I visit a lot of food spots around my community in Gaithersburg, MD and the surrounding area. With the sports playoffs going on, I've recently been checking out several Wingstop locations around the DMV. Unfortunately, I hadn't been impressed--service, cleanliness, and flavor were all disappointing. Today, I decided to give Wingstop one last chance, and I'm glad I did. The Flower Hill Wingstop next to Giant completely changed my opinion. From the moment I walked in, the service was excellent, the restaurant was clean, and the food flavor was on point. Everything about the experience was truly 5-star. I really hope Wingstop recognizes and commends the evening shift that worked today, because they were outstanding. We have always loved Wingstop and have been going for years. On this occasion, we decided to order and eat it there. The service was wonderful. They actually got our order wrong, but they were able to correct it very quickly. We even heard someone say, "Make sure to apologize for the mistake," which they did. We got our favorite and go-to wings, garlic parmesan classic wings. Delicious as always. We also got the Cajun boneless wings. Perfect amount of sauce and Cajun seasoning. I have a pretty low standard for wing-places based on my experiences in the past (wings too small, cold by the time I eat them, takes too long) but this Wingstop was fantastic! Ordered a little less than an hour before closing time (sorry!) and the wings still came out perfect! They were chunky and good sized, tasty, and piping hot still even by the time I got home to eat them. Plus I only needed to wait 15 minutes for my order! I got the lemon pepper, garlic parmesean, and the louisianna rub. All were super tasty and flavorful, and I enjoyed the different kick among the three. It's typical Wingstop flavors but the service here is really good. The wings were very crispy and tossed with an ample amount of sauce. Boneless wings aren't for me, I'll stick with classic from now on. Atomic was gross. Not a good flavor and just hot enough to be annoying. Hickory bbq is a definite yes. Standard bbq sauce that's got a bit of sweetness to it. Cajun has a ton of pepper in it and so it's not going to be an everytime one. The staff is inefficient. On several occasions, they have given me wrong and erroneous orders, and today they are not helping at the moment with issuing refunds for products that are not available. I've ordered a large and regular ranch and blue cheese dressing for the wings . I overestimated how Much dressing it will be. They gave us 9 sauces. We used only 2 for the wings. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. This Wingstop location absolutely sucks, and honestly they don't even deserve 1 star. I have given this location multiple chances, and they still are not able to properly cook wings. Every time I take a chance and order from this location my wings are always under cooked and barely have any sauce/flavoring on them. I always ask for the wings to be cooked "extra well done" and they do the complete opposite as if they don't understand the meaning of well done. Each time my wings have been jelly-like smh. First time customer and I had a mixed order of lemon pepper and parmesan garlic wings with an order of the seasoned fries. The wings have a very crunchy outer coating that I really liked. It's definitely different from the typical wings I've tried. The seasoned fries were a little soggy for my liking and the ranch dressing was watery. I have to assume the dressing is made from a mix. 3 stars is for the decent buffalo hot wings and fresh fries. Service is meh and it takes awhile to get your order but at least you know it's hot out of the fryer. Fries were hot. Buffalo wings were pretty good. Just the right amount of spiciness. I wished they wouldn't drown the fries with sugar and the wings in hot sauce. Amazing service and super friendly staff. Came in around 9:45PM with family visiting from out of town, kids included. We took longer than usual to Order since my brother has never eaten here before, the staff was so patient and helped us figure out our flavors. They gave us samples of the sauces, and shared their favs. Food came out super fresh and amazing! The place was clean and bathrooms as well. Really enjoyed the wings but what made it better was the friendly service provided by Mia, Sam, and Paul. Jennifer at this location called me a liar when I told her my order delivered by DoorDash was short. What else is there for me to say? This was the most horrific experience I have ever had with a restaurant. The manager was not available tonight, so Jennifer said she was in charge. Sounds like Robert De Niro from Casino, "when the boss is gone, you could say I am in charge of the casino, you could say that". She told me that she was in the kitchen when her cook made my order and was certain that it was right. She provided two insults In one conversation. First, she called me a liar and second she said she watch the order being made. Is there anyone out there that would contact a restaurant to say they are short by four wings and ask for their bill to be prorated if it were not true. Wingstop has been a childhood destination of mine ever since I've lived in Maryland; however, the location I used to go unfortunately closed down, so I ended up going to the location in Flower Hill. Now, Wingstop is infamous for long waits, but this wait was extremely long, like unusually long. I was quite happy with wings though, so I didn't find it an issue, and I'm not usually very picky about small issues like this because I understand food takes time. However, a friend of mine's wings were a bit cold, it wasn't an issue of mine personally. One thing I am dissatisfied with is the fact that my fries were extremely stale. This particular batch was just horrible, in which not only did all my friends agree with, but the woman arguing with the employees obviously did as well. Woman demanded new fries as hers were stale, the employees were extremely compliant and gave her a new batch in a minute or so. She did come back in about ten minutes saying that her order was completely wrong and that she wanted her money back. Talk about dinner and a show! Wingstop definitely upgraded their entertainment as watching employees and the woman argue back and forth was much more entertaining than any of the sports teams. Best show I've gotten for twelve dollars. But in all seriousness, this a really casual spot to eat, so I don't really expect the best atmosphere. In this case, the employees actually handled things well and were very respectful, and the interaction was entertaining for my friends and I as we are a bunch of teenagers, so I didn't take any points off for the atmosphere.
