We went for pizza and drinks late Thursday night and that's what we got. Pizza is bar style pizza but was good. We also got shrimp in the basket with onion rings which was also pretty good. In total our bills for the night for 4 with plenty of drinks was $209. Kimmy was our waitress/bartender and did an amazing job keeping the drinks flowing. Went in last night and sat at an empty table that wasn't cleaned off . Sat for 10 minutes and another couple came in and sat at another uncleaned table. Bartender cleaned and wiped off that table off. Then a few minutes later the server came over to them and cleaned the table again. She walked away and came back with menus for them and wiped that table again. About 5 minutes later she came back and took their food order. In the meantime both her and the bar tender continued to ignore our table. This is the second time this has happened to us. We left and went to steamers after 30 minutes of waiting. The first time we were sitting at the bar and the bartender that day waited on everyone at the bar except us. I had to ask for another drink and then he had a sarcastic comment when he brought it. This review is solely based on the Drag show that we went to on a Friday night. We did not eat but we did drink. I got the feeling this was a locals bar....a bit divey....but hey I love a dive bar. The place was packed and you could tell there were a lot of regulars. We bought $10 tickets to the show and we waited. I have been to many drag shows in Virginia Beach and really just had no idea what to expect. Well...I am here to tell you that the Queens did not disappoint. It was high energy and fun!!! I would definitely recommend the drag show in Chincoteague at Teaguer's. Very well done. Is this bar fancy? Nope. Is it divey? Yup. Is it fun? Heck yea! Would I eat here? Probably not unless it was late night and I needed something. It's your typical bar food.....sandwiches, pizza, subs and burgers. Seafood is mostly fried. Stopped in this place for a casual dinner while in the area based on the website description which was completely inaccurate. As soon as we walked in, it smelled like cigarettes. This is clearly a locals only spot. We were told to sit anywhere but then it took the wait staff almost 10 min to come ask for our drink order. We felt uncomfortable and out of place - people playing pool were looking at us weird. They kept going in and out of the door of the dining room to smoke. My son got a cheeseburger and it smelled like onion soup mix. I got a BLT and it was inedible. Not sure how you screw up a BLT. The place was dirty, it was so hot (no AC in June) The bathroom was horrendous! I had to go and ask for our check and was waived to the bar to pay. They only seemed to care about the locals at the bar drinking. This is a bar! Not a restaurant to enjoy a meal. read more

Our waitress was hung over or drunk. She was jumping around playing with her feet showing other customers her foot that was hurt. She came out twice and told us that the Internet was down and our food will come out shortly. There was a couple in front of us. She brought their food out, and it looked very familiar like it was ours and I noticed they weren't happy about it so I asked them and the food that they received was ours everybody working in there was more interesting in the football game, then cooking or waiting on us. so I offered to pay for our orange juice and tea. I am quite the advocate for local establishments. But.... I'm also transparent....so, I ordered a gluten free Buffalo chicken pizza. Clearly the chicken is breaded ‍ the Reuben was ok, the fries ... eh could be crispier. The on line menu doesn't match the one for now ... however the bartender was great and the band was ok and that's about all I can say. For now. More to come. I only came here for lunch, so my reviews are not based on entertainment or alcohol. I think it suffers from identity crisis. Saddest salad I've ever seen (basically just lettuce). The pizza slice was decent and the fries are ok. The burger was dry--I suspect from the thickness the cook mashes it on the grill. They could only allow half a pickle. read more

I once ordered a rueben and the young waitress asked me what I wanted on it so I switched up and ordered a Caesar salad thinking that would be simple enough. She looked at me and said, " you know that's just lettuce and croutons, right?" As simple as a salad is, it was wilted and soggy and quite literally just lettuce and croutons. Months later, I took my family to the Thursday Bingo night. It was strange that the prizes were stuffed animals and really not an incentive to keep playing. We ordered a pizza. Just a pepperoni pizza, nothing fancy. It was so soggy and rubbery that I could probably bounce it down Maddox Boulevard. I complained to the bartender Steve who I know. He shrugged and said he liked the pizza. I vowed never to eat there but did go to the bar quite a few times after. There is only one bartender on at a time who has to service the entire place, they don't have time to be overly friendly and you have to wait forever for a drink. When these issues were brought to the attention of the owner, she sent me a message on Facebook letting me know I was no longer welcome in her establishment. If you're looking for service with a smile or even slightly edible food, I would skip. There are too many other options on the island to settle for this place. read more

Adding on a 20% "service fee" is the same as flipping the middle finger and saying don't come back. The ceaser salad in a cereal bowl with NO Caesar dressing is bad enough, but it wasn't even the good part of the lettuce. Then surprise, you didn't add enough on to the menu price. Visited twice while on the island for a quick get away. Excellent food, extraordinary staff. Feels like they've been there for a long time, yet they are new. I have had is not consistent, their pizza was very good 3-4 months ago. It was not edible last time I ordered it. Had the hot dog this last time it was good better then I Expected. First time went to teaguers today for a breakfast buffet. We arrived and they told us to sit anywhere. After 15 minutes, no waiter or waitress came to serve drinks. After another 10 min, we were waiting for plates. Finally plates came out. Then we were told that they were out of food, and still awaiting service. Being a local this is a disgrace. It's been awhile since I've had to leave a one star for a place (you really have to work for it from me and be absolutely abysmal) and it's a shame too because I really wanted to like this place seeing as there are few options for us locals to enjoy in the "off season". As usual I did my three times visiting to establish just how bad this place really is. First time the wife and I went and the service was friendly but extremely slow and food was mediocre...okay we chalked it up to the place was new and had to get their sea legs. The second time was a take out order. Placed the order via phone okay no issues there...went to pick it up...not ready...okay I can chill for a bit and wait...when the order was finally ready (45 minutes after the initial time given) it wasn't even what I had ordered....this was AFTER confirming in the initial call then again when I came to pick up...the attitude I received was borderline offensive like this was my fault. The third and final strike came with the third visit. This visit was several months after incident number two so I was figuring maybe things would be better...nope...just a bad deal all the way around. Sorry to say, but this place is not worth the expenditure of my hard earned money. So good job Teaguers, you earned yourselves one of the very few bad reviews I've ever had to write. read more

My husband and I had a great time there and the day we went the bartender was the waitress as well and did a wonderful job keeping up with the bar and tables. I also read some of the reviews and some of them are personal preference like the fries not crispy enough I had the fried and they were awesome or someone came out of the bar drunk, it's a pub that's going to happen. Shrimp basket was actually decent. Fries are kinda not crispy enough. Sandwiches are ok for the price. Better than Subway. Meh place.
