CPK is still everything you want it to be with the 90s chain restaurant. All of the classic bbq chicken pizza and salad. I tried the new Chinese dumpling salad, and it was good. The half salad was plenty for a lunch portion. My husband got the special chicken club pizza. It was very different. Tasted like a chicken Cobb salad on a pizza. My children loved their cheese pizza and ate the whole thing. I will always go back as a classic mall sit down restaurant. They did not have any hot drinks. Tried CPK for the first time. The restaurant wasn't busy so we were seated right away. The tables and seats need to be upgraded they are a little worn out. The service was adequate. We had the dynamite shrimp which was very flavorful. Next we both had the Braised short ribs ragu which was mild in flavor and luke warm. The last 6 to 8 times we have been at CPK in Annapolis we have had issues. I've had to call over the manager and complain multiple times. Tonight is the straw that broke the camels back. We ordered the new Greek pizza and what came out was nothing like the picture in the menu. It looked like a store-bought cauliflower crust. Like a giant cracker. There was no sauce. There was no cheese and it had a few random vegetables on it. We sent it back and ordered the margarita pizza and then we asked for the manager who took the pizza off the bill. The food has gone downhill. They don't havea lot of ingredients. The food is not as fresh or good as it used to be. It doesn't seem like there are any professional cooks in the kitchen making the food. It's taking 90 minutes to 2 hours to have a meal for four people. I won't be going back. And I was a huge fan for many years, I'd rather spend my money at other restaurants that care. The pictures I have attached is the picture of the pizza in the menu versus what we received. I remember really loving CPK years ago in a different location, but this one just didn't hit the mark. I sat at the bar to avoid the long wait for a table. There were only two others sitting there. The bartender originally greeted me very quickly but then stopped coming over. I ordered the non-alcoholic cucumber drink but did not receive it until much later when I asked if my food would be out soon. He didn't apologize for forgetting, and did not make it right away. The food (Thai Chicken Pizza & Thai Crunch salad) too much longer than I expected to come out. They looked good but both were incredibly bland. The bread of the pizza was over cooked & dry. The salad lacked dressing and I struggled to get the bartender's attention. I didn't finish either. A pair sat near me and we shared some laughs about how hard it was getting the bartender's attention, so I doubt it was anything personal. I went to find a waiter to pay my check and leave. All around- would not return. But the drink was pretty good! read more

First time coming to one of these and pretty impressed! I used to have one of these places near where I live but I never bothered to go. That location has since closed or moved to another location. I ended up In Annapolis to meet a friend and we ended up in Annapolis mall. The service was quick and the food was great. I got a combo meal with salad and pizza and everything was super fresh. Long wait to get the check and the credit card bill. Food was hot and very good, had the Thai pizza. Only issue was the server. Can't say I'm impressed at all. Came around 7p on a Thursday night. We waited at the front with no hostess in sight for about 5 min until one came and left again. We were seated shortly after. Another few minutes, our server greeted us and asked for our drink order - we asked for 2 ice waters, 1 hot water, and one iced tea. She returned with 3 ice waters and an iced tea. We corrected her with the hot water, and she brought back the same glass with hot water in it, instead of placing it in a pot or a mug... interesting. Our server seemed new - maybe there was a lack of training or upkeep of their servers. She took our order and I can't quite put my finger on it, but the encounter was so awkward and uncomfortable. Our food came after an appropriate wait time (~20 min) for how busy they were. We got one plate of bread with 4 pieces - it was removed after we ate it. The table next to us with a different server was asked if they wanted more bread (that would've been nice if we were asked!) The burrata pizza was cold all around - not just cold burrata, but cold pizza. The cali veggie pizza was just not good. The vegetables overloaded the pizza and made it too heavy to even pick up a slice without the pizza falling apart. The bahn mi power bowl was dry - in our previous experience eating this power bowl, there was a sauce/dressing with the salad. She DID come and check on us which was nice, but we weren't even done eating before she asked if we wanted the bill. (Also didn't ask if we wanted dessert! :( Which I may have wanted..). Came out Annapolis to buy some rugs at a local store and decided to have lunch at CPK (California Pizza Kitchen. Just the two of us, my daughter and I. The first thing I notified is they put us in a small two person booth. No biggie. Less than 5 minutes later and somewhat olde couple is seated in a slightly larger booth. We share the same waitress. As the waitress approaches them, she comes with water. We weren't even offered water. I had to ask. Food came out quick. But off the top of my head, I'm feeling some kinda way, and it's not good. I've walked past this CPK about 100 times at the mall and have never eaten there. Finally, we were nearby and needed to eat something that was easy to walk into for my father at his age. We were able to park in the handicap parking and it was a close walk from the car. We had a nice table that wasn't too loud from music or people. My father can't hear her well. The service was prompt and the waitress was friendly. The menu was a bit overwhelming - I think I had 3-4 different menus - just for me! One was for pizza, other for drinks and I forgot what the other two were for. The pizza was awesome and delicious. It was a nice quiet dinner on a cold Thursday night. It worked out well. Awesome pizza chain located just inside the mall at Annapolis. Definitely come here for the pizzas. While they do have other entrees on the menu which are not bad, the pizza is the highlight of the meal here. Baked fresh in a super hot oven, the pizzas come out hot and crisp with a generous amount of flavorful toppings. My favorite and most recommended is the Spicy Sicilian. It has a bit of heat, but the ingredients are top notch compared to the traditional pepperoni and sausage on American-style pizzas. Some of their other gourmet pizzas are good as well, such as the BBQ Chicken pizza which is almost a signature dish for them. And not only are the pizzas good here in the restaurant, but you can get take-and-bake versions which cook up just as crisp and tasty at home if you follow the directions. Join the rewards program to get a good deal on them with purchase of an entree in-store... better than leftovers the next day or so! This location has had top-notch service. Very friendly and helpful, even finding us the best combination of rewards and deals so we get the most for our money on every visit. Food is always served quickly, fresh and hot. The atmosphere is nice and cozy, even being open to the mall. An open kitchen allows you to watch what is going on. CPK, my most favorite place ever. I've been here 1000 times and I love it every single time. I went with the hope of being able to sit outside but there was a wait so we sat inside. I think the waitress was Alora. She was very pleasant. So we tried the Mexican Street Corn. YUMMM!! Whatever the sauce is that they put on top made it taste so much better. The menu says that it is seasonal but I wish I would become a permanent menu item. I had the tostada pizza that was also super yummy. I got it without the beans because beans are gross, but it's def something I would order again. The thin crust was nice and crispy. And those little tortilla chips on top of the pizza were a great addition! My SO got the BBQ Chopped Salad. I think that's what it was called. I didn't taste it but she loved it. And since I got a free dessert for my birthday, I ordered the Buttercake. It's really just like eating heaven. And of course I had to top it off with a scoop of ice cream. They were timely, friendly, and set everything up for my customers. They are super professional so make sure you tip them well! They got the entire order correct and was able to make accommodations such as swap outs. Also, sent me my requested receipt right away. Jordan and her team were amazing!! Second, the food was AMAZING! They provided the plates, utensils, napkins, and the food even looked good! No haphazard displays, very professional. Everyone raves about their jambalaya and pizzas. Very fresh and delicious pizza! I ordered the Five Cheese and Fresh Tomato. It has mozzarella, Monterey Jack, smoked Gouda, and Romano cheese with tomato and fresh basil. As I write this, I realized this is only four types of cheese. Not sure what the fifth cheese is or if there even is one but it was delicious. First time writing a review, and hope they see this so they can address simple issues. Highly disappointed for many reasons. To begin with, the hostess was not friendly and didn't speak-very bizarre. The Menu was hard to read, extremely small font. Waitress barely checked on us, and walked away when I tried to ask for straws or had a quick question. Took forever just to have our drink and bread severed. Bread and oil came with just 3 small slices and oil did not taste good. Entrees we're not worth the money. Very good food! My husband and I have not been out to eat since the start of the lockdown in March. I will say given what we ordered I did have sticker shock! This is an expensive restaurant. My husband and we ordered one sangria, Ribeye Steak, and Kung Pow Spaghetti with chicken! All delicious! But having been to more formal restaurants in the past I was surprised to see the bill of nearly $70.00. This seemed like a more casual restaurant, especially being in a mall. I assume the bills majority came from the steak which is understandable as steak is not cheap! However I've had steak at nicer restaurants with a nicer view for a similar price. Be aware the menu does not display prices. This is not a restaurant you want to go to if you're on a budget or need a quick bite to eat! The service was excellent! Our waitress was attentive and VERY nice! She did an excellent job especially because she seemed to be expected to balance quite a bit! She maintained a friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills! I would say the thing that sets this restaurant apart is the customer service. Because of the service and quality of food, I am giving this restaurant a 5/5. It would be nice if they displayed prices on their menu. Visited the restaurant with my daughter on a Thursday night to get some appetizers and two pizzas and was sat right away. We waited for twenty minutes before someone came over to tell us that our server was swamped and would be over in a few minutes to take our order. The gentleman offered to get us our drinks while we waited. We each ordered water and continued to wait for an additional 20 minutes and no one ever came back over to take our order. My daughter and I ended up leaving and going to the food court. CPK offers great pizza. They're famous for the bbq chicken, and my personal favorite is the Sicilian. Also, their Szechuan Dumpling appetizer is killer. The downsides to CPK are that it is more expensive than other pizza spots with similar if not better taste. Also, it's located at the mall which is an annoyance. read more

My mom, niece, and I dined here on a Friday a little after 1pm. The restaurant was packed. We asked for a table and was told it would be about a 10-15 minute wait. The hostess took my niece's number and said they'd send a text when one became available. We waited about 5 minutes before she got a text. The hostess asked us how many was in our party. We said three and (again) said we needed a table, not a booth. The hostess nodded and took us all the way to the back of the restaurant to a booth. She quickly turned and walked away before we could say something. We walked back to the front of the restaurant and said we needed a table, not a booth. She made a big stink face, glanced to the side of the restaurant and huffed "We only have one table in the corner." We said that was perfect. She half rolled her eyes and muttered something to herself. She begrudgingly walked us to the table and somewhat threw the menus on the table and left. She had a major attitude. I about had it with that rude hostesses attitude and wanted to leave, but this is my niece's favorite restaurant, so I decided to keep my mouth shut. I've said this in an earlier review but every single time we ask for a table at this restaurant, they take us to a booth despite telling them that we don't want a booth. I don't understand the confusion. It took quite a while for our server to come over. The placed was packed, so we understood. I ordered a strawberry mango cooler. I thought it was great. My niece ordered a mango lemonade and it was $4.29! Very pricey for a lemonade. We were given bread and oil for snacking on. It was good. The bread was fresh. We ordered the avocado egg rolls (hand-wrapped wontons, avocado, chicken, tomato, Monterey Jack cheese, Nueske's applewood smoked bacon) with ranchero sauce and herb ranch sauce to start. They were great, as always. They're always stuffed with fixings. I love the sauces that they come with. No complaints there! My mom ordered a 7" pepperoni pizza. My mom thought it was okay. The dough was pretty thick and it could have used more pepperoni. My niece ordered the 7" cheese pizza and enjoyed it. I ordered the oven-roasted turkey + brie sandwich (roasted turkey, Brie, shaved Granny Smith apples, greens, honey-mustard) with baked potato soup. The sandwich was terrible. There was one thin slice of turkey on the sandwich - that's it. One side of the turkey was a bit thicker than the other but the rest was thin. There was about 15 thin apple slices on each side of my sandwich. There were more greens and apples on the sandwich than anything else. There was no brie on one side of my sandwich. The other side had two decent sized pieces. The bread was fresh but very thick. I would not get this sandwich again, nor recommend it to anyone. I liked the soup but I needed to add salt. There was a ton of potato and nice chunks of bacon through out. I would order that again. The service was just okay. It wasn't terrible, but he could have been more attentive. Again, the restaurant was crowded so I understand not checking in with us all the time. We had dirty dishes piled to the side of the small table. He came to our table twice and didn't take them away until we asked. He was very polite and friendly, though. This used to be one of my favorite places to eat but it's gone down hill the past couple of years. I feel like the majority of the staff and kitchen just don't care about the service and food anymore. I certainly hope we don't encounter that rude hostess if we decide to return in the near future. Food wise, I recommend the Five Cheese and Fresh Tomato pizza. Hand tossed crust, no sauce, 5 cheeses and tomatoes and basil. So delicious. Tostada pizza, thin crust, black beans, cheese, baked then topped with lettuce, tortilla strips, drizzled with ranch dressing, with salsa on the side. May sound strange but oh so good! I ask for extra ranch, salsa and a bottle of cholula hot sauce. For dessert, Butter Cake, warm cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Worth every single calorie! We've been here many times before but this time it was to take advantage of the free Veterans Day menu item they were offering. They had a limited menu for the options but that was fine because it had what we wanted. We ordered the mushroom, pepperoni and sausage pizza, jambalaya and butter cake as well as the free sprite that came with veterans deal. We made an in-person take out order. There were a few people already in line but the line went pretty fast for us to make an order. We walked around the mall for few minutes and came back and our food was ready for pick up. My party I was with liked her too, but they weren't happy by what they saw walking through the restaurant to our table we were seated at. I did not get a chance to try out the food in Annapolis California Pizza Kitchen. I liked the set up to this restaurant and I had a good vibe for it, except the table and menu.
