go w it so I asked the waiter/cashier (covid setup) for his favorite, veal or linguine. He was enthusiastic about the linguine so I ordered it. Antipasto arrived quickly, just kind of ok. Good variety but the mozzarella and tomato had no basil, the artichokes were fair, the meats were good, though. The clam and calamari linguini was fair. Good sized serving. The outdoor seating is a compromise. Nice breeze but not enough to keep pesky flies away. I will try again. I think their strengths may be pizza or calzone.

The service was nice it was a genuine Italian culture that brought life to it all. The pizza was cooked completely fresh in front of me and honestly wasn't half bad. A definite 6/10. The bad thing is they did not have everything they have listed on the menu. They do not seem very busy but also only seemed to have one employee working. The service was fast and the pizza was good. That is the first time I have had it in a good while. Would still recommend for quick pizza.

wow burnt ? chicken? i guess. not really sure

We ordered takeout.... and let's just say, putting it softly, it didn't go well. I ordered the ravioli and it sucked. The sauce was like a vinegar wine flavor (ew), gnocchi was subpar, and don't even get me started on the "chicken" on crunchy noodles (chicken parm?). experience 1/10 pizza was gud

This place has been closed for a while after covid owner couldn't make it! A shame loved the pizza.

Take out only (which is fine). The guy was nice enough, the crust is just real burnt. We wanted to like it really.

We were able to grab a spot on the patio before the bourbon activation that was taking place. It was giving local hang out, beach town vibes Our server was great - very attentive and helpful with suggestions. We ordered hush puppies to start with a Paloma & Blackberry Margarita. The hush puppies were delicious! Slightly sweet with a cinnamon whipped butter that was amazing! The cocktails left a lot to be desired - sweeter than anything and the taste of the purees/juice was off for both. Our lunch options were fabulous! My mom had the Southern Fish & Chips (I think it was catfish) and I had Barramundi for the first time. Pleasantly surprised with no complaints! This is a great option if you like seafood and want that down home vibe

We ordered: Crab cake sandwich with zucchini and squash Single crab cake with roasted Brussels, maple, bacon Steak fajita bowl Mojitos Non-alcoholic cocktails (blueberry lemon and raspberry lavender) Flourless chocolate cake Peanut butter pie Loved the crabcakes - all big meat, no filler. Son reports the steak bowl was 7/10, delicious but could have used sauce for more flavor. ADORED the drinks, the mocktails were muddled with fresh fruit. Deserts were very very high quality. Can't wait to come back.

08.08.24 My wife and I eat out often and have driven past…read moreWharf 38 a lot, so we decided to finally give it a try. It was 4 PM when we arrived, wasn't very busy, so we decided to sit outside on the deck rather than inside. Each table has its own umbrella, which was nice because it did drizzle a little while we were eating. Our waitress was very nice and greeted us shortly after we sat down. She took our drink order. My wife had an iced tea, and I ordered the Upside Down Mule, a refreshing mix of Tito's, pineapple purée, and ginger beer. The drink was okay, but even though it was described as having pineapple purée, I really couldn't taste any pineapple. The funny thing was when I went to pick up the mug by the handle, the handle came right off! I mentioned it to our waitress, and she offered to get me a new cup, but I was fine using the cup without the handle. For dinner, my wife ordered the 1/2-pound shrimp, Baltimore style--onions, potatoes, Old Bay and butter, with an extra $3 charge. I ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake for $44, described as a fresh, no-filler jumbo lump crab cake. It came with fried Brussels sprouts and an additional side, which I chose as the Sweet Corn Summer Salad--charred sweet corn, confit tomato, fried black beans, roasted red pepper and cilantro over romaine lettuce, cotija cheese, creamy lime dressing and fried tortilla strips. I noticed that my salad had green peppers instead of red peppers. Since I cannot eat green peppers, I asked our waitress about it. She told me that was how it comes. However, the menu specifically says roasted red pepper, not green pepper. This is something the restaurant really needs to correct, either on the menu or with the kitchen, so someone doesn't order the dish expecting red peppers and end up with something they cannot eat. I caught it dyer my first bite eating. Then came another issue. My wife's dinner came out, but my meal wasn't ready. She waited for me, and I finally told her to go ahead and eat before her food got cold. About 10 minutes later, my meal finally came out. I don't understand why both meals didn't come out together. We weren't ordering crabs or something that would obviously come out when ready. We were ordering two regular dinner entrées, and the restaurant wasn't busy. Ten minutes is a long time between two meals, especially when one person is sitting there waiting while the other is eating. When my meal finally arrived, everything looked good, but I was disappointed with the size of the crab cake. For $44, and being listed as a dinner entrée rather than a sandwich, I expected a much larger crab cake. What makes this even more disappointing is that a picture of the dinner on their website shows two crab cakes, while the crab cake sandwiches pictured on the website were actually larger than the single crab cake I received with my dinner. I understand pictures can sometimes be for presentation purposes, but there was a pretty big difference between what I saw online and what was actually served. More importantly, the crab cake needed to be cooked a little longer. It should have had more browning on the outside not just shack some old bay on it, and the food needed to be hot. The crab cake was only warm, and even the Brussels sprouts were just lukewarm. The food itself had good flavor, but there were several things that need some cleaning up. $44 is a lot for a 4-ounce crab cake, especially when it isn't served hot and the Brussels sprouts are lukewarm. Overall, the meal was ok, but we expected more for the prices, we eat out a lot and don't mind paying for good food! The service was friendly, but the timing of the meals, the temperature of the food, the size of the crab cake, and the issue with the peppers are things the restaurant should address. And then charge 3% for a credit card fee and not even tell us. Would have been 4-5 stars without issues.

My wife and I are always talking about the different locations where we dine, and she kept saying, "I can't wait to try it." It was a little busy tonight. There were only a few tables left when we arrived, and shortly afterward they were all filled. We ordered drinks, and I also ordered the Baby Kale Salad. It had fresh apples that were sweet, crisp, and cut perfectly. The vinaigrette complemented all of the ingredients without overpowering them. It was a great way to start dinner. If I had one small suggestion, it would be just a little more dressing, but it was still wonderful. The three of us shared it. For dinner, my wife had the evening special--chicken with pappardelle pasta, asparagus, and a delicious sauce. My mom and I both ordered the Lasagne with house-made pasta, beef, fresh mozzarella, and tomato sauce. The meals came out looking fantastic, as they always do, and everything was excellent. My wife's chicken was incredibly tender and full of flavor, and it paired perfectly with the pappardelle pasta. I already knew the lasagna was going to be outstanding, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The service here continues to be exceptional. Our water glasses were always kept full, empty plates were cleared promptly, and everyone worked together to make it a great dining experience. For dessert, my wife and I ordered our favorite, the Lemon Cheesecake, and my mom chose the Apple Bread Pudding. The cheesecake was excellent, as always, and the bread pudding was also very good--my mom absolutely loved it. Overall, another outstanding meal with excellent service. We will definitely be back.

We visited around 1 PM on a Saturday and were seated immediately, which was a great start. For appetizers, we ordered the Caesar salad and calamari. The Caesar salad was surprisingly small and came with only two croutons. The calamari was a decent portion size, but the flavor was just okay, I've definitely had better elsewhere. For our entrée, we ordered the fettuccine Alfredo. The flavor itself was very good, but the noodles were extremely watery, almost giving the dish a soup-like consistency. The portion size was also extremely small, especially considering the price point. Overall, I found the restaurant to be quite expensive for both the portion sizes and the overall dining experience. While the service and seating were fine, the food was ultimately underwhelming for me. Unfortunately, it's not a place I would return to.
