I'm from the NY/NJ/Philly area so my pizza and pizza shop type food (sandwiches, pasta, sides etc) is pretty high. If you are from that area, do not bother trying Ledo's. The pizza is pretty terrible. It has no body to it (flat and lifeless imo) and the cheese and sauce are both terribad. I've tried the pasta here (fettuccini) and the pasta tasted overcooked; the whole entree tasted like the quick frozen stuff you can get @ the grocery store. The rolls they use for sandwiches are not good, and the meats again taste like frozen stuff that they threw in the microwave. I tried this place because a few friends who have lived in gaithersburg/the village recommended it as really good, and surprising it got decent ratings here. The only reason it gives 2 stars is because I would give dominos/papa johns/other crappy national chains 1 star, and fortunately Ledo's is better than national chains (except for little caesars; it is the only pizza around here that is somewhat acceptable. That is a combination of the price & the fact that it is closer to "real" pizza than other places in the are, although in the northeast I would never eat it). I suppose they do a good job catering to the pizza consuming crowd down here and that is fine. If you guys like it and enjoy eating it that is all that matters. read more

I used to go to this Ledos all the time but have stopped going. It isn't about the food, which I have always liked. I stopped going because this particular Ledo Pizza (when I have gone) has either CNN or ESPN on the TV and it is NON STOP bashing of this country and the President. My gosh... it is NON STOP. When I go out to eat, I want to relax and unwind. I don't want to think about politics. I want to relax with good company and conversation. The last time I went, I walked out before my food arrived due to the hatred spewing out from the television. The food is good. Yes. But if you want lunch or dinner without CNN and ESPN, you might want to think twice before going. I really like this quaint little Italian restaurant nestled right on Muncaster Mill. I like how their pizzas are square and freshly made. It's more on the thin crust side (I love the crunch), so it's more lighter than the "fast-food" pizza places. I've also tried one of their pasta dishes (Three Cheese Tortellini, i think) and it was pretty delicious (and cheap!) as well as filling. I really want to try more of their foods. This used to be my go to place for pizza. Still love the recipe and will patron OTHER Ledo locations, but not this one. Tried to take advantage of the $5 calzones today but the web site was not working. Added 2 calzones to my basket and then tried to check out. Got an error that said I was not authorized to update the basket. Very confusing since I was one, not trying to update it, and two, I was trying to pay for my order. After logging out of my account and logging back in again, same result. So, I called and explained this to the Muncaster Mill Ledo and they said no problem and I placed my order on the phone. When I went to pick it up, I was charged $7.99 per calzone and not the $5 deal because I did not order online. Since I explained to them the problem with the online order when I was on the phone with them, and yes, I have a screen capture of the error message, I fully expected to get the online price especially since they did not say I would have to pay full price. They would not change the price in the store, so I will no longer patron this location. I understand a third party handles their online orders and the technical issue was not their fault, but as a merchant wanting to make their customer happy, they should have honored the online price. Never again Muncaster Mill Ledo, my business will go to another franchise. read more

I know Ledos is a chain restaurant, but I dined in at this location and thought it was worth reviewing. We had the asiago bruschetta, spaghetti with meat balls, and fettuccini bolognese. The portions for the pasta were more than adequate. The asiago bruschetta was delicious, but I have to point out the bread was garlic bread and not a typical bruschetta. The spaghetti with meatballs had a good sauce to noodle ratio and the meatballs were a fair size. The fettuccini bolognese had a pleasant kick, and was not over sauced. The service was excellent. The waitress (Victoria) was very attentive and had a great attitude. She offered suggestions when asked and was just a nice person to deal with. SUBS (NOT PIZZA) I'm not a fan of their pizza. It's not that it's nasty...it's that everyone has different taste and ledos sauce is extremely different. It's not like any sauce I've had & it's very tangy..just not my cup of tea. Their cheese steak subs however, are amazing. Toasted sub roll with cheese topped grilled steak and whatever toppings you ask for (I get grilled onions & Mayo). Ledo's is definitely one of my favorite pizza places. Namely because of their buffalo pizza with Ledo pizza sauce, some buffalo sauce which tastes just like Frank's Red Hot, melted provolone cheese and roasted chicken. As a vegetarian I ask for no chicken and add blue cheese crumbles. They go lightly on the red hot and blue cheese so it's not overloaded with toppings, but the red hot and the blue cheese crumbles add major flavor. I normally don't pig out especially at lunch time, but it's difficult not to eat the entire buffalo pizza in one sitting. The crust is really thin so you don't waste all of your calories on crust, instead you actually get to have a flavorful pizza. This pizza is definitely worth trying. read more

I ordered a White Florentine Calzone and Greek stumboli and was absolutely shocked at the quality. The cheese was LIQUID and the calzone bread was a sad deflated piece of cardboard. It was the worst thing I ever ordered from any establishment, worse than even McDonald's (sorry, but it was terrible). I ate about 3 bites before I realized that the liquid cheese was disgusting. The stumboli was the same and the bread was soggy. The person(s) who made this order clearly didn't care about the quality behind the Ledo's name. Again, I am not sure how this branch has nearly 5 stars. It deserves 2 AT MOST (probably fake reviews). Notice how other reviews are reviewing Ledo's itself, which is a very good franchise with good food. I am in no way bashing Ledo's, I am bashing this branch. Utter trash, would never order from again. If you live in the area and want quality Ledo's calzones (or anything), I implore you to please go to the Ledo's on Rockville Pike. It is worlds better than this disgrace to the Ledo's name that deserves to be shutdown or brought up to code by management. The calzones at the Rockville Pike branch actually have form and don't have fucking liquidated cheese and sad cardboard bread that looked like it was baked by a 9 year old.
