I've been to more Ledo's locations than any one person probably should, so I was excited to try this one to rank it accordingly. As I've learned over the years, they can vary greatly depending on the owner and how closely they follow the original Ledo's recipes and processes. This place is definitely one of the better Ledo's. The first time I went, it was with a large party and I was the only one who got pizza. Everyone else got pasta & salads. Those looked to be on par with usual Ledo's quality, and everyone enjoyed their food. I got the pepperoni pizza, and it was made very well, but could have been cooked for a little longer to get the crunch on the edge crust. It was excellent reheated the next day! (Pro-tip: Reheat Ledo's pizza in a cast iron skillet to maintain the cracker crust consistency!) We went back a second time, and the pizza was perfectly cooked! :) We finished the whole thing. Bonus points go to this place for being the only restaurant open after 9pm, and for a really nice staff! I'd forgotten a baby bottle on the table and the waitress ran out to the parking lot to return it to me. So nice :) read more

This place is fine. Every time we visit Chincoteague, we stop for some of this tasty and unique Pizza. I personally love the very thin crust that many others complain about. The less dough, the better. Sauce is delicious. Crab on pizza is the best. read more

We visited over Memorial Day weekend and loved the pizza. 2 mediums was ample for 6 people. The pepperoni and buffalo chicken were great. Just remember to order blue cheese crumbles if you order the buffalo chicken. My mom lost her fitbit at the restaurant and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly when we returned to look for it. They had found it and had it waiting at the front for us. Terrible! Arrived with a party of 5 and had to ask for our table to be cleaned - every empty table and booth was filthy. After sitting for another 15 minutes. nobody bothered to even take our drink order...we ended up leaving, without ever ordering anything. read more

Being in Chincoteague for just the weekend and receiving some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced, our waitress Chelsea completely blew our minds with hands down the best service in town. We visited 3 places before ending up here, and she alone turned everything around for the better. Every restaurant in this town should be lining up for someone like her. This is the worst Ledo's we've ever been to. They won't tell you this, but they will arbitrarily set a time where they will no longer seat you. They close at 10pm but stop serving close to 8:30pm. I came in with 3 young, very hungry children and was told at 8:45pm that they were no longer seating. An entire hour and fifteen minutes before they were set to close; we were given no reason as to why, but, just that it was. They really need to have the actual hours posted and not leave hungry families in the lurch. I suggest Famous Pizza down the road, they are far more accommodating, they took our order at 8:53pm when they closed at 9, and told us they would have someone wait after posted hours to give us order. Without this crappy service we wouldn't have found the best pizza on the island. read more

Ok, so the Island town of Chincoteague closes down early and there are not to many options. Luckily, I called this Ledo's location and got someone that was nice enough to take my order at closing time. And for her niceness of providing us food at such a late hour when they were closing--- is the only reason they get a three. I have had Ledo's in the DMV area before and I think their pizza is really good. But when my husband came back with our late night pie from here on a Saturday night, it wasn't thoroughly cooked. The pizza was doughy and I could tell it did not do its full cycle in the oven. The cheese and pepperoni's were fresh but the dough issues (of the crust)caused me to only eat the toppings. Again, I appreciate them for taking our late order, I just wish they would have cooked my pie all the way through. read more

This our second attempt at pizza on Chincoteague Island. We got the Pop Pie and a regular with ham. The Pop was a very good white pizza. Would get it again. The regular with ham was ok. I also had Italian wedding soup which was tasty and the French fries were good as well. The waiters was very nice but the place quite dirty at 3 in the afternoon although it wasn't busy. Definitely beat Famous Pizza up the street if you want something a little different. read more

So everything closes early in Chincoteague, even in the heart of summer. So we needed to eat something after a late arrival, and found Ledo's to still be open. The food was just ok, nothing special. Our waitress did a good job, and the decor is unique for a chain restaurant. I would not race to eat here again. read more

This was our second try at pizza on this small island and this was better than the lyre place down the street that was supposedly famous! The dough is thin almost more like a pastry but was good. It worked better for the specialty pizzas than it did for the standard cheese and sauce recipes. The greeter was not friendly. The server was wonderful and sweet. read more

Worst Italian cold cut sub I ever ordered. Didn't even have oil and vinegar to it - basic condiments for an Italian cold cut sub.

It's great for groups and the service is great. I thought the food was frozen and pre-cooked for the cooks, and the chicken sandwich I ordered was actually Tyson chicken grilled strips. The tea I ordered was also crap. Oh yeah, not to mention the leak in the roof! Lol read more

We ordered from here to take out and was a bit skeptical based on the reviews. I can't review the experience as far as dining in but I placed my order over the phone and it was ready within the 15min that they stated. I brought our food back to the hotel and it was still piping hot. Staff were kind and helpful and the food was good for what we expected, we had the pastas like lasagna and grilled chicken Alfredo etc. the only downside was the Alfredo didn't have the greatest flavor and the chicken was definitely maybe being kept steamed in an area to stay hot because it wasn't fresh grilled but other than that it was pretty good. read more

This Italian restaurant left a lot to be desired! We came during off season so there were only a few other tables with people. The waiter was friendly but we only received refills upon request and even took a while then... Italian wedding soup and minestrone soup were both very watery and bland. Pizza was decent and Stromboli was small but good... however some in our party ended up with upset stomachs shortly after. Not the most fabulous way to start a vacation. read more

Walked in, first thing my family and I noticed was the lack of AC. It was extremely warm the whole time we were there, not very enjoyable. They do not serve alcohol, just a heads up. We didn't know this. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and side caesar salads to start off, both were very good. Then, came the pizza. Portion sizes were large, we got a large half pineapple half cheese and it had to be served on two very big trays. However, I do not think the pizza was even fully cooked. I love pizza, I'm a huge pizza fanatic. I find it hard to mess pizza up. However, it was like we were actually eating raw dough. I ate two or three pieces and actually started to feel sick and could not finish. My boyfriend got a BBQ chicken pizza and his was also, seemingly uncooked. We were not pleased at all. I also ordered fettuccine alfredo with no meat. Garlic bread tasted like it came from a frozen package and the alfredo tasted fishy. Noodles were almost hard, it was pretty much inedible no matter how much salt or parmesan I put on it. Our waitress was in training and was very nice and attentive. They did charge us extra for ranch dressing which seemed a little ridiculous. Overall, I definitely would not recommend this place. Food is not very good, especially for the price. Definitely disappointed and felt compelled to write about my experience since the reviews didn't help me much. read more

We go here every year we visit Chinoteague and really enjoy it. Their pizza is pretty good and they have a lot of interesting pizzas. I especially enjoy their pizzas with garlic aioli sauce (pretty sure that's what it is...). Their prices are very reasonable and the staff is very nice! It did take us a while to be served last time but we have never had a bad experience with around 4 trips there! read more

This is your standard Ledo's pizza, and I am glad this place is in Chincoteague. It is the best pizza on the island, in my opinion. We camp in Chincoteague every year, and on the night we arrive, we always pick up a Ledo's pizza and a jar of their famous sauce (to use with pasta later in the week!). The staff are friendly and young. You can be seated right away. It's has the usual service, features and quality that I can rely on at the Ledo's location back home. The food was good. There are some differences such as this location being much larger and in need of exterior and interior remodeling. The women's restroom needs this the most. We had our first meal here and it was a good place to start. Look for the smiling tomato at the front where take out orders are placed and picked up. read more

You walk in and seat yourself. The place is cute inside and it can be great but it wasn't. Everyone was very friendly, no doubt, but the pizza was awful. My family and I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. The mushrooms were very rubbery and did not taste fresh. The crust was too soft and was not very tasty. Some of the worst food I've had in a while. We weren't expecting gourmet eats but c'mon!! After reading the other reviews people left, I was leary about getting pizza here but I'm glad I did. The girl that took our order was so nice and the pizza was great! I love the thin crust and the pepperoni were cut thick not like the paper thin cuts at most places. I even liked the square cuts; it made me eat less. read more

This place has the WORST pizza....which they have the nerve to call it....that I have ever had! Extremely disappointed because the crust was frozen with cheap canned hunks of tomatoes and don't even ask me abut the tasteless cheese, that is if you could find the cheese. I asked for garlic powder to disguise the frozen flavor....when I was told they dont Ihave garlic powder. Don't waste your money or time eating there. Ledos is a great thin crust pizza! It's different and a square cut pizza. There dinners are also very good. I've liked everything I've had but my favorite is there Pizza with hamburger and onions! So good!!! It's a great place to try if your looking for Italian on the island. read more

Terrible service at lunch today. Asked the server what was the soup of the day. Her response? "I don't know - they didn't tell me." No effort to find out until we asked her to. Then a member of our party ordered a veg-in, which has no cheese, without olives. The server brought a veggie pizza, with cheese. When asked to bring the correct order, she finally brought the veg-in, loaded with, you guessed it, olives. She placed in front of the guest and said "he forgot and put olives on it." No effort to apologize or correct the order (again). By this time the rest of the party had already finished their meals so the guest scraped off the olives and ate the pizza. The final straw? When the bill came we were charged for the original incorrect order. The other parties at the table enjoyed their food even though the server was totally incompetent. read more

Tasty pizza. Great open area to eat in. They claim to have a larger pizza than others; but that's because they roll the dough very thin, like pastry dough. IT was very good pizza, but almost felt cheated due to the larger pizza claim. I could make the pizza even bigger if I had the dough run over by a steam roller. Don't like false claims. read more

We loved the atmosphere and food at another Ledo's on the way to Chincoteague. This particular one was okay. The food was good. The wait staff was lovely. The decor was 70's and dark, but seemed clean. The tea was awful. It had that taste that results from not cleaning the tea dispenser properly. A gallon of cheap white vinegar and some rinsing would dramatically improve the flavor. read more

Wanted to grab a pizza and being on the way back to the hotel, thought it looked like a decent place. Ordered a 18" large pizza, half pepperoni and half cheese. It was close to $19, and was one of the worst pizzas ever. Thinking it was going to be a pan pizza, it had the thinnest crust, which is subjective to call crust, which fell apart when eating. Honestly, one of the worst places ever! The ceiling was leaking something on the seats. The table tops were so sticky my sleeve got stuck on it. When I thought it could not get worse, the waitress brought out my pizza to the wrong table. When the table informed her, she just picked it up and gave it to me.
