You see reviews with 1 stars when they didn't deserve the one star; that's the case here. Giving them one star is too generous. This review is based on two visits where they were equally horrible with bad attitudes. Both times they were grossly unstaffed, service was subpar and the food questionable. My POV is they should train the staff better, as in more than the very basics and how to proactively schedule the employees. The first pizza we ordered was dry, having very little sauce... very little. We ordered a dozen wings, they gave us ten. This restaurant should be inspected for possible safe food handling issues. I'm holding back because there was so many wrong things but you get where I'm going. I love Ledo's but absolutely refuse to ever go to this location again. I always like to give a second chance but why when there are so many other restaurants that deserve my loyalty. read more

Tried Ledo's for the first time 2 nights ago. Waitress was great! Attentive. Filled drinks before empty. Cheese fries were weird. Non seasoned waffle fries with liquid cheese sauce, melted mozzarella and bacon. Not a great tasting combination. They look amazing though! Ordered a thick pepperoni, extra cheese pizza and sausage and mushroom pizza. I am a pizza lover and I was disappointed. Toppings were great! Sauce was too sweet, no tang to it. That's a turn off. The crust looked and tasted like a homemade pan pizza on a cookie sheet. No great flavor, very blah. I will go back and try a gyro sometime. This is crazy! Your gluten free pizza is so small it doesn't even touch the sides of the small box. While it's good the price is ridiculous in comparison to the large. ($12 for the GF and $24 for the large specialty) For those not on a diet and dealing with celiac it would take a couple of these to pizza's to fill up. I specified "juicy" as I have had burgers elsewhere that others cook too long and they get dry--ugh. Made exactly as requested, topped with provolone, lettuce, tomato, sauteed onions and I added ketchup (deleted pickle and mayo). Added a side of fries that I believe is $1.79, enough to share with wife that had a shrimp appetizer--the one with Old Bay Seasoning. Total bill with tip was $15.32. VERY REASONABLE in my opinion, for delicious food made to order--Oh, I forgot to mention, the french fries are awesome...real potatoes cut and fried, fresh to order. Ledo's consistently excels. It's franchise so the hamburgers are not a "menu" item but store-specific. i was trying to eat my food and watched my server scrubbing the floor with her hands, i'm disgusted, extremely unhygienic and unsanitary.

The inside was clean, but it took forever for a server to come to us and they weren't busy. Then they didn't have juice or milk for the kids. As I was leaving I heard my server complaining that she only got a $3.00 tip, while I understand that's not a lot that is all I had and was gracious to give to her. Got that resolved and waiting for wings, they come up not as ordered and I had them remade. It hurts me to give Ledo's two stars but it was not very good. I ordered a steak and cheese to find that once I got it , it was no longer a sub. I was not told this. My family and I always enjoy our visits to Ledo's. The pizza is good. We like the breadsticks. And we love the house salad dressing.

I hesitated to go here because we were looking for something local, as opposed to a chain, but we were with a group and Ledo won the group vote. I'm actually glad we went here because the MeatLover's Calzone that I had was very good. My wife ordered the Greek Stromboli but it had a strange taste to it, which I believe was due to the lemon vinaigrette on top of the feta cheese. Neither of us really liked it but we powered through it anyway because of my apparent eating disorder. Everyone else in our group said that they were very pleased with their pizzas as well, which all looked pretty delicious to me. Prices were reasonable, portions were great, and the service was good. Worst experience ever. Typically this place is great...but.....ordered fries with wings as an app. Tiny order of fries with no wings came out. 10 minutes later finally the wings came out. Over cooked and way too much seasoning. I could not even eat them. Then the chicken parmigiana came out. The chicken was the salad chicken not the breast, when we asked we were told there were no breast. They were out it was terrible it was dry so we sent it back. Then asked for the manger who acted very awkward and said she could maybe discount our meal. The ticket returned with an employee discount and the chicken parmigiana still on the check. I'm new to the town and stopped by because the Jamaican restaurant was closed. The food service took 20 minutes for a take out sandwich. The staff was friendly. However, I asked for whole wheat bread- instead got a Ciabatta though both are options. I also asked for soup and instead of a normal bowl was given in a tray- a sandwich tray. At the very least they could have given me another option. For 8 dollars the sandwich was really really small and not worth the cost. On a good note- when I called to complain ( I didnt even know about the bread fiasco until I came home)- they were apologetic and offered to replace it free of charge next time. read more

We wanted to go to Logan's on Friday nite but was too crowded. My husband said let's go to Ledo's - the one in Charlestown is good and is fast. Went in and sat down - waited 10 minutes for order to be taken and another 1/2 hour before food arrived for my husband and daughter - mine seemed to been lost. They did not provide utensils or napkins - We had to ask 3 times before we even got napkins. Our waitress said they were not available - At one point there was even a conference between 3 waitress over providing forks and knives. Finally my meal arrived - not what I asked for. Sent it back and requested bill and box as our patience ran out. Waited again to pay because the waitress was crying in kitchen about how mean we were. I used to waitress when I was going to school and am very nice to overtipping the staff but not 1 penny did she get. When my husband and I are out running errands on a Saturday, we often stop here for for the salad, soup and breadsticks combo. It is delicious, reasonably priced, and we usually bring home half the salad. I highly recommend it! read more
