Bumping back up. Flippin has been majorly letting me down on all fronts as of late (pizza quality, customer service, etc.) and I've started going back to Ledo's as my go-to pizza place. One of the girls who used to know me back when I ordered from here primarily, recognized me instantly and asked how me and my dog were doing--amazing she would remember details like that for one customer after all this time. My pizzas have been reliably awesome every time I've gone in recent weeks and I actually questioned why I ever went elsewhere (but remembered it's because Ledo's doesn't deliver...still hoping they change this soon!!). My review below references a bad customer service experience with one of their employees, however, I haven't had one since and hadn't had one prior--so this is clearly a case of "one bad apple." Ledo happens to be my daughter's favorite pizza. We usually split a pizza but I sometimes get a calzone. Very good calzones! My son loves the fries; they serve very thin shoestring fries, usually salty. The pizza is the king here, though. Warning, the pepperoni is greasy. I spend some time dabbing the grease with my napkins. I have ordered a couple of lean combos (without pepperoni) that are good. The pizza sauce is delicious. Friendly service at the Reston location, although I have not been to others. I only wish Ledo would deliver. read more

After my last review of Ledos Hunter Woods I had a few comments about my last visit. I was pretty much in shock at the food and service that I received, that said I did contact Ledos directly. I did not do this necessarily to complain but to inquire as to why things had changed to such a high degree. I was contacted by the owner today and got exactly the response that I expected. He was very courteous and really showed why this location had been so great for all the years my wife and I have been patronizing Ledo Hunter woods. I was very pleased with the conversation, He remembered us by name and that's pretty good for a business that serves so many people. He offered a solution to our concerns and went out of his way to thank us for being great customers for all these years. I do believe that's it is important to give compliments to businesses that go over and beyond the normal service. Arrived, was seated and our server was quick to take out drink order, we had an appetizer and then the Ledos deluxe pizza. Everything was perfect, my glass stayed full and we were attended to in the way we had become accustomed to at this location. Jesus the manager was exceptional along with the rest of the staff and I am pleased to say that this location is back on top for us. I like Ledo's...but one thing I REALLY wish they would do when dining in would be to serve the pizza on some kind of vented plate. When you order a pizza, say a meat lovers, that plastic serving plate gets tons of OIL on the bottom and without ventilation, the pizza gets very soggy and oily. My kids love their kids spaghetti...its the sweet marinara they use. I wish they gave more however, as the portions seem to be getting smaller. All in all, a decent dining experience. read more

This place may be acceptable for dinner, but lunch is a definite no-go. My thrifty coworkers often want to go here because the food is cheap, so I've given this Ledo's location 4 or 5 attempts at redemption, and they simply cannot fail fast enough. The staff do not understand their role, the food is ledos-acceptable, and the atmosphere is ... blah. On a recent visit, our table had 4 orders... 3 all-you-can-eat soup/salad combos and one small pizza. NONE of the all-you-can-eaters got more than one serving of their soup/salad combos. And, the guy that ordered the pizza got TWO. drinks were mixed up or missing, and get this.... Somehow the food was cold, but the salad was warm. Really? Who is capable of messing that up? Go next door. There are at least 5 better, and just as cheap, options within 100 paces of this place. read more

A solid 4 stars.... My buddy introduced me to this place yesterday as we picked up a pizza for the Cowboys-Redskins game. Picked up a few beers at the Safeway across the street too. They had a whole lot of choices, and it was great. It looks like they have other stuff too such as subs, pasta, etc. We took the pizza home with us and I felt this was excellent pizza, my friend was right it was good. What I like about this place is that even though it is a chain, it seems like a neighborhood place. I only say that because I have been there with a group of people who go almost every week and everything has been great. I went a few times in a row but then did the vegan thing for a few months and there wasn't anything I could eat on the menu. Even the salad dressing is creamy. And the salad comes with cheese. I did have a mushroom sub without cheese which was pretty good but honestly I could have made the same thing at home. I noticed that our group has always had excellent service. But I suppose that happens when you are with regulars. I was also noticing other small groups that seemed to show up on the same night. That's what made it seem neighborhood-like: the usual crowd, the manager coming over and recognizing us, knowing our servers... But one time I went during the day...(crickets) It was like a different place. I kept asking what was vegetarian (soup base and things like that) and granted, it might have been a pain for the server, he should have pieced together that possibly I didn't eat meat. Well, after the questions and the modifications to my sandwich, he brought me a side salad with meat in it. And then we couldn't find him to ask for a salad without meat, which in a way was impressive since the place is pretty small. read more

Typical pizzaria atmosphere, clean and comfortable. Fairly comprehensive menu of appetizers, pasta, pizza and other Italian favorites. The crab, artichoke and cheese appetizer is excellent. Pizza crust is thin and flaky. Good but I prefer hand tossed. Ingredients taste fresh and the pizza sauce is great. Pepperoni is thick cut which I do not like. It just ends up lubbing the pizza. Its gets a 2 cause the food is good but the service during lunch sucks! I get Togo because I live right around the corner. I went in for the first time the other night, I had this super sweet girl help me find a pizza and I really enjoyed it. I came back this afternoon and ordered the same pizza. Except it came out with what looked like a little goat cheese dabbled here and there. The girl had offered me regular cheese with it. When went to tell him that she offered regular chz and that's how I wanted it he immediately got defense and said the computer didn't give him that option. What???!?! I have a baby face so I look like I'm 16 and I get brushed off as a customer a lot. I'm actually 24 and have been working in restaurants since I was 16. When he told me the total I put my head down to count my money went to hand it to him and he was gone, no be right back, just give me one second ma'am. Just gone. Then he was up front playing on his phone the whole time. Didn't offer any parmesan or crushed red pepper. When my pizza was wrong he just grabbed it from and said I'll make a new one. Not do you have time for us to make a new one, which I didn't. But then I was stuck sitting there. And not once did a manager come up and ask me what happened. So I've been hunting for pizza all afternoon and accidentally found Ledo Pizza - yelp recommended and I'm not disappointed. The pesto bruschetta is fantastic and the pizza isn't what I was expecting but I wasn't disappointed. Light and fluffy, with a nice crispy bite around the edges. It was pointed out to be careful with over ordering because of the portion size and they were right their small is more like a normal medium at a chain restraint. I was only in the area for the weekend but my unusual algorithm for picking a place to get lunch brought me to this Ledo Pizza. Ordering takeout at this joint was pretty efficient and no-fuss. Way to go Ledo's Pizza! We ordered pizza for the office. The delivery was on time and the pizza was still hot. Unfortunately, my dessert tray was forgotten. The driver said the dessert tray was not on the order but he would be happy to go back and get it. I told him no, that was ok. I used to take my grandkids there ages ago... but just recently my propty manager odered pizza and Caesar salad that was very good. Do Sunday, 6/17 around 5pm I went and ordered a chicken parmesan sub and a Caesar salad. The sub was wonderful BUT the Caesar salad left a lot to be desired... close to half of the Romaine lettuce was the bottom part of the lettuce (stem portion with colorless lettuce). I have been a good customer of this pizza place for a long time. I order out all the time as it is my favorite tasting pizza around. The problem is the customer service apparently by the on duty manager at my last visit to pick up a $20.00 large pizza. I asked for some oregano to go for the pizza that is typically on an in restaurant table along with the red pepper in the jars. The manager told me it would cost EXTRA. I did not even ask how much and told him that was ridiculous. For a twenty dollar pizza you would think they could give you a bit of oregano to shake on it. read more

This Ledo's always satisfies, but to be honest, pretty much the only pizza I ever order is with pre-cooked bacon and black olives. I swear, with the pre-cooked bacon, they give you an entire pound of bacon. It's unbelievably unhealthy, to be sure, but it's damn good. 4 stars instead of 5 because probably one out of every ten times they don't throw the bacon on at the end, and because the Virginia Ledo's are not quite as good as the Ledo's we used to get in Maryland when I was a kid. read more

I am a pizza connoisseur, and this is my favorite pizza on the planet! I find myself with a strong urge on a weekly basis to stop in and have some plain cheese (with extra sauce) from Ledo Pizza in Reston. I have also eaten at a few of the other Ledo's in the area, but none of them compare to this one. They have awesome thin crust square pizza and I'm not really a big sauce person, but their Ledo sauce is really yummy! They also have great french fries, and great cheesecake. I love their pizza and could easily eat their a few times a week. I'm normally a double pepperoni gal, or sometimes a meat lovers. The subs are a good choice too. I was unimpressed when a dining companion got their lackluster spaghetti and meatballs but that's not something I would order. Our whole family loves the pizza at Ledo! The sauce is zesty and fresh tasting, and the crust pretty crispy and thin. The staff at Ledo are very nice and accommodating - we normally get a medium pizza with half being the margarita (fresh mozzarella and basil) and other half being Hawaiian (ham and pineapples). The pizza is shaped like a rectangle and cut into small cute squares. It is crazy how fulfilling 2-3 little squares are! I think this has to do with the fact that Ledo does not skimp on the cheese (sometimes, maybe a little bit heavy handed with the cheese but I am not really complaining), the sauce, or the toppings. My son likes to take a few squares to school for lunch, and the cold squares are great for late-night snack and/or breakfast. The location is also convenient as it is next to the grocery store and a Dairy Queen (a dipped cone totally hits the spot)! There is plenty of parking. All-around a great place! read more

Ledo Pizza is #1! Our favorite is the Reston Hunters Woods location... The staff are so pleasant and attentive as well as happy working there. Happy employees represent great supervisors/owner and that is as important to me as a customer. Atleast once a week we pick up or dine in at Ledo's. Everything is yummy...I especially am fond of the White Florentine Calzone!!! Oh boy...it's just soooooo perfectly made and hits the spot EVERY TIME! I ordered two calzones tonight for a pick up....went home to enjoy dinner and we were so beyond satisfied with the food that we HAD to order two more calzones for tonight! We didn't save a bite for the next day because it was simply delicious! My high compliments, as usual to the staff for making our relaxed time at home after work so peaceful and filling. Wouldn't recommend. There were only two other customers in the restaurant when we arrived, so the poor service was not a capacity issue. Got two parts of our order wrong and then we were charged for an extra entree. Pizza was lackluster. Other food was just ok. The Annoyingly Bad: Update: just deleted 2 stars. Why? How hard is it to cut a pizza all the way through the crust? So tired of them cutting through the cheese and sauce, and not much more. Last week we even asked them - begged them - to cut it carefully since we were bringing pizzas to where there'd be no knives to cut it ourselves. It was worse than ever. If you looked underneath the pizza, you could see most pieces weren't cut through the bottom crust at all. And cuts you could see didn't make it through the outside edges, which are thicker. All the cheese and sauce on one piece fell onto the table when trying to *rip* two pieces apart - because they weren't cut. Please sharpen your cutting tools and/or the skills of your employees. Train them. Give them a visual. Demonstrate what happens when you try to separate pieces that aren't cut through. I want to give you 5 stars! The Great: Very thin crust, with a sauce that's a touch sweet. Perfect ratio of crust/sauce/cheese. The kids who answer the phone are upbeat and polite. The chicken parm with spaghetti is excellent for a fast-ish food place. They now offer gluten-free crust. read more
