It's located in a beautiful neighborhood, King Farm (quite scenic), where there's street parking, but also a parking lot a little bit further away. Walking in there were a couple of places to sit, which was nice. The workers there were also very kind and greeted us with a smile and seated us right away. They were patient and ready for whenever we were ready to order. The wings were amazing. We got a ton of different flavors and none of them disappointed. The flavors and the seasonings were all strong and just made it perfect for a beer. Definitely coming back here again for more wings. read more

We got the 10pc soy garlic wings along with some appetizers to try. It was lightly sauced and crisp. Pieces were on the bigger side. The meat was tender, juicy and fresh. It tasted very clean. DON Chicken is way less greasy than some other kfc places like Bonchon which is a plus. Fries were good too and the pickled radish was perfect with the chicken. Items were packaged well for takeout. They put a layer of aluminum foil underneath the chicken which blocks it from making contact with the box. There was a sheet of parchment underneath the fries as well. Very thoughtful packaging. I am not a local; I'm from LA and happened upon this place while in town. I am incredibly upset, as this was the BEST breaded chicken I have ever had! The breading was crispy, the chicken was juicy, and the sauce was delicious. Most impressively, the breading was so crunchy that when I ate it the next day, it retained its crunch! Truly a transcendental chicken experience. The service and ambiance were decent. They were in the middle of a menu change, so it was a bit confusing to order the first time, and some items on the menu were actually no longer being served. The prices are fair for everything except the fried oysters. The fried oysters are actually a STEAL! I paid $9 for 8 fried oysters, which is an insanely good price for freshly prepared oysters. It's interesting to read some of the other reviews because it's pretty clear folks dunno what Korean Fried chicken is. Furthermore boneless wings aren't wings, they're fried tenders or breast. We got the crispy chicken wings and the green onion combo platter. The batter seems to be some kind of garlic pepper brine, which lives an interesting aftertaste in the mouth. The tempura veggies are actually really good, it's basically a Korean veggie pancake (pajeon). The menu pics don't do it justice. Very crispy, fresh made. I wish they would combine toppings though, green onion and snow etc. There are a lot of wings and drums! Staff is very nice and kind, small discount for cash payment. Price is slightly lower than other KFCs in the area. Vibes are cozy lounge with slow kpop in the background. They also got a Korean instant ramen machine which while amusing is not something I'd pay for at a restaurant. 2.28.25 Based on the high reviews, I was very excited to try this new restaurant which opened on December 18. I ordered a small soy garlic, boneless wings. I was surprised to learn that it was $15.95 (discounted price for cash payment) and that does not even include any sides except for pickled daikon. I did order a side of jasmine rice. I thought the serving for the small was generous and hearty. The chicken was crispy and the wings were huge. The downside was there was barely any coating of the sauce. When I go to Bonchon or other Korean restaurants, the chicken is coated in the sauce to the point where you need napkins to wipe your hands. That is not the case here. If you ask for additional sauce, there is a $2 charge. I really enjoyed their jasmine rice and the daikon. The rice was chewy and moist, one of the best that I've had anywhere. Given that other restaurants include sides with the chicken for roughly the same price, I am inclined to go to other restaurants. To me, it is odd to have the sauce separated from the chicken when I got the food to go. I understand that probably the intention is to make sure the chicken stays crispy. And for anyone who hates eating old leftovers, TRUST when I say that you can eat the chicken straight cold the day after and it still somehow tastes just as good! This self service Korean fried chicken restaurant is located in the town square of Kings Farm. Previous restaurants in this location has been disappointing so I am super thrilled that DON Chicken just opened! We tried the original, soy garlic, sweet and spicy and the Tteokboki. Soy garlic was definitely my favorite sauce and the Tteokboki was excellent. I usually don't like sauce on my fried chicken as most places smother it with sauce which takes away the crunch, however, it was lightly covered in this sweet and savory sauce.
